Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
22 Impact Weight: 30 / 100
73% Reputation

The information density is exceptionally high for a local business site, featuring technical nouns like Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate and specific nitrogen percentages in human hair. Headings such as ‘CACI – have you ever wondered about CACI’ and ‘Why your hair is brassy’ lead into substantive body text rather than generic fluff. However, the temporal anchor of May 2026 reveals that primary evidence—such as the Olaplex post from 2021—is now stale, which slightly inflates the score from a perfect baseline. Specificity is maintained through exact pricing (£25-£30) and clear service durations (60-75 minutes).

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

[H2] We recycle the unrecyclable
Hairdressing salons and barbers contribute a huge amount of foils, tint tubes, cans and bottles to landfill every year. Most of which takes 400 years to break down. We at Hair Gallery are striving towards becoming and greener salon with more sustainable practices and new eco friendly products. As proud members of Green Salon Collective we are now able to recycle all our hair, chemicals, paper, metals and plastics.
[H2] Plastics
While most councils only take 3 out of 7 plastics in the recycling bin and only if you’ve washed it first, we can recycle all our plastics with Green Salon Collective. They have turned them into hair combs and tint bowls completing the circle of use.
[H2] Hair
We recycle your hair trimmings! Wait, what? Yes we can. Your hair goes into hair mats to feed potted plants. Did you know hair is 15% nitrogen which when broken down in compost is readily available to feed plant life. You can take it home for your garden or composter. Just ask us! Human hair is also made into hair booms used to soak up oil spills in waterways and oceans. Amazing!
[H2] Metals
Foils, cans, tint tubes. All our metals are taken, no matter if its got bleach or tint all over it. Metal can be recycled infinitely yet only 47 percent gets recycled in the UK at present. Often contaminated metals such as food cans are tossed to landfill during sorting. GSC will take it all and recycle it all!
[H2] Paper
We are recycling all our paper, cardboard and disposable cups. Normally these go into the recycling bin along with other recyclables but paper is often left contaminated rendering it non recyclable. We now keep our paper waste separately with the aim of 100% being recycled. Our disposable cups go to the National Paper Cup Recycling Scheme via Green Salon Collective.
[H2] Chemicals
Left over tint, bleach, straightening and perming solutions are usually poured down the sink contaminating water ways and land. Well, no more, with thanks to GSC our chemical waste will go on to be used to create energy for the National Grid!

SUB-PAGE (http://hairgallery.co.uk/2023/02/13/why-your-hair-is-brassy-and-what-we-at-hair-gallery-can-do-about-it/) Why your hair is brassy and what we at Hair Gallery can do about it. – Hair Gallery
13th February 2023
Always an issue, brassy or yellow tones in the hair can be stubborn to remove. All hair colour, with the exception of white, whether natural or artificial, contains yellow pigment. This yellow is revealed when hair is lightened. To get the lightest blonde possible and keep the hair in good condition a very small amount of yellow pigment must remain in the hair. Hair which is lifted further than this will break with any further heat from the hairdryer or hot tools and brushing. Lightening hair colour is a very specialist job where the colourist must take into account many factors such as the current colour of the hair, the condition, the type of lightener that needs to be used, the method of lightening and have the conviction, courage and expertise to get the hair to that ‘sweet spot’ between too warm and breakage.
At Hair Gallery we are bleach and balayage experts. Your hairs integrity is our main priority. Unwanted yellow tones in the hair can be toned out using our bespoke toner formulations. Toners are always semi permanent , fading with every wash and therefore we recommend they be applied every month to keep your colour fresh.
Purple shampoos can be used. Our favourites are Olaplex and L’oreal. However, purple shampoos come with varying amounts or pigment, so choosing one from the supermarket can be hit and miss. The purple colour molecules will ‘cover’ the yellow colour molecules until they are washed out. Purple shampoos should only be used when needed and not every wash. Overuse not only can dry the hair out but can dull the hair colour making it look very flat and lifeless.
Colour masks are a great way of gently toning at home without drying the hair out. We use and sell Wella colour masks which leave the hair in amazing condition and smell divine. They have two great ashy tones and a further eight colourful tones to choose from.
If you are reading this and feel your hair is always too yellow, even after a visit to the salon, then make an appointment to speak with one of our team. We can assess your hair, take strand tests if necessary and discuss with you your dream hair. Then we will do our utmost to get you there. Your happiness is our priority.
We hope to see you in our salon soon!
Thanks for reading
Catherine x

