Instructions
How to Apply Loose Eye Dust Pigment
Apply an eyeshadow primer first. This is essential with loose pigment — primer gives the fine powder something to grip and prevents fallout onto the cheeks during the day. Without primer, pigment tends to crease and migrate within a few hours.
Tap fallout before you start. With any loose pigment, do your eye look before your base makeup, or hold a piece of card under your eye while applying to catch any falling particles before they land on your foundation.
Pick up pigment with a flat, dense brush. Dip the brush, tap off the excess, then press (don't sweep) the pigment onto the lid. Pressing deposits colour more densely and reduces fallout compared to sweeping strokes.
Build in thin layers. One press gives a sheer wash of neon; two or three builds to full opacity. The intensity is very controllable — start lighter than you think you need and add more.
For a wet, foil-like finish: Mix a small amount of pigment with the Stargazer Mixing Medium or a drop of water on the back of your hand, then apply. This creates a metallic, laser-sharp colour that reads almost like neon liquid on the lid.
Maximising the UV Glow
For the strongest UV glow effect, apply the pigment over a white or pale base. The UV-reactive pigments need a light background to activate fully — applying neon orange over dark eyeshadow dampens the glow considerably. A white eye primer or a light cream eyeshadow underneath lets the full UV fluorescence come through. The more layers of pigment you build, the more intensely it glows under blacklight.
Tips to use
What Is Eye Dust Pigment?
Eye dust pigment is a loose, ultra-fine powder that delivers more intense colour payoff than pressed eyeshadow. Because the pigment particles aren't compressed into a pan or bound with fillers, the colour reads more vividly on the lid — one light tap of pigment can achieve what would take three or four passes with a regular eyeshadow. The trade-off is that loose pigment requires a slightly different application technique, but once you know how, it's faster and more impactful than any pressed shadow.
The neon formulation means the pigments also react under UV/blacklight — in normal light they read as vivid, saturated neon; under a UV lamp or blacklight at a festival or club they glow intensely. Most eyeshadows don't glow at all. These do.
Looks to Create with Neon Eye Dust
Festival bold: Use neon pink or orange across the entire lid and blend into the crease for a wash of colour that reads from distance and glows under UV. Add neon liner in a contrasting colour (neon blue over pink, neon yellow over green) for a graphic festival eye.
Inner corner highlight: A small dab of neon yellow or neon white pigment pressed into the inner corner of the eye creates one of the most striking highlight effects available — far more impactful than any highlighter product.
Graphic liner accent: Mix pigment wet and use a fine liner brush to draw graphic shapes, geometric lines, or under-eye details. The wet formula dries quickly and holds its shape.
How to Remove Eye Dust Pigment
Loose pigment removes easily with an oil-based makeup remover or micellar water on a cotton pad. Press the pad gently over the eye and hold for 10 seconds before wiping — this dissolves the pigment particles rather than smearing them. Because the formula is loose powder rather than a cream or liquid, it lifts cleanly without heavy rubbing. Always remove from the outer corner inward to prevent spreading colour toward the nose.

Start on bare lips (without moisturiser or lip balm). Apply the first layer using light strokes, working from the centre outward. Allow 30 seconds to set before adding a second layer if you want deeper colour.

Unlike a traditional lipstick — which sits on top of your lips in a waxy or creamy layer — a lip stain soaks into the surface of the skin, leaving colour that doesn't budge when you eat, drink, or kiss. Lip Stain Pen vs. Lipstick: What's the Difference?
Lipstick sits on top of your lips in a creamy or matte layer. It can fade, transfer, and leave a ring around the edges after eating. Most need reapplying every 2–4 hours.

Does Lip Stain Dry Out Your Lips?
