Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
26 Impact Weight: 30 / 100
87% Reputation

Information density is exceptionally high for a service-based site. Instead of fluff, the body text provides technical definitions, such as the exact difference between a ‘Basic Bikini’ and a ‘Hollywood’ wax, and 1cm growth requirements. Substances outweigh power words; for instance, the LVL page explains the protein pad and silicone shield process rather than just promising ‘magic results.’

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

[H2] Waxing Advice

[H5] What should I do BEFORE a wax?

Let the therapist know before your appointment if you have any allergies, health conditions, or are taking any medication, or if you are using any topical lotions which are not compatible with waxing.Make sure areas to be waxed are clean of any products.Check growth is the right length to be waxed. We recommend about 1cm for the best results. Avoid trimming hairs too short because the wax won‘t grip the hair.Don‘t use sunbeds two days before or after a waxing treatment because sunbeds can cause skin sensitivity, making your skin go red, inflamed or scabby. Just like exfoliation, waxing removes dead skin cells. Using a sunbed shortly after your treatment can cause burns and skin pigmentation. You may need to hold off more than 48 hours for waxing or tanning if you‘re still pink or feeling sensitive.Don‘t consume alcohol as it will tighten the pores, which can lead to a painful waxing experience.Be aware of your menstrual cycle as women tend to be more sensitive during this time.Lightly exfoliate. Getting rid of dead skin cells before your appointment will cut the sensitivity, keeping your skin healthier and help keep ingrown hair away.

[H2] Frequently Asked Questions

What should I wear for a bikini wax?
Avoid tight or restrictive clothing. We will provide you with disposable bikini knickers.

I‘ve booked an appointment for my first ever bikini wax. Is there anything I need to know?
First of all, relax. It can be a daunting experience, especially the first time. Feeling nervous, anxious or embarrassed is not uncommon. Just remember that your therapist is professionally trained and knows exactly what she‘s doing. She‘ll do her best to put you at ease and make the whole experience as pleasant and pain-free as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, don‘t hesitate to ask. And just remember, it‘ll be worth it!

Will waxing hurt?
It‘s really not as bad as you think. We have great quality wax and our staff are trained to wax fast and communicate with you every step of the way in how to position your body or stretch your skin to minimise pain.

How often should I get waxed?
We recommend 4-6 weeks depending on your growth.

What do I do with Ingrowns?
DON‘T pick at it, squeeze it or try to tweeze it out because you will bruise or scar yourself. Keep gently exfoliating.

How does pregnancy affect waxing treatments?
Many women worry that it is dangerous to have waxing done whilst pregnant, but this is not the case at all. Aside from the fact that it may hurt a little more than usual because your hormones are often going nuts, it is perfectly fine to continue your monthly hair maintenance. Our staff are all well trained in dealing with these sensitivities and will ensure that you are well looked after.

If I have my period, can I still get a bikini wax?
If you‘re wearing a tampon, it‘s fine. Just make sure everything is in place, and you are nice and clean.

[H2] Aftercare for Waxing

Please read the following notes carefully and follow the recommendations.Your skin will be temporarily sensitised after waxing. Following these recommendations will reduce the risk of irritation or minor infections. They should be followed for 24 hours or until the skin returns to normal.Don‘t use perfumed lotions, soaps, scrubs or make-up on the area.Avoid tight or restrictive clothing.Do not follow or proceed waxing with any other heat treatments including hot tubs.Avoid exposing the area the area to UVA light either direct sunlight or sunbeds.Avoid touching or scratching the area.If underarms have been waxed avoid anti-perspirants or deodorant.Apply only specialised after-wax lotion or antiseptic cream to the area to soothe and maintain hygiene.IF YOU ARE UNSURE OF ANYTHING, CONSULT YOUR BEAUTY THERAPIST FOR ADVICE.

