Information Density: American Clean Power Association (ACP) – Signal Evidence & AI Readability

Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
24 Impact Weight: 30 / 100
80% Reputation

The information density is exceptionally high for a trade association. While some headings use power words like unrivaled or leading the charge, they are almost always accompanied by specific nouns or data points, such as the 1.4 million jobs or 370 GW capacity mentioned on the homepage and news pages. The body substance ratio is strong; for example, the homepage moves quickly from broad mission statements to specific economic impacts like $150B in growth and electricity cost projections for the PJM system. There is minimal concept repetition, with each page providing distinct value—news for current events, resources for technical reports, and membership for organizational structure.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

The Cost of No New Clean Power in PJM

ACP analyzed the PJM system under two scenarios—one with all resources available and another with no new clean energy projects beyond those already underway or mandated. Without new clean energy development, the average residential household would see $3,000 to $8,500 in additional electricity costs over the next decade.

Solar and wind power has grown faster than electricity demand this year, report says

In the News

Worldwide solar and wind power generation has outpaced electricity demand this year, and for the first time on record, renewable energies combined generated more power than coal, according to a new analysis.

[IMG: AI composition of an aerial drone photograph of a modern data center complex with adjacent solar farm in rural Virginia, shot during golden hour with warm natural lighting. The data center features plain industrial architecture with large rectangular buildings, minimal windows, and basic security fencing - focusing on the simple, utilitarian design typical of actual facilities. A 100-200 MW solar photovoltaic installation is positioned nearby, showing organized rows of solar panels extending across gently rolling Virginia countryside. The composition shows the data center as the main focal point from a 45-degree angle at approximately 500 feet altitude, captured with a wide-angle lens. Rolling hills with mixed deciduous trees, farmland, and rural Virginia landscape. Well-maintained access roads and proper setbacks between facilities. Who We Are

Our Story
ACP is the premier association representing the American clean power industry. With unrivaled scale, resources, and political reach, ACP works to set the agenda, influence policy, and shape the future of American energy.
In 2021, a small group of clean energy industry leaders came together because they saw a need that wasn’t being met in the trade association space. Today, ACP represents over 85% of utility scale clean energy deployments across the entire ecosystem: from planning, building, and putting electrons on the grid.

“Joining ACP as a founding member was an easy decision for our team. Renewable energy is a mainstream and mature source of American electric power. Clearly, we needed a united trade association to represent the breadth and depth of our industry. If we are to deliver a grid that is predominately powered by clean, reliable, and affordable renewable power, then we must continue to advocate as one cohesive group working together and playing off each other’s strengths.”

🧭 Industry Context — common generic-claim patterns in Energy, Utilities & Environmental Services to weigh the text against
Generic Claims: powering a sustainable future, saving the planet, affordable green energy, leading the energy transition, committed to net zero, cleaner energy for everyone…
Red Flags: no regulatory license number displayed, green claims without fuel mix disclosure, net zero claims without reduction pathway, carbon offset only strategy presented as carbon neutral, no Ombudsman membership for dispute resolution, hidden exit fees and contract terms…
Semantic Drift Patterns: homepage claims 100% renewable but tariff page shows mixed sources, green branding everywhere but sustainability report shows minimal renewable share, claims affordable but pricing is above market average, net zero commitment on homepage but no carbon reduction timeline…
Proof Expectations: Ofgem or regulatory license number, published fuel mix disclosure, specific carbon reduction targets with timelines, third-party sustainability certifications, published tariff rates with comparison data, complaints handling data and Ombudsman membership…
