We’ll ask you for some basic information – including what size of skip you want (or if you’re unsure regarding size we’ll advise you), the kind of waste you are disposing of, your location, whether the the skip is to be placed on a driveway/private land or the road, your preferred delivery date and the likely duration of the hire. This allows us to quote our skip hire price immediately & if you want to book in then we can take a card payment straight away & organise your hire. After a short conversation with our team, you’ll know what you can expect to pay, as well as when you can expect the skip delivery. Use this information to help you plan your project.

[H5] We deliver the skip

On the specified date, we’ll deliver the skip to the address given where it will be unloaded from our lorry into the space you have set aside for it. Our normal, standard hire is for a maximum duration of 7 days during which you fill it with your waste. During that period you can use the skip to do away with all your rubbish and when you’re finished we’ll remove it. If you decide you need more time, you can request an extended period from our team. Other than the skip you will have to supply all your own bin bags and supplies you need to complete your cleanup. With a skip available the cleanup will go much more quickly though, and you’ll be amazed at how fast the work is done.

As soon as you have filled the skip (or have finished with it) then please call to let us know that you’d like it collected. We’ll then schedule your uplift into our drivers’ timetables. We always aim to remove skips as quickly as possible (subject to our schedule). If you need an additional skip (new hire charges apply) then please let us know when you call and we can deliver an empty skip when we come to collect. You can change the skips as many times as you need during your project, and you can even choose a different size for your location in Glasgow city if you need to.

My husband contacted them at 1650 and was informed that the skip would definitely be coming. By 8pm we realised this wasn't the case and thankfully this am i found another company to come today. When I phoned this company back there was no apology. I'm dumbfounded as to how this business manages to exsist with such apalling customer service. Not a company I would ever recommend.

My husband contacted them at 1650 and was informed that the skip would definitely be coming. By 8pm we realised this wasn't the case and thankfully this am i found another company to come today. When I phoned this company back there was no apology. I'm dumbfounded as to how this business manages to exsist with such apalling customer service. Not a company I would ever recommend.

How do I hire a skip?
You give us a call and we will discuss your requirements as follows:Skip sizeLocationType of wastePreferred delivery date & time of dayPlacement – driveway, road, garden or yardWe will then quote you a price which includes:DeliveryCollectionProfessional waste recycling/disposalThis price excludes:Applicable rate of VATAny applicable permit costs (if your skip has to be placed on a public road)If you wish to proceed we can take a card payment immediately over the phone and book you in on the agreed date.On the agreed day, our skip lorry driver will deliver and drop off the skip at your requested address & place it in the desired spot. You then have up to 7 days to fill it with your waste.As soon as you have filled or are finished with your skip, just give us a call to arrange a mutually-convenient collection day when we will come & remove the filled skip. Job done.If you need to hire another skip just let us know when you call to off-hire the existing one and we can arrange an exchange (at additional cost).
How long do I get the skip for?
A standard general waste skip hire is for a maximum of 7 days. If you have filled or have finished with the skip earlier then call us and we will arrange collection. If you require a longer term hire or multiple skip hires then please call us to discuss your specific requirements.
Do I need a permit?
You do not require a permit to place a skip in your private driveway, yard or garden.If you are placing a skip on a public road then you do need a permit from your local authority. Please contact your local council for details of the costs involved and time required to obtain one as this can vary depending on your area. If you can’t wait or don’t want to pay for a permit we offer other services to avoid this including:Wait & load skip hire – suitable if you have your waste ready to go and can put it in our skip at the roadside in a short time (e.g. 30 minutes-1 hour).Bulk uplift van service – our operative lifts your waste and puts it in a tipper van then takes it away (no skip).Both of the above services count as “loading” so no skip permit is required for them.
What can't I put in a skip?
The following items cannot be put in a general mixed waste skip:Liquids including paint, oil & fuelsAsbestosFridge freezers*Televisions/laptops**Large volumes of electrical waste*** require decommissioning due to the hazardous gases inside them ** attract surcharges as specialist waste electric and electronic equipment (WEEE). If you have these items for disposal then please advise during your skip hire call and we may be able to offer a suitable service.
Can you put a skip in my garden?
If you don’t have a driveway and cannot obtain a road permit but still want a skip then smaller (up to 8 yard) “chain” skips can be placed in a garden but good access is required for the skip lorry to be able to lift a skip into place so it really depends on your garden and the obstacles between it and the street e.g. the height of hedges, fences or boundary walls. Larger roll-on roll-off container type skips are dropped rather than lifted into place so these cannot be placed onto a garden. Please also bear in mind that a skip is heavy so this will damage the grass underneath. If you intend to place a skip in your garden then please discuss this in detail with our team when you call. If this is not feasible then please consider our other alternative waste removal services:Wait & load skip hire – suitable if you have your waste ready to go and can put it in

My husband contacted them at 1650 and was informed that the skip would definitely be coming. By 8pm we realised this wasn't the case and thankfully this am i found another company to come today. When I phoned this company back there was no apology. I'm dumbfounded as to how this business manages to exsist with such apalling customer service. Not a company I would ever recommend.

My husband contacted them at 1650 and was informed that the skip would definitely be coming. By 8pm we realised this wasn't the case and thankfully this am i found another company to come today. When I phoned this company back there was no apology. I'm dumbfounded as to how this business manages to exsist with such apalling customer service. Not a company I would ever recommend.
