Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
24 Impact Weight: 30 / 100
80% Reputation

The site exhibits high substance-to-fluff ratios, particularly in the FAQ section which details the exact composition of wipes (viscose and polyester blend) and explains the ‘acid mantle’ of baby skin. Specific metrics are provided, such as ‘over 11 million packs sold last year’ and the brand’s origin date of 1988. Heading fluff is minimal, though some H4 tags like ‘Insert image here for whywaterpik’ suggest technical artifacts in the CMS rather than intentional marketing fluff. Body text avoids generic ‘miracle’ claims in favor of explaining Zinc Oxide’s barrier properties.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

[H3]
[H4] Our story began in 1988 in Sydney, Australia.

The original product in the range, Curash Baby Rash Powder, was invented by a specialist doctor working at the St George Hospital. The medicated baby powder was designed to soothe, heal and help prevent rashes on the skin caused by contact with dirty nappies. The doctor’s wife and business partner developed the Curash brand name and launched the brand for sale in Woolworths.
Curash Baby Wipes were added to the range in 1993, and are now our most popular products with over 11 million packs sold last year.
Over 35 years later, the Curash team are still based in Sydney, where we design and develop our Curash products for Australian parents and their families.

[H4] New Look New Formula

[H3] Frequently Asked Questions

Here you will find commonly asked questions about the Curash range.

[H3] About Curash

[H2]
Is Curash an Australian brand?
Curash is an Australian brand by virtue of its origin and heritage. It was originally developed by a doctor in Sydney, Australia and has been caring for baby’s skin for over 35 years.
The Curash brand is owned by Church & Dwight, who have a subsidiary business in Australia and an office in Sydney where the Curash team are based.

[H3] Baby Wipes

[H2]
How can I tell where Curash Wipes are made?
All Curash Baby Wipes are labelled with the country of origin, on the back of pack.

[H2]
Do Curash Baby Wipes contain parabens?
No, Church & Dwight phased out the use of parabens in all our Curash products. Many parabens are approved for use in Australia in cosmetics and baby products within defined limits. We recognise that parents want to be informed about ingredients in products they buy, so have opted to declare that Curash does not contain parabens. We have chosen to use an alternative preservative system to ensure our wipes reach you in best condition. In addition, all the ingredients we do use are listed on the back of pack.

[H2]
Do Curash Baby Wipes contain methylisothiazolonone, also known as MI or MIT?
No, our Curash Baby Wipes do not contain MI (methylisothiazolonone) as a preservative.

[H2]
Do Curash Baby Wipes contain preservatives?
Yes, our Curash Baby Wipes contain a preservative system, to help keep the wipes fresh.

[H2]
Why do Curash Baby Wipes contain preservatives?
Curash Baby Wipes contain a preservative system, which is essential in baby wipes to prevent microbial growth, ensuring product safety and quality during the product’s shelf life . Since baby wipes are moist and often exposed to air, without preservatives, bacteria, mould, and yeast could develop, posing a risk to skin health.

[H2]
Do Curash Baby Wipes contain soap?
No, Curash Baby Wipes do not contain soap.

[H2]
Do Curash Baby Wipes contain alcohol or disinfectant?
No, Curash Baby Wipes do not contain alcohol (ethanol) or disinfectant.

[H2]
What are Curash Baby Wipe cloths made from?
Curash Baby Wipes are made from a non-woven cloth, which is thick and strong – just perfect when dealing with baby’s little (and not so little!) messes. The cloth is made from a blend of viscose fibres and polyester fibres. The viscose is made from plant derived material, and the polyester is synthetic fibre, commonly used in clothing. Polyester is a type of plastic.

[H2]
Can Curash Baby Wipes be flushed?
No, Curash Baby Wipes are not flushable. They should be disposed of in the household waste. All Curash Baby Wipes are marked with the “Do Not Flush” symbol on the front and back as a reminder.

[H2]
What is the best way to store Curash Baby Wipes?
Curash Baby Wipes should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Top tip: Store the packs on their sides to distribute moisture evenly across all the wipes inside.

