Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
21 Impact Weight: 30 / 100
70% Reputation

The site exhibits high substance-to-fluff ratios in its product descriptions, providing technical specifics such as 3.6mm GRP skin thickness for Residor doors compared to the 1.6mm industry standard. Body text includes granular environmental data, such as 15% recycled vinyl content and 65% recycled content in aluminium screen bars. Heading fluff is present with phrases like ‘Stunning Entrance Doors’ and ‘Award-Winning,’ but these are usually adjacent to specific brand names like Origin or Solidor. Repetition of the ‘fully employed installers’ claim is high across pages, serving as a core value prop but adding little new information after the first instance.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

We are a people-to-people business. You will find us friendly and open whether you deal with the boss, sales and support staff or installers.

[H5] Free Quotations
Our quotes are free and without obligation or pressure. Check our feed back and you will see that our customers often mention that we are a pleasure to deal with. We don’t play any of the games associated with this industry. No falsely inflated prices to show fake discounts. Book a home visit or pop into our Cardiff showroom.
If you have measurements and know exactly what you want, you can email details to us. You may like to use our estimate form to get a broad idea of the cost, but we’re more than happy to visit to measure so that we can provide an accurate quote.
Your purchase is important. It really is worth the effort to visit our Cardiff showroom where you can see the quality of our products and get to know us.

[H2] Our Opening Times

[H5] Pricing Policy
It can be a problem for genuine businesses to compete with companies who double their prices to advertise 50% discounts. When we don’t offer these discounts, customers can think it means that we are expensive. This is a misconception born out of the discount culture that is prevalent in the home improvement industry. What do you want? A price that starts at £10,000 and is reduced to £5,000 after a couple of hours of haggling or someone who carries a genuine price list and tells you straight away that the price is £5,000?
When you visit our showroom, or we visit you, we will measure, advise and either give you a quote there and then or send it to you. It will be the best price we can give. You won’t have to haggle or wonder whether you should have pushed for more. If you read through our feedback on Google, you will see that this approach is mentioned in the comments.

[H5] Quality Control
Fully employed installers mean that we can control the quality. The double-glazing business is inconsistent throughout the year so most companies use self-employed contractors so that they don’t have salary overheads during quiet times. This can lead to unreliable standards. This isn’t good enough for us. We want to control the standards on every installation. For this reason, we fully employ our installers. This also means that our installers can take time out for training because they don’t lose income while they do so.

[H5] Peace of Mind
We’re also Certass approved, and we secure your deposits with QANW Insurance Backed Guaranteed for further peace of mind. Exceptional installers fit our doors and windows with a great deal of expertise backed by continuous training. This is one of the benefits of using a company that fully employs its installers. We insist that they take the time to complete a first-class job, and because they are employed, they can afford to do so. We are Allchecked approved installers with verified reviews.

[H5] Products
We supply all types of windows and doors, including uPVC Windows, aluminium windows and timber windows. If you are buying doors and windows, we supply every type of door. Entrance Doors include composite doors, GRP front doors, uPVC front doors and aluminium doors.
We also supply conservatories, garden rooms and verandas.

[H2] Frequently asked questions about double glazing

[H2] What is Double Glazing?
Double glazing refers to the glazing system in a window or door that is specially designed to insulate a building from both heat loss and noise pollution. Double glazing is made up of two panes of glass with a gap between them, which is filled with insulating gas, and then sealed with a spacer bar around the edge.
This gas acts as a buffer against heat transfer, preventing heat from escaping during the winter while also blocking heat from entering during the summer. This makes double glazing an effective way to regulate the temperature in a home or building and can lead to a reduction in energy bills. Additionally, the two panes of glass provide an extra layer of sound insulation, making double glazing ideal for those who live on busy roads or in noisy areas.
Find out more about double glazing.

[H2] Is it worth replacing old double glazing?
Yes, it is generally worth replacing old double glazing. Old double glazing can have a number of issues, such as leaks, condensation, and reduced energy efficiency, which can result in higher energy bills. Additionally, newer double glazing technologies have improved significantly in recent years, which means that the replacement windows will likely be more energy-efficient and better at insulating your home. This can help you save money on energy bills in the long term, as well as make your home more comfortable to live in.
Savings will depend on the standard of your current glazing. The largest savings come from replacing old single glazing with good qulaity double glazing.

[H2] What is the life expectancy of double glazing?
The life expectancy of double glazing can vary depending on the quality of the installation and the materials used. In general, double glazing can last for around 20 years or more if it’s well-maintained and installed correctly.
Factors like exposure to harsh weather conditions, damage, and wear and tear can impact its lifespan. It’s important to properly maintain your double glazing and to have it checked regularly by a professional to ensure its longevity.
It’s not usually the double-glazing units that end the life of windows although they can fail if air gets into them. The frames can warm especially if they are cheap or very old. Mostly windows are changed becaus

We recycle all the scrap of aluminium, steel, glass, plastic protective bags and cardboardgenerated during the manufacturing process.
The vinyl we use in our doors and windows contain recycled materials of up to 15%.All the vinyl end cuts and vinyl dust that’s created during the manufacturing process isstocked and recycled.
The glass for our windows and doors are sourced from a glass manufacturer that recyclesall the glass scrap. This is known as “cullet”, which makes for about 20% to 25% of theglass composition in our products.
Most of the plastic injected components that we use contain a recycled content of up to15%.
Entry door cut outs are repurposed into insulation for basement concrete floors.
Our aluminium screen bar and grille boasts a recycled content of 65%.
Used steel drums are collected for steel recycling.

