Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
25 Impact Weight: 30 / 100
83% Reputation

The site features high substance in its historical narrative, naming owners Jason Barkhurst and Joe Schowalter and detailing the shop’s acquisition in February 2026. Headings like OUR FACILITY and OUR PROCESS lead into specific descriptions of the 1843 Main Street location and the Marine-led mission. However, some headings like Come along for the ride. Don’t get taken for one! function as pure marketing fluff without specific nouns.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

[H3] LET'S BUILD YOUR DREAM

Stop by or call us today!

[H2] MOTOR CITY CLASSICS

Situated in the hotbed of classic car restoration in Cincinnati, our shop is located in Goshen, OH. It’s been a restoration and hotrod shop for more than 25 years. First, Danny’s Hotrods, then Steve’s Classic Cars, and most recently, Welby’s Classics.
Jason Barkhurst and Joe Schowalter purchased the shop in February 2026 from Mark Splawinksi who retired after 40 years in the business. Jason has been professionally restoring cars for 20 years and Joe restored his first car in 1985 with his dad, a 1968 Mustang (almost a classic at the time).

[H2] OUR FACILITY

We are making great progress transforming our facility at 1843 Main Street to help us manage the most efficient and safest build process for your dream ride. [H2] OUR MISSION

At Motor City Classics, our mission is to revive and restore classic cars to their former glory. As two former US Marines, the owners of the shop know a little something about accomplishing the mission! We are passionate about preserving automotive history and providing top-notch restoration services.

[H2] YOUR GARAGE

[H2] Come along for the ride. Don't get taken for one!

We are currently in the process of building “Your Garage”. Your Garage is a secure customer portal that allows you to track the progress of your build. You can view your build plan, timeline, and a project gallery containing photos and short videos uploaded frequently by the Motor City Classics team. Ask us questions, track costs vs your estimate throughout the build, easily pay your invoice and share the journey with your family and friends.

[H2] TRACK YOUR BUILD!

The restoration process is a journey and we put you in the driver’s seat! We expect surprises along the way, these are old cars, but the surprises should be ours, not yours when you get your bill. Estimates are just that, estimates. For simple upgrades and jobs like wiring harnesses or brake jobs, we’re usually spot on, but estimates for full restoration jobs are very difficult. We just don’t know what we don’t know until we get into it. The car may look great on the surface, but until we start pealing back the layers, we can never be certain. We can and will make adjustments throughout the build, but those decisions are yours. Ethical transparency is what we do here at Motor City Classics.
