[H2] Are consultations free?

Yes, consultations are free of charge but still need to be booked in (please call the salon on 07473801677). It's highly advisable that you get one if you're not sure what type of service you require or if you have more complex queries about your hair.

[H2] Do I need a patch test?

If you're a new customer to the salon, it's highly recommended that you get a patch test done prior to any hair colouring procedure (ideally 24-48 hours before the appointment).Should you wish to not get a patch test done, you will have to sign a waiver form to disclose that you're happy to move forward with the procedure at your own risk.

[H2] Do you offer colour corrections?

Yes, we only offer colour corrections upon consultation. This is because the hair stylist will need to analyse and discuss the possible challenges and outcomes of the hair depending on how complex its state is. Sometimes, a few colour correction appointments may need to be scheduled as it's not always possible to fully correct the hair in one go.

[H2] How often should I maintain my bleached/coloured roots?

The recommended time frame is generally 6 weeks. Extra charges may apply if roots are left untreated for a longer period of time due to the larger amount of regrowth that will need to be bleached/coloured.

[H2] I had highlights done 6 (or less) months ago. Can I go for a balayage now?

You need at least 12 inches of regrowth for a balayage (that is around 2 years).A colour correction will be needed if you want to switch to a balayage after having had your hair highlighted a few months before.In this case, you can call the salon to arrange a consultation for a colour correction.

What is the difference between classic highlights and babylights?
Classic highlights provide a more dimensional, contrasted look as bigger sections of the hair are highlighted. On the other hand, babylights consist of many finely woven “micro” highlights that emulate a highly subtle, natural sun-kissed effect (think of children’s naturally highlighted hair!)
What is the difference between balayage and ombre?
Both techniques produce a gradient effect, but differ in the way they’re applied and the final looks they achieve. With balayage, colour/lightener is painted freely onto the hair to create an organic, sun-kissed look where the highlights blend in seamlessly. As ombre is a more structured technique where colour is placed horizontally across the hair, the dark to light gradient effect is more noticeable and pronounced.
Balayage can take between 1-4 hours depending on the hair’s length, density, texture etc. and even longer if more work is required. The same applies to ombre.
How often should highlights get touched up?
Generally, hair highlighting services should be done every 12-16 weeks depending on the individual rate of hair growth and level of contrast between the highlights and natural colour. If one’s hair grows quicker and the contrast becomes visible earlier on, 6-12 weeks is the ideal time frame for maintenance.