SUB-PAGE (http://hairgallery.co.uk/2021/07/27/olaplex-rebuilding-your-hair/) Olaplex – Rebuilding your hair. – Hair Gallery
27th July 2021
What is Olaplex?
You may have heard of this seemingly magical hair product, but what exactly is it? Olaplex is a patented product produced by two scientists in their Californian garage in 2014. Asked by their hairdresser friend to find something that would mitigate the damaged caused to hair during chemical services they came up with a chemical compound called Bis-Aminopropyl Diglycol Dimaleate. This compound works on a molecular level fixing bonds broken by colouring, bleaching, perming, straightening and even blowdrying and brushing the hair. These bonds are like the rungs of a ladder which are literally fixed in place by Olaplex to give damaged hair back its strength and versatility.
At the time of writing Olaplex have 8 products simply called by their numbers 1 – 8. No. 1 and No. 2 are for professional use in salons. These products have the most concentration of its active ingredient and is used as a stand alone treatment, cutting lotion or mixed into tints, bleaches and perms.
Our stand alone treatment costs £30 (factor in a blowdry or other services when booking) and is the highest concentration of active ingredient you will get on your hair at any time. This treatment is designed to reconstruct all broken bonds in your hair. Along with our talked about, amazing head and neck massage this treatment take 60 – 75 minutes with a blowdry. Call now – 01892 661067 – to book yourself in and why not give yourself the treat of a mini manicure – file and paint while your treatment is working? The ultimate indulgence!
Nos 3 -8 are their homecare range which include:
No. 3 Hair Protector – similar to the, professional use only, no.2, but less concentrated, No.3 is a pre shampoo treatment which great to use at home as a weekly or fortnightly hair fixer. I apply it to my hair in the evening, let it dry in and wash it out the following morning. Since I have been using this product my fine, curly and coloured hair tangles far less than it ever did! We advise this product particularly for bleached and very damaged hair .
Nos. 4 and 5 Shampoo and Conditioner – Luxurious and velvety the shampoo contains a smaller amount of active ingredient than No.3 so is great to keep on top of damaged hair. This shampoo gives a very rich lather so a little goes a very long way. We advise to add more water rather than more shampoo to get a rich lather. The conditioner is light and leaves the hair feeling glossy and tangle free.
No. 6 Bond Smoother – Containing almond and coconut oil with active ingredient this blowdry-in bond smoother not only smells divine but gives the most incredible shine and smooths even the craziest of hair surprisingly well! A small pea size is all you need applied to damp hair and blowdried in. This product lasts for ages!
No.7 Bonding Oil – This oil will protect hair against direct heat of up to 450 degrees. Many hot irons, wands and brushes reach very high heats causing irreparable damage to hair. This oil is very light and literally disappears into dry hair! We use this bonding oil on its own or a couple of drops mixed in with our No. 6 bond smoother for great results!
No.8 Bond Intense Moisture Mask – This mask is the newest product from Olaplex and its amazing! It comes in a handy pump bottle dispensing the exact amount you need for your hair which is very little!! Only two or three pumps of this wonderfully moisturizing treatment will leave your hair feeling soft and rejuvenated. When I use this product I literally can’t stop touching my hair because it feels so soft! Recommended as a once a week deep treatment for damaged and dry hair.
Every Olaplex product has a price tag or £28 which seems like a lot however I’ve had my shampoo and conditioner for well over 6 months. I shampoo my hair three to four times a week and alternate with another shampoo and conditioner – I like to mix things up. As with all Salon specific professional products they are very concentrated and a little goes a long, long way! We do stock Olaplex trial packs which contain no.s 3,4,5 and 6 in handy travel size packs – great for trips away! These retail at £28 per pack of four products and are a great present.
We do run a permanent bulk buy offer on our Olaplex range. Buy three Olaplex products or more in our salon and get each product for £25.
We look forward to serving you in our salon soon
