These terms and conditions, to be read in conjunction with our Delivery & Returns Policy, and also our Privacy Policy and apply to the use of this website, and by using this website or placing an order you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below. [H3] *First order Discounts
Occasionally we offer 10% off your first order for certain brands. This is not applicable to sale items and may exclude certain brands, if the code does not work the brand/item is excluded. At other times, we will offer a £25 store voucher for orders over £250. Please note, the total amount must be equal to or over £250 to qualify for this voucher. This does not include the standard delivery charge.
[H3]  *Furniture and Self-Assembly Orders
All of our furniture, including garden structures, come flat packed unless stated otherwise. We take every effort to ensure the furniture arrives safely, though as there are wooden components parts can occasionally be damaged in transit. Therefore, please ensure that all furniture items are checked upon receipt, and any defects notified to us within 48 hours of receipt. Please also ensure that you have the correct items as ordered. If a picking error has occured and you are sent incorrect items i.e. colour/style we will not be able to accept these back if they have been assembled. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept any courier damage claims that have not been notified to us within 48 hours of receipt. We would also ask that all panels are inspected prior to assembly as we cannot be held responsible for the cost, time or effort associated with dismantling items should a defect be identified after assembly. Should you employ a third party to assemble any item, we cannot be held responsible for the cost, time or effort associated. If we are notified of damaged parts after a third party has assembled the furniture, please note that any replacement parts would be charegeable as this would need to be claimed from the third party that assembled the furniture. Any parts identified as being damaged upon receipt will be replaced free of charge; please note that only the part(s) will be replaced, not the complete item. Unfortunately we cannot offer compensation should you choose to assemble an item with damaged parts.
Please note, we are also unable to deliver large items such as furniture outside of the UK Mainland and to certain Scottish Highlands and other Scottish postcodes, if in doubt please contact us before attempting to place an order.
Please note that we cannot be held not responsible for the disposal of packaging. Some larger furniture orders may be delivered on pallets. If this is the case, we are not responsible for the disposal of this pallet. If replacement parts are required, we cannot be held responsible for the disposal of damaged parts nor any extra packaging.
Your statutory rights are not affected.
[H3] *Special Offers
If you take advantage of one of our money off your next order offers, there is no minimum spend in relation.  However, if you use the discount code on your next order and then cancel your original qualifying purchase we will refund your money for your original purchase minus the offer amount you received in your subsequent order.
If you take advantage of a money off discount code, this is only applicable at time of purchase and only one discount code can be used for each purchase. In addition, any special promotional offers made available on this website cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotional or voucher-based discounts.
[H3] *Offer/Discount Codes
From time to time either general or brand/item specific offer codes will be available. These codes will not necessarily apply to all items on the website or within a specific brand and we reserve the right to exclude specific items or brands from these offers. Also they cannot be used with any other promotion code. Offer codes cannot be applied retrospectively if not applied at the time of the purchase. We can only be responsible for honouring codes shown directly on the website Babyandchildstore.com, unfortunately we cannot guarantee to honour codes shown on third party sites including google as we don’t have full control over these and may be shown in error. If a code from a third party site does not work then we would be unable to honour it or refund the amount if you choose to go ahead with the purchase.
[H3] Store Credit Terms
(a) Store Credit can be redeemed for goods and/or services at babyandchildstore.com
(b) Store Credit is valid for 12 months from the date it is issued. Any unused Store Credit will not be redeemable after 12 months. The validity date cannot be extended.
(c) Once Store Credit has been issued, the value cannot be changed to a cash refund.
(d) Store Credit does not accrue interest.
(e) Store Credit can only be used on orders associated with your original account or email address. Store credit cannot be transferred to another person or account.
[H3] *Free Gift
Free gifts are available to choose at the basket stage, please ensure that you visit the basket to select your free gift at the time or ordering. The free gift is only available on the price of the items and does not include shipping. Therefore if your item is £199.99 and you pay extra shipping the free gift will not be available to you. If you take advantage of our free gift offer, please note if you wish to return any part of this order, the free gift must also be returned as new, unused and in it’s original condition. Please note only one gift can be selected and this may arrive seperately to the rest of the order. The gift must be selected on the basket page, otherwise there will be a delivery charge for the free gift. If the gift selected is not available we will substitute this for the next best alternative product.
If you wish to use an offer provided as part of a Product Enquiry only one of the offers sent can be claimed per order.

Our competitions are open to UK residents aged 18 or over. Entries are accepted from individuals only. To enter our draws, follow the directions provided on the competition post. This will include providing some of your personal details. We collect details of those who enter our competitions and hold the data in accordance with our privacy policy. No purchase is necessary. Entries are accepted via our social media pages (Instagram and Facebook) only.
Winners will be picked in line with the published criteria and we will inform the winner within a reasonable period. We reserve the right to draw a new winner if the original winner picked does not respond to our contact within 7 days. The original winner then loses all rights to the prize.
The winning entry will be picked at our sole discretion or by random draw as indicated in the published criteria. The winner will receive the product as advertised and no cash alternative is available. In the event of a prize being unavailable for any reason, we reserve the right to substitute a similar product of equal or greater value. We are not responsible for any prize that may be lost, stolen, forged, damaged or tampered with in any way to the winner.
