Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
21 Impact Weight: 30 / 100
70% Reputation

The site exhibits high substance, citing specific names like Peter Senior, Patrick, and Peter Junior, alongside a precise physical address at 87 Loughgall Road. While headings like AWARD WINNING FAMILY BUSINESS contain common power words, they are immediately followed by granular historical data (founded in 1968) and specific product names like Blossom Burst Cider. The body substance ratio is favorable, though the homepage suffers from concept repetition, featuring the same McKeever family history paragraph twice in different sections. Information density is saved by the absence of vague ‘global leader’ claims, focusing instead on ‘Orchard County of Armagh’ specifics.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

DON'T JUST TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT!

I wanted to let you know how much everyone in the club enjoyed the tour
and information on the benefits of cider. You were so knowledgeable of
your products and that made a lot of difference.
Out of all the tours we had this year yours was voted No.1.
Apple Tart and tasting went down a treat.
Thanks to your son for his part during the tour.

Marianne at Boveedy Springwell Club

My husband and I visited Long Meadow Farm while on a tour of Ireland in late August. While there, we had an opportunity to tour the orchard at the farm as well as discover how they process and store their apples. It was so interesting and informative - a real learning event that we will always remember. Following the tour, we ate lunch at the farm and after talking to the owner, Catherine McKeever, about the Irish Cider Vinegar with mother they produce, which she said could possibly help with the night time leg cramps that have troubled me for many years, I decided to purchase a bottle. Although my first thought was "what do I have to loose by trying it?" I'm so glad I took the leap because I have not had any cramps for almost two weeks since I started taking the very small dose recommended .. 2 tsp. per day. Despite the distance that separates us (Missouri, USA, to Ireland), Catherine has graciously answered several questions I have had. For sure this is an amazing product.

Ann Felker - USA

I just wanted to send a very well done tour and tasting applause. We were on a Cara tour from US and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Dennis Martin

We have just discovered the Sparkling Apple juice and cant get enough of it! Fanastic customer service from the team. Called to collect my cases of Apple juice and came away with another great find - their selection of Ciders. Cant decide which one is my favourite! Definitely be buying again!!

Emma

This was a Christmas present & booked the tour for April. Such an enjoyable day made extra special as it is run & operated by the McKeever Family. Very informative yet relaxing day. Delicious produce & soda farls made right in front of our eyes by Cathy!! Couldn’t recommend this highly enough. Will definitely be back when the new barn opens next month. Add it to your todo list!

Muriel

What a wonderful day out - the McKeever family, Pat, Catherine & Peter, welcomed us with open arms to their Apple Farm. They gave us a tour of the farm including the cider vinegar production, the new bottling plant and the cold stores followed by a walk through the orchards to the glass fronted barn where we were met with home made soda bread, jams, chutneys, local cheeses & grapes. Then Catherine gave us a master class on making treacle & sulta soda which we ate hot off the griddle. We then got to sample their wonderful range of ciders and freshly pressed apple juice. We finished off buying gifts for family & friends of all the products we had tasted and came away with free printed recipe cards for apple potato bread, apple pie, scones & of course the family soda bread recipe! Then before going home we bought a box of Bramley Apples for some home baking. We had the best time & I will be watching the website for other events they are planning for the future.

Gillian

Great tour of the orchard and cider making facilitys by the Mckeever family we learned a lot about the cider making process. Tasted the range of ciders including a medium cider, old aged cider and rhubarb and honey ciders to name a few. We also tasted their range of apple juices, apple cider vinegars and other products which contained long meadows apples/ juices or ciders. This was followed by a cooking demonstration where we were shown how to make apple spud bread as Pat the proprietar called it. Both the apple spud bread and home made soda breads tasted fantastic (just like my grandmothers). There were lots of other products to to sample including local butters, jams, chutneys and cheeses. We bought some vinegars juices and Irish Black Butter to take home.

Richard

Fantastic tour at Long Meadow Cider as part of the Armagh Cider Festival, the lunch menu was thoughtful and delicious and they made a real effort to provide me with a great vegetarian option which far exceeded my expectations.
My partner and I learnt so much about the cider making process and found a new appreciation of the hard work and effort that goes into every bottle.
We bought some apple juice and apple cider vinegar and they’re just as delicious as the cider from Long Meadow.
The Mckeever family were so welcoming and so happy to share their story and generations of knowledge.
I would highly recommend for anyone to tour/taste at Long Meadow Cider.

Teresa

We had a tour of the farm today with the griddle bread demonstration. It was really lovely from start to finish. Catherine was so welcoming and created such a relaxed atmosphere. Very informative and we enjoyed the cider tasting. The freshly baked griddle bread was sooo good! It’s great to be able to support a local family run business, I would definitely recommend for all ages.

Lianne

I recently toured your farm on a CIE tour. I bought 2 bottles of your vinegar after hearing you speak about the health benefits. I have suffered from IBS for over 2 decades and never found relief - even under a Dr’s care. Well, let me tell you - your vinegar has been like a miracle (no exaggeration) for me. I’ve been taking 10 ml once a day and for the first time in 2 decades I no longer have pain before, during or after a bowel movement! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Candice

Beautiful cider well worth trying. The Sweet & Medium varieties are both very special. Love it!

Thomas // Banbridge

Just tried Long Meadow Medium Cider last week. Fantastic! Tastes as good as it looks. Perfect with ice in a tall glass.

Eric & Teresa // Dungannon

Delighted to say we've had the opportunity to sample the new cider straight from the barrel. Absolutely wonderful on the nose and really goes down a treat.

Michael & Bernie // Belfast

We are delighted to welcome Long Meadow Ciders to our Festival Events for 2014. Congratulations to Pat and everyone at Long Meadow Farm and we look forward to working with you over the coming year.

Andrew McGrory // Distribution Manager

May I take this opportunity to show my support to all at Long Meadow Farm with their new Cider Products. Really unique Artisan products from the heart of the Orchard County.

Mary Ferguson // General Manager

Long Meadow Sweet Cider? Yummy! I'm a big fan of Artisan Cider and I've tried many varieties. Your Sweet Cider is probably the best I've ever enjoyed. Well done!

Alan // Omagh, Co. Tyrone

Very tasty and natural. I can really sense the time and work that has been invested in your product. It really makes a difference using real Armagh apples!

Evelyn // Rathmines, Co. Dublin

At last! A cider that isn't masked with too many bubbles! I really love the lower carbonation of Long Meadow Cider. Much nicer and a more pleasant experience.

Fergie // Newry, Co. Down

🧭 Industry Context — common generic-claim patterns in Agriculture & Farming to weigh the text against
Generic Claims: feeding the world, generations of farming experience, committed to sustainability, quality you can trust, from our farm to your table, naturally grown…
Red Flags: organic claims without certification details, no farm location or land details, stock photos of generic farmland, sustainability claims without specific practices, no seasonal product variation (suggests reselling), vague origin descriptions…
Semantic Drift Patterns: homepage claims organic but product pages show conventional options, homepage targets direct consumers but services are wholesale-only, claims small-farm values but operations describe industrial scale, sustainability messaging on homepage absent from product pages…
Proof Expectations: specific certification numbers and bodies (USDA Organic, Soil Association), named farm locations with verifiable addresses, specific crop varieties and growing methods, supply chain transparency with named partners, dated harvest and production information, lab test results or quality audit documentation…
