Information Density: Bluebonnet Feeds – Signal Evidence & AI Readability

Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
21 Impact Weight: 30 / 100
70% Reputation

Information density is relatively high, evidenced by the citation of a specific manufacturing location (Ardmore, Oklahoma) and a named PhD nutritionist (Dr. Jyme Nichols). While headings like ‘Solutions Without Shortcuts’ and ‘Honest Research. Unbiased Data’ utilize power words, the body text provides technical substance, such as the commitment to an ‘ionophore-free’ facility. However, density is slightly diluted by the repetition of the ‘single mill’ value proposition across multiple H2 tags and body paragraphs.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

📝 The Narrative — clean text per page (the substance-vs-filler signal)

From a single mill in Ardmore, Oklahoma - to your feed room.
Since the early 80s, we’ve built a reputation for safe, reliable feeds. Today, we’ve evolved into a company that puts the horse at the center of everything we do. Built on Trust Knowing what goes into your feed and supplements should never be an obstacle. You won't see our tags use common label tricks or vague ingredients. We’re proud to list each one by their true name and lock those formulas. You can be confident that you’ll find consistent quality - every bag, every bucket, every time.
Always Safe Standard safety protocols aren’t enough for us. We guarantee that risky ingredients, like ionophores, are never allowed on our property. We also source ingredients from partners who share the same safety values - so there’s never a risk of contamination.
We've Got Your Back
Our entire team is committed to providing personal support to help you feel confident about your nutrition program. Great feed is only part of the equation. That’s why we invest in private nutrition consultations, education, & helpful resources to empower owners to make confident nutrition decisions long after we first meet.
Equine Supplements Feed
Why we're all-in on supplements. It’s ironic that a company known for advanced, research-backed feed formulas also sells supplements. But stick with us — it actually makes perfect sense. ⬇️
Supplements aren’t magic bullets. They're precision nutrition tools designed to support specific wellness goals and keep key systems thriving. They're meant to work hand-in-hand with your nutritionist and vet’s care, and never one-size-fits-all.
Without the foundational nutrition of a balanced feed, supplements can be like literally throwing money in the muck bucket, and we're not here for that. In a perfect world, your horse would get everything they need from their feed. But horses don’t live in a perfect world — they live in our world. One with stress, unnatural environments, demanding training, and all the unpredictable stuff in between.
That’s why we don’t stop at feeding your horse right. We go the extra mile with thoughtful, researched, and effective solutions. Supporting your horse doesn’t mean overcomplicating their feed. It means giving them the edge to feel their best, whether that’s starting stronger, recovering quicker, or sharing more years together.

We're here for the horses, but we're known for amazing nutrition for other species too.
It might be surprising that a company known for advanced, research-backed equine feed formulas also makes poultry and livestock feed. But stick with us - it actually makes perfect sense. What happens when all your ingredients are horse-quality but you need to make feed for other species? It's simple. Those other feeds get the good stuff too and that results in equally impressive formulas for all animals.

While horses are at the heart of our story, poultry has always been a part of how we serve animal lovers. Every Bluebonnet poultry formula is built with the same research-backed ingredients, safety standards, and attention to detail as our equine feeds. From laying hens to growing chicks, we focus on delivering nutrition that supports stronger shells, steady egg production, and healthier birds overall. The result? More eggs, happier hens, and flocks that thrive year-round.

[H2] Nutrition Consult FAQs
When you connect with a Bluebonnet® nutrition expert, you’re not getting a script — you’re getting a real conversation with someone who understands horses and the everyday challenges that come with keeping them healthy. Every consult is different, but depending on your needs, we may help you: Make sense of forage tests (and suggest improvements if needed). Build a balanced diet tailored to your horse’s lifestyle and goals. Walk through allergy panel results. Break down ingredient labels and show you what to look for. Explore "functional" and "nutritional" supplement options, but only if they'll help your horse. Talk through stress, travel, or herd dynamics that could be affecting your horse. Compare feeding options and break down cost per day so you can stay on budget.
We’re here to help with nutrition - but there are some things we’re not qualified (or legally allowed) to provide. Here’s what we won’t do during a consultation: Prescribe medications. Give medical advice or diagnose health conditions. Recommend specific training methods, riding techniques, or equipment choices. If your horse’s situation needs medical attention or specialized support, we’ll always recommend you work with a licensed veterinarian, certified farrier, equine dentist, or professional trainer.
Following form submission, one of our nutrition consultants will reach out in 5-7 business days.
Of course! We totally understand that some people prefer to learn on their own time. Check out these resources: Our Equine Nutrition Blog: For the readers. Deep dives on all things horse nutrition, from feed basics to the latest research. The Feed Room Chemist Podcast: For the listeners. Hosted by Dr. Jyme Nichols, PhD, this podcast is packed with expert insights, and actionable tips, and can be taken in on the road, doing laundry, or on a ride! 🧭 Industry Context — common generic-claim patterns in Agriculture & Farming to weigh the text against
Generic Claims: feeding the world, generations of farming experience, committed to sustainability, quality you can trust, from our farm to your table, naturally grown…
Red Flags: organic claims without certification details, no farm location or land details, stock photos of generic farmland, sustainability claims without specific practices, no seasonal product variation (suggests reselling), vague origin descriptions…
Semantic Drift Patterns: homepage claims organic but product pages show conventional options, homepage targets direct consumers but services are wholesale-only, claims small-farm values but operations describe industrial scale, sustainability messaging on homepage absent from product pages…
Proof Expectations: specific certification numbers and bodies (USDA Organic, Soil Association), named farm locations with verifiable addresses, specific crop varieties and growing methods, supply chain transparency with named partners, dated harvest and production information, lab test results or quality audit documentation…