We accept no liability for damage, loss, injury (other than liability for personal injury or death as a result of our negligence) or disappointment of any kind suffered by any entrant. It is your responsibility prior to entering the competition that the product offered as prize is suitable for your use with your child.
The courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction of all disputes in entering this competition provided that the parties shall make at least one initial good faith attempt at mediation (costs shared) in attempting to resolve any dispute. The terms shall be governed under English law.
By entering the competition, you are agreeing that we may contact you regarding other products and promotions we offer.
We reserve the right to withdraw the competition at any time and to amend these competition terms at any time.
[H3] Descriptions and Prices of Products
We have taken every care to describe and show products as accurately as possible. Despite this, products may vary from their descriptions. If there is anything that you do not understand, or if you wish to obtain further information, please contact hello@babyandchildstore.com.  Images and colours can vary from time to time and we try and ensure that the correct images are always shown, however if the manufacturer makes slight changes from time to time and the product is slightly different from that shown we cannot be held responsible.
Manufacturers do from time to time update/upgrade items and their appearance can change slightly. Unless the item is materially different from that pictured or described we are not able to compensate for any changes.
Compatibility between different items is a guideline but cannot be guaranteed as manufacturers may change their specifications from time to time.
If, by mistake, we have under-priced a product, we will not be liable to supply that product to you at the stated price, provided that we notify you before we despatch the product to you. In those circumstances, we reserve the right to cancel your order. In the event we cancel your order, we will give you a full refund on any amount already paid for that product in accordance with our return and refund policy.
All prices are expressed inclusive of any VAT payable unless otherwise stated.
[H3] Specifications, Colours, Weights and Sizes
We reserve the right to alter specifications without prior notice. All sizes and weights are given as a guide only and are approximate. Representations of colour are approximate due to the limitations of photographic and calibrations of different output devices.
A name given to a product is not necessarily representative of the colour. If you have a specific requirement or are unsure as to the exact colour, please e-mail us for assistance before purchasing.
Wood is a natural product and therefore will carry minor imperfections and characteristics including grain, colour variation and knots, most nursery furniture is also soft wood and prone to small knocks and indentations. These characteristics are not classed as manufacturing defects. Manufacturers normally use different grades of wood for items such as cots or cot beds and therefore the finish can appear differently.
Accessories supplied to co-ordinate with the main product may differ in shade; this is normally caused by the manufacturing process and is not a fault.
Most car seats fit most cars however some manufacturers also provide suitability checks on their own websites. Where possible, please use the appropriate website to check car seat compatibility with your car as we are unable to guarantee the compatibility of any car seat in any vehicle.
Sizes of strollers are generally described in two ways: folded and unfolded. Folded being the smallest possible size that the item can be folded down to removing any easily removable parts. Unfolded, or open, providing the dimensions of the unfolded stroller with all essential parts such as wheel, handlebar etc. attached. Please enquire with our customer service for further information.
[H3] Product Guarantee
Product guarantees are free of charge and are provided in addition to and having no affect on your statutory rights. Product guarantees vary from product to product and are defined by the manufacturer. In relation to product guarantees, please note the following terms and conditions:
The guarantee is available for all products purchased from com
The guarantee is available to the original purchaser only when accompanied with the original receipt
This guarantee is non-transferable
The guarantee applies to the product only and does not cover any consequential losses i.e. time or other products
The guarantee applies to material and manufacturing defects only under normal domestic use in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.
The guarantee does not cover faults caused by factors outside the manufacturers control, including failure to follow the user guide and maintenance instructions, normal wear and tear, inappropriate use such as a single buggy being used for two children or the use of any make of toddler board, accidental wilful and or misuse of the product, inappropriate storage methods and or inappropriate cleaning, modification, alteration, transformation of the product.
The guarantee does not cover parts subject to normal wear and tear, foam handles, rubber elements of wheels, pneumatic tyres, signs of fabric wear.
The guarantee does not cover pushchair accessories including bottle bags, cosy toes, foot muffs, pushchair liners, changing bags, rain covers, canopies, mosquito nets, parasols, head huggers, and neck supports.
Please note that Baby and Child cannot be held responsible for damage to items that may have occurred during transit from the delivery address to a third party address. We ask all customers by email to check items on receipt to ensure that any damage that may have occurred prior to dispatch or during transit is identified before the items are moved to another location.
Moving parts should be cleaned and maintained regularly. Fabric accessories may fade at different rates especially when not being used together
If a product is found to be defective within the definition detailed above, Baby and Child Store shall, at its sole discretion, repair the product OR provide new goods to repair the fault OR replace the product with a like-for-like product. This shall be the sole obligation of Baby and Child Store. Any repair work undertaken will be approved by Baby and Child Store. Where repair work is necessary, it is your responsibility to return the item to us so the item can be sent to the manufacturer unless stated otherwise.
If a claim is made under this guarantee and the defect is not due to faulty materials or a manufacturing defect, Baby and Child Store reserves the right to charge the customer a £29.25 fee to cover the engineers time/shipping costs/replacement parts.
For items sent to non-UK mainland addresses, if there is a requirement to return items for repair or send out replacement parts under the manufacturer’s warranty, any shipping costs for sending items, collection and return of the product will be the responsibility of the customer.
