Why rent?

Buying everything you need for a baby is expensive, a drain on the planet's resources, and, let's be honest, a faff. On top of that, babies grow out of things so quickly (if they ever even liked it in the first place) that it just doesn't make sense to buy.Save money: Rent premium brands for a fraction of the price only when you need them. On average our customers will rent £3400 worth of short-term use equipment for just £66 a month in the first year (that's over 75% savings ??). Reduce waste: The UK baby equipment market has a carbon footprint of approximately 280,000kg CO2e annually. The carbon footprint of an average pram is approximately 450 kg CO2e. Baboodle offers an alternative at the point of purchase, increasing the life cycle of a product and reducing its impact on the environment. Now the sustainable choice is the obvious choice. Make space: No more to-be-sold pile cluttering up every spare nook and cranny. Reclaim your space and make time for things that are more important, like quality time with your children, or your bed.

Delivery & collection

Delivery: Select your preferred delivery date on the checkout page. We will deliver your products on this date, and your rental will start from then. You will pay for your first period up-front, but any subsequent payments will be exactly one month from delivery. Shipping costs £7.95 within the UK. You can also collect from our Central London warehouse.Returns: When you are ready to return your item, just hit ‘cancel’ in your account or email us at returns@baboodle.co.uk. You will be sent a link to create your FREE returns label and book in your return. We pause payments for 5 days whilst we await your items. Once the items arrive back with us your rental will be ended and all payments will be stopped.

Subscription

On your chosen day, your first month's payment will be taken and your items delivered straight to your door. After this, a monthly payment will be taken until you return your item.When you're ready to end your subscription, log your return on our Returns Portal. We'll send you a QR code or a printable label for your free return. Once it's arrived with us we'll stop your payments and give the item a thorough clean ready for its next home.

Damage, wear & repair

Baboodle cover general wear and tear (scratches and small stains). They are to be expected. If the item is damaged beyond repair, lost, or stolen, we may charge you for the total estimated Replacement Value of the item. If the item is repairable, but the repair is expected to cost over £20, we may charge you for the cost of repair. Thankfully, our damage rate is incredibly low. We only rent items that do not damage easily. Of our 10,000+ rentals last year, we had to charge for fewer than 5.

Exchanging products

We built Baboodle out of the frustration of having to buy new items every time our needs changed, or we realised we didn’t like a product. Exchanges on Baboodle are really simple. Just let us know at hello@baboodle.co.uk that you would like to try a different item. We will charge the £7.95 shipping fee for the new item and change the product in your account as soon as we receive your old item back.

Is it safe to rent baby equipment?

Absolutely! Every piece of equipment Baboodle sends out undergoes a rigorous quality check and thorough cleaning process. Each item is carefully inspected for visible damage, including tears or cracks. Functional components such as brakes, wheels and reclining systems are tested to ensure they operate smoothly. We use baby-friendly sanitising spray from Dew to thoroughly clean and sterilise every item.

My friend recommended the Bugaboo stardust travel cot but it is £200 to buy new and we only needed it for a weekend so I looked into renting and found this website. If you are keeping your item longer than 1 month, your second payment will be taken exactly 1 month after delivery. Shipping costs £7.95 within the UK.Returns: When you are ready to return your item, just hit ‘cancel’ in your account or email us at returns@baboodle.co.uk. You will be sent a link to create your FREE returns label and book in your return. We pause payments for 5 days whilst we await your items. When should you order?

We recommend ordering in advance whenever possible, as stock is often limited. If you're short on time, we'll do our best to deliver your order as quickly as possible. For peace of mind, aim to have your travel equipment delivered 2–3 working days before your departure.

You will be sent a link to create your FREE returns label and book in your return. We pause payments for 5 days whilst we await your items. Once the items arrive back with us your rental will be ended and all payments will be stopped.

Damage, wear and repair

Baboodle cover general wear and tear (scratches and small stains). They are to be expected. If the item is damaged beyond repair, lost, or stolen, we may charge you for the total estimated Replacement Value of the item. If the item is repairable, but the repair is expected to cost over £20, we may charge you for the cost of repair. Thankfully, our damage rate is incredibly low. We only rent items that do not damage easily. Of our 10,000+ rentals last year, we had to charge for fewer than 5.

Is it safe to rent a carrier?

Absolutely! Every piece of equipment Baboodle sends out undergoes a rigorous quality check and thorough cleaning process. Each item is carefully inspected for visible damage, including tears or cracks. Functional components such as brakes, wheels and reclining systems are tested to ensure they operate smoothly. We use baby-friendly sanitising spray from Dew to thoroughly clean and sterilise every item.

Carrier rental subscription

On your chosen day, your first month's payment will be taken and your items delivered straight to your door. After this, a monthly payment will be taken until you return your item.When you're ready to end your subscription, log your return on our Returns Portal. We'll send you a QR code or a printable label for your free return. Once it's arrived with us we'll stop your payments and give the item a thorough clean ready for its next home.