[H3] Bath Time

[H2]
What should I use to bathe my baby?
Babies have very delicate skin with a natural protection that’s called the “acid mantle”. Products that contain soap can strip the acid mantle and this leads to irritation and dry skin. All Curash bath products are soap free and help maintain the moisture in the skin. Enriched with Calendula, Vitamin E and Glycerin plus natural Aloe Vera Curash Gentle Head To Toe Wash helps moisturise and gently cleanse baby’s skin.

[H2]
What should I use to wash my baby’s hair?
Curash Gentle Shampoo & Conditioner enriched with Calendula and natural Aloe Vera will help to moisturise baby’s scalp and leave hair feeling soft, shiny and tangle free. This mild formula is ideal for babies with sensitive skin. It has a gentle, soap free, no tears formula and is pH neutral to help gently cleanse and condition baby’s hair and scalp without irritating or drying. You can also try Curash Gentle Head To Toe Wash.

[H3] Nappy Rash

[H2]
What is nappy rash?
Nappy rash is a common skin disorder in infancy. It’s caused by prolonged contact with urine and faeces, along with chafing and heat. In its mildest form, the skin can be moist with a red, slightly rough and angry appearance. Nappy rash can also cause burning and itching that can result in restlessness, irritability and sleep problems. It should be addressed when first seen.

[H2]
How can I avoid nappy rash?
Fresh air and “nappy-free” time are two of the best ways of avoiding nappy rash. Curash Anti-Rash Baby Powder absorbs moisture (the leading cause of nappy rash), which helps keep baby’s bottom drier and rash free.

[H2]
How does Curash Anti-Rash Baby Powder treat and prevent nappy rash?
The Zinc Oxide in Curash Powder treats nappy rash by helping to reduce redness and soothe irritation. Zinc Oxide provides an effective barrier to wetness and irritants, the major causes of nappy rash. Curash Powder helps prevent nappy rash by absorbing moisture, keeping the baby’s skin drier and rash free.

[H2]
How do I apply Curash Anti-Rash Baby Powder?
It’s important that Curash Anti-Rash Baby Powder is first applied to your hand then smoothed onto your baby’s skin. Don’t use directly near your baby’s face or allow your little one to play with the container.

[H2]
Can I use Curash skincare products if my baby doesn’t have nappy rash?
Yes! Curash products are specially formulates for use on all skin types. Regular use will help to prevent nappy rash and maintain healthy skin.

[H2]
My baby has sensitive skin. What products are suitable for him/her?
The Curash range is pH balanced, gentle on the skin and soap free (soap can be an irritant to sensitive skin). We recommend the Anti-Rash Baby Powder to prevent nappy rash, Gentle Head To Toe Wash for cleansing, Gentle Shampoo & Conditioner for clean, soft hair and Baby Wipes for cleaning baby's bottoms, hands and faces.

[H2]
Are there any other uses for Curash Anti-Rash Baby Powder?
Yes, Curash Anti-Rash Baby Powder can also be used for heat rash and chafing.

[H2]
Can Curash Anti-Rash Baby Powder be used by adults?
Yes, adults can use Curash Anti-Rash Baby Powder, but we also have Curash Family Powder, which contains 25% zinc oxide. This is popular with sports enthusiasts, cyclists, horse riders, gardeners and the elderly.

[H2]
How can I remove nappy rash powder from my clothes or carpet?
When changing your baby, you may accidentally smear some powder onto your clothes or carpet, but don’t worry; these zinc oxide products can be removed easily. Just follow these simple instructions:

Remove as much of the powder as possible with a damp cloth.
Soak clothing in clean warm water (40°C), apply a mild washing liquid and gently rub the fabric on itself until the spot is removed, then rinse well.
Blot a small section of carpet with warm water (40°C) then apply some diluted mild washing liquid to the area. Use a clean, colourfast cloth to work up a lather in small circles. Then, blot the lather away with a clean cloth. Repeat if necessary, then leave to dry.
Always read the label and follow the directions for use.
