Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

The site exhibits high information density despite some marketing adjectives like ‘top-notch’. Substance is found in the ‘After Care’ section, which lists specific commercial soap brands like Irish Spring and Ivory to avoid, and the ‘Your Appointment’ section which specifies ‘cash only’ and ‘one person maximum’. The biography contains historical anchors like ‘tattooing since 1991’ and a 22-year tenure in Barcelona. This level of operational detail is the antithesis of generic industry fluff.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

[H3] ABOUT
[H6] Voodoo has been tattooing since 1991 and has worked all over Europe as a guest artist. For the last 22 years he has been the owner/operator of Barcelona’s largest and best known tattoo shop “Voodoo Tattoo”.
[H6] Voodoo has returned to the Duncan area, where he hopes to offer polite and personalized service to his clients as well as top-notch tattoos for those who want the best work possible. His more than twenty five years of experience in all styles of tattooing enable him to offer advice and guidance to his clients and achieve results which set his work apart from the rest.
Voodoo does have a somewhat unique outlook on tattoos and believes that the most important element of a tattoo is esthetics. If it is not beautiful or does not make an impact on the person who is viewing it, then it is not a Voodoo Tattoo! For this reason he tends to be a little bit selective in which projects he undertakes and he believes that talking to the client and explaining the different options available, as well as warning the client of possible mistakes is the key to getting a good result. You can be sure that if Voodoo does your tattoo you will have a piece of art which will last a lifetime and continue to bring you pleasure long after everyone else’s “meaningful” tattoos have faded into insignificance.
[H6] Please feel free to contact him about your ideas knowing that he will always be polite and respectful even if he has to refuse a job, and he may even be able to offer you a more beautiful way to achieve the result you want.

[H3] YOUR APPOINTMENT:
Almost everyone is worried about the pain they are going to suffer while getting their tattoo. This is perfectly normal, although it almost always hurts much less than one is expecting. Many people ask if there are any kind of anesthetics they could use to dull the pain, and there are, but their effectiveness is questionable. The best thing for reducing the suffering is relaxation. Anything you can do or take (with a doctors permission) to make you more physically relaxed will make the process much less painful for you (except alcohol which thins the blood).
A few more things to keep in mind for the big day:
Try to be on time. You don’t want to be tattooed by an angry artist.
Sleep well the night before and have a good meal before coming.
If you smoke weed or hash, do NOT smoke on the day of the tattoo. It will make you much more sensitive and it will hurt more.
You can bring someone with you but please, one person maximum.
They can be by your side with you while you are being tattooed.
Do not shave the area to be tattooed. Voodoo prefers to do it before beginning.
If it is going to be a long session, bring something sweet to snack on. It will help keep your energy level up.
Try to buy the Saran Wrap and tape for the aftercare before you come. Voodoo does not sell these things.
Voodoo works better and faster when he can be quiet and concentrate so feel free to bring a tablet or phone and some earphones. There is WiFi in the shop.
Please remember, Voodoo accepts cash only.
[H3] AFTER CARE:
After one or two hours wash the tattoo with soap and water, dry it carefully and apply Bepanthen cream generously over the tattoo and wrap with cling film (Saran Wrap). It is important that you use a soap which can cut through the grease and oil on your skin, so we recommend using a cheap bar soap. Dove does not work well. Brands that work include Irish spring, ivory, glycerin soaps, hotel soaps, basically the dryer the soap leaves your skin, the better (not shower gel or liquid soaps). PH neutral soaps, antiseptic soaps and soaps with Aloe Vera are not recommended. Just a good strong basic bar soap. If you got your tattoo in the morning, repeat this process before going to bed. If you got it in the afternoon it is not necessary.
Wash the tattoo twice a day, in the morning and in the evening for the next six days. Apply the cream after every washing, and then cover it with clean cling film and use tape to hold it in place. It is very important that you keep it covered with plastic after every application of cream and for 24 hours a day. No peeking!
During these six days avoid: saunas, Jacuzzis, sea water, swimming pools, and intense physical exercise. Sweating beneath the plastic can cause serious irritation to the tattoo and cause healing problems.
After six days, stop putting on cream and plastic wrap; your tattoo is healed. If you find the skin very dry when stopping the aftercare you can apply any cream you like to alleviate this, although we recommend using the Bepanthen, just not as much, and rubbed-in until it absorbs. It works really well.
It is a good idea to avoid getting strong sun on the tattoo for the next two or three months as this slows the regeneration of the skin and damages the lighter colors. It is possible to minimize these harmful effects by using a very strong sun cream/block: Factor 50 or more when out in the sun.
Please bear in mind that these instructions are based on over twenty five years of experience. Do not follow advice from ‘expert’ friends when caring for your tattoo. This advice usually leads to serious problems. Even though these directions may be different from what other artists recommend, follow Voodoo’s instructions to the letter and you will see what perfect, fast healing looks like. Voodoo is not responsible for any damage to the tattoo due to not following these instructions. Any damage due to scabbing will result in a repair charge (it cannot scab if you follow the instructions).
