S M P6 months agoWent for the Christmas display and specifically Lemax village. ( I know it's a tad early - but hey ! ). Anyway the garden centre is not one of these big flash warehouse type places popping up everywhere but something that has obviously grown organically over the years. The buildings are an eclectic mix that have gradually been joined together , covered over etc. However does that matter ! The cafe was OK - plenty of room . The Christmas display - well that was quite comprehensive to say the least! And the lemax display - very well thought out and labelled up so you can find whatever takes your fancy. Seemed to be 25% all of the lemax - so that was a bonus.Plenty of parking. Would go again. Refreshing to visit a garden centre that is not one of the big flash chains with their sterile layout and prices to match !

Never seen so many Christmas decorations, good quality and priced as expected for a garden centre. Great Lemax display and good selection to buy. Some lovely photo opportunities for family photos.Lots of parking and very well organised.

emily6 months agoIt truely is a beautiful garden centre! We visited to see the Christmas decorations and they did not disappoint. Whilst here we are on the restaurant for lunch and a slice of cake. Staff were friendly and they cater for those with gluten allergies. With bread being gluten free. They even had gluten free cakes.

Even though they have a pet store. Reason why their not allowing pets is because owners are not picking up there mess. So staff have too

To do our bit for the environment and help take care of the planet, we are abiding by current government regulations regarding electrical waste. As a retailer of ‘Electronic Equipment’ (solar lights and christmas decorations), we are required to offer our customers a free recycling option for their electronic waste when purchasing from us.
When bringing items to us for recylcing, it must be a like-for-like product with what you’re purchasing. Just let one of our till operators aware when purchasing and we can make a log of the drop off and ensure it is disposed of correctly. What this means is, when you purchase a new solar light from us, we will accept a broken solar light as waste and ensure it is disposed of responsibly, all free of charge to you.

Can I come and see the furniture before I buy?

Absolutely — that's what we're here for. Our Sapcote showroom has over 160 pieces of garden furniture on display, and you're welcome to sit in, touch and compare everything. We're open seven days a week: Mon–Sat 9am–5pm, Sun 10am–4pm. No appointment needed.

Do you deliver, and how much does it cost?

Local delivery (within 20 miles of Sapcote) is available on most orders. We cover Leicester, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Rugby, Coventry and surrounding villages. Delivery is usually within the same week.National delivery is available through our partner site gardencentreshopping.co.uk with UK-wide shipping options.

What does the 3-year guarantee cover?

Every piece of garden furniture we sell comes with a 3-year structural guarantee. This covers the frame, weave and any manufacturing defects. Cushion covers and normal wear from outdoor use aren't included, but we're always happy to help with spare parts and advice.

Is your rattan furniture weatherproof?

Yes. All our rattan furniture uses synthetic PE rattan woven over powder-coated aluminium or steel frames. It's designed to stay outdoors year-round. We do recommend using covers in winter (we sell those too) and storing cushions indoors when not in use.

Do I need to assemble the furniture?

Most of our sets arrive fully assembled or need only minimal setup (like attaching table legs). Nothing requires power tools. If you're collecting from our showroom, we'll load it straight into your vehicle ready to use.

Can I order online if I don't live nearby?

Of course. While we love welcoming visitors to Sapcote, we know not everyone can get to Leicestershire. You can browse and order our full range online through gardencentreshopping.co.uk for delivery anywhere in the UK.

[H6] Bedding Plants

Bedding plants, also know as annuals are so called as they generally will flower once in their lifetime.
They tend to have brightly coloured flowers, and are what most people will be familiar with when you talk about garden plants.
Different bedding plants are available at different times of the year as not all can withstand the changes of warm and cold.
Generally speaking there is a summer range and a winter range.
Summer will include geranium, marigolds, million bells, osteospermum plus many more. Summer bedding will be killed by the frost. For this reason we usually get our summer bedding in in May, once the last risk of frost has passed. See the phone order brochure on our homepage for our plug plants.
Winter will include cyclamen, pansies, violas, primroses plus many more.
Bedding packs include Ageratum, antirrhinums, begonias, gazanias, geraniums, lobelia, marigolds, mimulus and petunias currently available.
Please note that these still need protecting from the frost.
A good option right now is Osteospermums. These are bushy perennials with delicate, daisy-like flowers during the spring/summer months. These will add instant colour to your garden.
We also have Pansies and violas in trays of 9, all grown at our very own Sharnford nursery!

[H6] Perennials

Perennials are the plants that grow back each year, flower, die back down to almost nothing, and then repeat the cycle the following year.
Shrubs technically are perennials too, but generally when we talk about perennials we mean non woody plants.
This a huge and varied range of plants with lots of exciting colours, sizes, and forms.
Lots of different flowering times, and best times to plant.

[H6] Shrubs

Shrubs are a great place to start when planning out a new garden.
They will tend to be the biggest plants you will buy (in the absence of trees), and so getting them first, you can then plan around them.
They can be deciduous (leaves fall of in autumn) or evergreen (doesn’t drop leaves).
The evergreen plants are ideal for a low maintenance garden as they may only require pruning every couple of years depending on varieties.

[H6] Hedging Plants

Buxus Sempervirens, or Box Hedging, is an evergreen plant ideal for creating low hedges or borders. It can easily be trimmed to maintain whatever shape you like.
Laurels also make great hedging plants, reaching a height of up to 5 metres.

[H6] Alpines

Alpines, also known as rock plants, make great use of small areas of the garden.
They are generally quite tough little plants that can survive our turbulent weather conditions, and require little maintenance.
Again there are lots of different types, shapes, and sizes once established.

Conifers have a bad reputation in the garden due to the notorious leylandii and neighbour disputes.

[H6] Herbs

A herb garden is a great addition to any garden. Is there anything better than cooking using herbs you have grown yourself? Plus, they smell delicious! Remember that basil needs to be kept above 10°C minimum so we won’t be getting that in until it warms up a bit.
We have just taken delivery of some lovely 9cm herb plants. Varieties currently available include oregano, coriander, lemon balm, parsley, dill, chervil, chives, mint, thyme, and sage.
We also have a variety of 1ltr herb plants. Varieties currently available include mint, chives, sage, thyme, rosemary, and curry leaf plant.

[H6] Fruits & Vegetables

Given the current situation, more people than ever are now turning to growing their own fruit and vegetables. Again what could be better than picking tomatoes straight off the vine for your summer salads!
Strawberries can be grown in the ground or in hanging baskets or containers. Don’t forget your netting to protect your fruits and vegetables.
Our vegetable packs include beetroot, broad beans, broccoli, brussel sprouts, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, leeks, lettuce, mangetout, onion, parsley, peas, rainbow chard, red onion, rocket, spring onion, strawberries, swede and turnip. Don’t forget your canes, bundles ranging from 2ft to 8ft.
The tomatoes we currently have available include Ailsa Craig, alicante, big boy, golden sunrise, gardeners delight (cherry), moneymaker, roma (plum), Shirley, super sweet cherry and tumbling Tom yellow (cherry – for hanging baskets). Don’t forget your Tomorite feed. Please note that these plants are not ready to be planted outside yet. As with the summer bedding these will need to be protected from the frost/cold and grown in a heated greenhouse.

We also have quite a variety of fruit bushes, including blueberries, raspberries, gooseberries, and currants.

Choosing the perfect type of gravel is essential when decorating your garden as each variety has a completely different look to it. That’s why we have all of our gravel on show as samples so you can picture what each type will look like in your garden.
In stock we have many colours, styles and sizes , the only real way to describe what we have is by visiting in store to see for yourself. We often run promotions on our gravel when ordering  in small or large quantities.