Come Home to a door you love when you fit a Residor Composite Door. Over 250 colours and a wide choice of style and accessories means that you can design your own door to suit you and your home.
[H3] Lack of maintenance, high levels of security and energy efficiency have made composite doors the most popular choice in recent years. Residor GRP doors have an incredible lifespan of over 25 years and offer homeowners a wide choice of styles to complement their homes.

[H2] What are Residor Composite Doors Made From?

Residor composite doors are Glass Reinforced Plastic Doors (GRP) and are made by coating a foam slab with a tough plastic skin. This layer is 3.6mm thick on Residor composite doors, which means you benefit from excellent thermal efficiency. Most GRP doors are just 1.6mm thick. Residor composite doors are more than twice the thickness of most composite doors available today.
[H2] GRP Doors
GRP stands for Glass Reinforced Polyester and is more commonly known as fibreglass. This is the waterproof outer layer of the door. The inside is made of a combination of timber and man-made materials depending on the range. GRP doors are also composite doors, being made of a mixture of materials.
GRP is light, requires very little maintenance, and can be manufactured in a variety of attractive colours and textures. GRP doors have high resistance to denting, warping, bowing, twisting, splitting, peeling, flaking, cracking and fading, making them extremely durable.

[H2] Why Choose a Residor Composite Door?

When you are looking for a new front door, you want style, security, durability and value. If you are replacing a wooden door, you are probably aware of them shrinking in the winter and swelling in the summer. With composite doors, you get the look of wood with all the benefits of modern technology.
Composite doors are a mix of materials that make them more durable and resistant to warp or rot. Composite doors are more energy-efficient than traditional wooden doors, as they have an insulation core that helps keep warm air in during the winter and cool air in during the summer. The consistency through varied temperatures also means that they fit the door frame all year round so no draughts or sticking doors.

[H2] Low Maintenance Entrance Doors

Residor Composite Doors utilise the advantages of modern, state-of-the-art technology and materials. All the style of natural wood but without the maintenance. All you need to do with a composite door is wipe it down with a damp cloth and shine your door furniture and glass with whatever you normally use.
After spending money on a door, the last thing that you want is to find that it sticks, warps, or fades in a couple of years. We care about you and your needs. We’ve been transforming homes in Cardiff for a long time and have a solid reputation for quality and service. You can see this through our reviews on Facebook, Google and AllChecked.

Your choice will mostly depend on the style of your home, your personal taste and your budget. Sometimes there are other factors that will influence your choice. Is your door more exposed to the elements? Are you positioned in a location that will require extra security? Do you need a cat flap? Do you want to match the colour of your garage? We will help you to consider all of the factors and make the right choice.
There is no pressure or obligation when you speak to us. Your home improvement purchase is important. We’re told that we have the best showroom in Cardiff and South Wales. Pop along to our Cardiff showroom, or call to arrange for us to visit you.

[H2] Side Panels for Your Front Door

If you have a space for your door that is wider or taller than needed, you have further choices to make.
Will you design the door in the middle with panels on both sides, or choose to have the door to one side and a single panel?
The space you have behind the door and which way the door opens may influence your choice.
You have the same design options for your panels as for the door so we will be able to match perfectly.

[H2] Premier Double Glazing Installer - Cardiff

[H1] uPVC Windows

The right choice of energy-efficient uPVC window is integral to the style, warmth and security of your home. uPVC has been the most popular choice since double glazing was introduced in the 1970s. Early versions were certainly much better than the metal Crittal windows they often replaced but still lacked security, colour stability and thermal efficiency.

[H3] The double glazing industry changed in 2010 with more people prioritising their homes as they had more access to information from the internet. Competition among double glazing firms meant that any company that wanted to compete had to supply windows and doors that met the widest demands for style choice, security, thermal efficiency and value.

[H2] The Benefits of Quality uPVC Windows

uPVC windows are the most popular choice for a very good reason. They suit any style of house and with a wide range of choices, can be personalised if you want your home to stand out from the crowd.
Durable. Will last for many years past its warranty date and requires virtually no maintenance.
Flexible. Any type of window style is available in uPVC with many more options for making your style uniquely your own with choices of glazing bars, opening windows, window furniture and decorated glass.
Thermally Efficient. Your windows will help to keep warmth in and cold out.
Choice of Finish. Made to measure, uPVC windows are available in a wide choice of colours and woodgrain finishes.
Value. uPVC windows are the lowest cost option of the materials available.