[H2] Important Points to Note

If you’re looking to get your eyebrows reshaped, it’s best to let your brows grow in for around 4 weeks prior to your first treatment, so that we have plenty to work with.If your eyebrows are naturally thin and difficult to regrow, then we can still give you a highly defined look with the use of tinting. But please be aware that we don’t ‘transplant’ hairs and so your finished look will not be as thick as the models in current magazines. If you need a tint, you will need to call into the salon for a patch test prior to your first treatment. This only takes a minute so that we can apply a tiny bit of the tint to your skin (in the crook of your elbow) just to make sure you aren’t allergic to the tint that we use for this treatment. This must be done at least 48 hours before your treatment. To maintain your gorgeous new eyebrows you’ll need to repeat the treatment after 3-6 weeks once your hairs have regrown. Please don‘t exfoliate the skin or use products containing AHA‘s or fruit acids around your eyebrows for at least a week before and after treatment so as not to thin the skin and make it more sensitive to the waxing. If you have taken any acne medication or any other skin thinning medication in the past, you must wait at least 6 months before having waxing on the eyebrows.

[H2] Frequently Asked Questions

How is the treatment carried out?
Eyelashes and the surrounding area are cleaned with a protein pad which removes any traces of oil which could create a barrier.Eye pads are applied under both eyes, covering the lower lashes.A specially formulated bonder is applied on a silicone shield which is then applied on the lid close to your lash line.Your eyelashes are carefully bonded individually to the silicone shield allowing them to be lifted from the root.A solution is then applied for the required time to break the bonds in the eyelashes. The volumising lotion is applied to rebuild the bonds in the lashes.Lashes are tinted.A serum is applied to condition the lashes and the shields are then removed. The eyelashes are then combed through leaving you with fantastic lifted lashes!

Do I need a patch test?
Yes, this MUST be carried out at least 48 hours before the treatment.

Is the LVL application painful?
No. Clients often find LVL treatments extremely relaxing. You can relax and close your eyes throughout the treatment.

How long will they last?
They will last up to 6-8 weeks depending on the length and quality of your natural lashes.

Is LVL suitable for everyone?
Although LVL is great for many people, it‘s not suitable for everyone. People who have a medical contra-indication to the treatment, or who have experienced an allergic reaction to the patch test, cannot have LVL. Also, it‘s only suitable for people who have their own natural lashes.

Yes, LVL can provide lift to downward-pointing lashes.

What should I do before I attend my LVL appointment?
Do not wear any eye make-up.It takes approximately 24 hours for LVL Lashes to set in place after the treatment. This is the time needed for the bonds to fully re-set.It is best not to have the treatment carried out too late at night as when you sleep on freshly set lashes, they could move and re-set during the night.

What NOT to do in the first 24 hours:
Don‘t wet or rub your eyelashes.Don‘t apply cream to the eyes as this could get onto your lashes.Don‘t apply mascaraDon‘t use a sauna or facial steamer for 48hrs.Don‘t go swimming

[H2] Frequently Asked Questions

What is spray tanning? Why does it work?
Spray tanning involves applying an active ingredient, dihydroxyacetone, or DHA, to your skin using a specialist low pressure spraying machine.DHA is a colourless sugar, it interacts with the proteins and amino acids in the outer layer of your skin to produce a golden brown colour (it‘s a similar process to when sliced apples go brown when exposed to air). You will be sprayed with a lightly coloured solution of DHA, but the actual tan takes 6-8 hrs to develop and the colour guide will wash off when showering. Your therapist will tell you how long to wait until you can bathe or shower.

What should I do before my spray tan?
Do not use any other self tanning products 1 week before spray tan.Wax or shave at least 24 hours prior to spray tan.On the day of your spray tan DO NOT wear any make-up, deodorant, perfume, body oils or lotions as these may react with the tanning agents in the spray tan liquid.Wear loose, dark clothing and bring some sandals or flip flops.

What will happen during my treatment?
On your first tanning session, the therapist will ask you a number of questions and then fill in a consultation card. Then the therapist will give you a few minutes to get undressed into the disposable briefs provided or change into your underwear and remove jewellery.Next, a barrier cream will be applied to your hands and backs of your feet and any dry areas to prevent them from tanning too much. The spraying will take about 10 minutes plus an additional few minutes to dry. For your spraying, you will be invited to stand in a tanning cubicle, to ensure the spray goes on your skin, not into the air.The initial tan colour you‘ll see is actually the cosmetic guide colour.

What should I do immediately after my spray tan?
Keep skin completely dry, avoid water contact.Do not apply any products over the developing tan.Allow tan to develop for at least 6/8 hours (overnight if possible).Avoid other beauty/hair treatments whilst tan is developing.Avoid activities that make you perspire.
