Solid Object (book)

[H2] How to measure your boot size.

1. Place a blank sheet of paper on the floor, with one edge butted up against a wall or solid object.

2. Stand on the sheet of your paper with heel butted up against the wall.
3. Use a solid object (book), align with your foot and mark the distance. Repeat with your other foot.

4. Measure from the edge of the paper to the furthest pencil line in millimetres or inches.

5. Compare the measurement against the table above to establish the approximate shoe size.

[H2] How should my new boots fit and feel like?

Step 1:
Put on your boots and tighten them as you normally would. It’s normal that it’s hard to put the boots on the first few times. This will get easier as the boots break in.
Step 2:
Stand up with your legs straight. Your toes should be touching the front of the boots.
Step 3:
Bend your knees. Your heels should slide back and your toes should pull away from the front slightly. This indicates a proper fit.
Step 4:
If the boots still feel too tight and you can’t move your toes with your knees bent, then you may want to try a half a size bigger.

At the heart of every Bataleon is a combination of 3BT™ and positive camber. It’s an innovative solution to the profile puzzle that minimizes the potential for edge-catch without sacrificing ollie power or carving performance. From this starting point, we fine-tune each element according to the boards desired riding style.

3D shaping

SideKick™ builds on the concept of Triple Base by increasing the sidebase uplift just outside the widest points of the nose and tail. The tips become more like a hull, boosting float in deep snow and slicing through crud. It also helps the board to roll quickly and evenly from edge to edge.

Construction

Supertubes™ are hollow carbon cylinders that are inserted directly into the core. They reinforce the camber, reduce weight and greatly increase pop. By varying their location we can fine-tune the board’s performance further.

Backseat inserts are a set of extra inserts 4cm on the front insert pack and 2cm on the rear insert pack. This allows you to set your bindings all the way back, so you can keep floating on those deep pow days. By shifting your weight back on the board the nose stays up and the pressure on your back leg is reduced.

Welcome to the Slush Cup I picked up the 154 Hamster Edition this Spring to close out the slush season at Whistler. I sized down a bit from my typical 156 directional which has proven to be quite nimble and playful. This is the first board I've had with sidekick whiched seemed a little skitz at first [particularly doing little knuckle butters because the edge is a number of degrees off what you might be used to], but after a full day stretching it's legs, the Whatever has proven to be a highly rippable board, especially on groomers. K K.F. Truly Obsessed I absolutely love the Whatever 148. As an intermediate snowboarder looking to get more comfortable riding at higher speeds, the Whatever gave me a ton of confidence right away. It feels super stable without being stiff or intimidating, and the edge catch reduction is genuinely noticeable. The 3BT shape made the board feel way more forgiving and less catchy, especially compared to other boards I’ve ridden.
It still carves really well and feels playful enough to have fun all over the mountain, but what stood out most to me was how smooth and controlled it felt when picking up speed. Honestly helped me progress a lot and made riding more enjoyable overall. Highly recommend for anyone who wants an all-around board that’s forgiving but still capable as you improve.

M Milo Okulicz Kozaryn Fantastic warranty!!! Really impressed with this board. It feels stable, smooth and very easy to control, even at higher speeds. At the same time it’s playful and forgiving, which makes riding just more fun and helps a lot with progression. From the first run it felt natural and confidence-inspiring.
It also handles different conditions really well, whether you’re cruising, carving or just having fun on the mountain. Overall, a great balance between performance and comfort.
Big plus for me is also Bataleon’s warranty and customer support. It’s reassuring to know the brand stands behind their products and actually takes care of their customers.
Very happy with this purchase – definitely recommend! B Brodie Wright First Board I bought this board as my first owned board for the 2025-26 season and have loved it all season, it has treated me very well, has great pop, and is very forgiving on hard landings, the only recommendation i have is that you get the bottom of the board reshaped when you buy it because it has raised rails which makes it much harder to swap from one edge to the other and/or get off the edge youre on, ive yet to do it but have been told that that may be the reason that im having issues with carving. N No Thanks Whatever is wish washy like it’s name Also tried to return after purchasing by accident and they sent it anyway. I rode it assuming it would be a chill competent board and it sucked. Technology

At the heart of every Bataleon is a combination of 3BT™ and positive camber. It’s an innovative solution to the profile puzzle that minimizes the potential for edge-catch without sacrificing ollie power or carving performance. From this starting point, we fine-tune each element according to the boards desired riding style.

3D shaping

SideKick™ builds on the concept of Triple Base by increasing the sidebase uplift just outside the widest points of the nose and tail. The tips become more like a hull, boosting float in deep snow and slicing through crud. It also helps the board to roll quickly and evenly from edge to edge.

Construction

Supertubes™ are hollow carbon cylinders that are inserted directly into the core. They reinforce the camber, reduce weight and greatly increase pop. By varying their location we can fine-tune the board’s performance further.

Tri-Ax Lamination

Our three-way fiberglass weave is light, strong and crazy responsive. We use this to beef up the flex pattern on our more aggressive boards.

Base

Ultra Glide S

A premium, 7000-grade sintered base reserved for our high-end models. Packing more molecules into the P-tex means it’s super tough and hauls ass.

Woodcore

Ultra Light Core

A 70/30 Paulownia and poplar blend that offers awesome strength to weight.

Our Urethane Poured Sidewalls offer exceptional shock absorption, reducing chatter and vibration for a smoother, more stable ride. Flexwalls provide flexibility and resilience, allowing the board to maintain its integrity even in extreme conditions. Tech

D.R.S.T. SuperTubes

Dual Radial Super Tubes, similar to DST but with four extra Super Tubes (six in total) running parallel to the board radius, delivering extra power to the edges.

Inserts

+2 Backseat Inserts

Backseat inserts are a set of extra inserts 4cm on the front insert pack and 2cm on the rear insert pack. This allows you to set your bindings all the way back, so you can keep floating on those deep pow days. By shifting your weight back on the board the nose stays up and the pressure on your back leg is reduced.

It handles aggressive riding really well — locks onto rails real nice, pretty stable on large airs and is great in the backcountry, love the back inserts.
Over the course of a couple months of heavy riding it did start to have some issue's that might have just been unlucky, but the Bataleon team were brilliant, so stoked on how quickly they to respond and really helpful sorting everything out, which says a lot about the brand.
Overall, a sick board Q Quinten Nooren Amazing board It’s an amazing board, tried it out last night and wow! This was my first board so I was a bit skeptical, the customer service helped me get this board and it was the right choice. The board fits my riding style to a tea, it was getting used to at the beginning but after a while it started to feel natural.