[H2] Alternatives to uPVC Windows

[H2]
If uPVC double glazing is not the obvious choice for your windows, which material should you choose?
Aluminium windows are just as versatile and have a very different look from uPVC or wood. They have slimmer frames and are often chosen for more modern buildings.
If your home is in a conservation area, you may be restricted to choosing wooden windows. If you prefer the wood look but want the traditional look, consider flush casement uPVC windows. Flush windows look just like wood, and even have the option for woodgrain finishes, but have the styling of traditional windows.
Regardless of which material you choose, advances in engineering over the last ten years mean that any modern choice of quality double glazing products will serve your purpose well.

[H2] Types of uPVC Double Glazing

Casement and sash windows are the most popular choice for windows in Cardiff. Walk down any street and you will probably see that most windows are white uPVC casement windows. These are characterised by side or top hinges.
You will see sliding sash uPVC windows more often on older homes. You could also choose Flush Casement Windows, Tilt and Turn or the newer Bifold windows.
Every style of window has all the benefits you would expect such as thermal efficiency, excellent acoustic properties, weather performance, pristine appearance plus customisation options to suit you.
There is a window style that will suit your whether you want to make a statement or blend with your surroundings.

[H2] uPVC Window Colours

In Cardiff and throughout South Wales, the most popular colour for windows is white. Our uPVC double glazing products are available in a variety of colours and the best colour for you very much depends on the style of your house. Naturally, coloured windows cost a little more but are well worth it as they transform a home.
We’ve never installed red windows, but all of the other colours look fabulous. Anthracite is the second most popular colour but Chartwell Green is coming up a close third lately.
At Heath Windows and Doors, we’ll take the time to help you choose the right uPVC windows.

[H2] How Secure are uPVC Windows?
The lock on our uPVC windows is built to the highest standards of security.
A locking handle is included with every uPVC window as standard. All of our uPVC window ranges feature internal beading. External beading is vulnerable to removal which means that the glass could also be removed.
Our uPVCwindows meet the UK standard for security – British Standards Institute (BSI) BS6375-3:2009

[H2] How Much do uPVC Windows Cost?
The cost of your made to measure replacement windows will depend on several factors. The quality of your new windows certainly has an effect on the price, both in the materials used, the fixings and the installation. The difficulty for you as the customer is knowing the difference. Windows look the same when they are fitted. It’s only in time that you start to see windows dropping because the hinges aren’t sturdy enough or frames bowing because the aluminium or steel inside the frame is not strong enough. The fitting can also make a difference. Your windows need to move smoothly and this relies on level fitting. Unfortunately, the industry is known for sub-contractors who value speed over quality. That’s the reason that as a premier window supplier we fully employ our installation engineers. They know that quality takes precedence and will take their time to ensure the perfect installation. In addition, all of our windows, doors and conservatories carry at least a 10-year guarantee for your peace of mind.
Sometimes the perception of cost is related to house value. Whether you live in Cardiff or anywhere else, there is no difference in cost. A single uPVC window costs the same whether you have a 2-bed bungalow in the South Wales countryside as it does for a 6-bedroom house in the middle of Cardiff.

[H2] Are Aluminium Windows better than uPVC?
We are just as much fans of uPVC windows as we are of aluminium windows. They both have their place in the market and we help our customers choose the right windows depending on the house, their personal taste and the budget. The most popular windows in the UK are uPVC casement windows. Sometimes our customers will choose the same style of windows as the neighbours to help create a cohesive look in the street. Other customers choose windows that are completely different from any other houses because they want to stand out and maybe want a more contemporary look. Get in touch and we will help you make the right choice.

[H2] Are uPVC Windows Energy Efficient?
Yes, uPVC (unplasticized polyvinyl chloride) windows are considered to be energy-efficient. The energy efficiency of uPVC windows is attributed to several factors:
Insulation: uPVC has natural insulating properties, helping to reduce heat transfer between the interior and exterior of a building. This insulation can contribute to maintaining a more consistent and comfortable indoor temperature.
Double Glazing: uPVC windows come with double or even triple glazing options. This additional layer of glass, separated by a layer of air or gas, provides enhanced insulation, reducing heat loss and improving overall energy efficiency.
Sealing: uPVC windows are known for their effective sealing properties. Properly installed uPVC windows create a tight seal, minimising drafts and preventing air leakage, which is crucial for maintaining a well-insulated environment.
Low Thermal Conductivity: uPVC has low thermal conductivity, meaning it is not a good conductor of heat. This property helps to reduce the transfer of heat through the window frame, contributing to the overall energy efficiency of the window.
Durable and Low Maintenance: uPVC is a durable material that requires minimal maintenance. The longevity and low maintenance needs of uPVC windows contribute to their sustainability and long-term energy efficiency.
While uPVC windows are generally energy-efficient, it’s essential to consider other factors such as the quality of installation, the specific design of the windows, and the overall building envelope to maximize energy savings.
When choosing windows, look for products that meet local energy efficiency standards and suppliers who are registered with Fensa or Certass to ensure the best results for your specific circumstances.
As you would expect from Cardiff’s premier supplier of double glazing products, all our uPVC windows exceed government guidelines.
