Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.

The site exhibits high information density for a boutique brand. While some H2 headings on the About page lean toward poetic brand-speak (e.g., ‘We are the stories we believe in’), they are immediately followed by high-substance body text naming founders Sónia and Cláudia Rocha, the specific manufacturing location in the North of Portugal, and a historical transition from a family shirt-making business. The Stockists page is a pure density win, providing over 70 specific retail locations with associated cities and website links.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

SUB-PAGE (https://wolfandrita.com/pages/about/) about – Wolf & Rita
[H2]
We are the stories we believe in. We challenge the ordinary and embrace uniqueness. We turn experiences into knowledge. We learn by doing and living in the moment. We embrace the quirks that come with growing up.

Soon after the two sisters, Sónia and Cláudia Rocha, decided to join the family business of specialised shirts making, came the decision to create their own brand and Wolf & Rita was born. Based in the North of Portugal and embracing the use of classic techniques and the natural expertise that comes with experience, Wolf & Rita still maintains its family structure and most of its staff has been working in the company for more than three decades.

The first collection, AW13 Indian Winter was made with fabrics already on hand and consisted primarily of shirts, naturally. SS14 A Song for a Perfect Summer was successfully received by both public and media, and was awarded the Bubble London Rising Star Award.Since then, the brand’s growth has been constant and our latest collection, SS26 The Invisible Magic Club, is being sold in 70 stores, in 13 different countries around the world.

[H2]
We believe in having fun and making everyday an adventure. We dress each day as we please. We dream, even when we are awake. We are what we imagine and our clothes express just that.

With the purpose of letting children know it’s good to be different and of inspiring parents to tell their children worthwhile stories, we source inspiration from artists, art movements, writers, musicians and characters we admire and whose legacy and work we think must be praised and honoured.

Either in a more open or more strict approach, we have used their work as the basis for our prints and general mood of the collection’s images, looks and communication. In some collections, like SS20 Encore for Variações, AW20 Freedom Blues and SS23 Rêveries de L’Artiste, we were fortunate enough to be allowed to access and to work with, respectively, António Variações, Bill Traylor, and José de Guimarães’ estate.

🧭 Industry Context — common generic-claim patterns in Fashion, Apparel & Accessories to weigh the text against
Generic Claims: premium quality fabrics, designed to last, fashion for every body, affordable luxury, the latest trends, express your style…
Red Flags: sustainable claims with no supply chain disclosure, handmade claims for mass-produced items, luxury positioning with fast-fashion pricing, model photos but no product flat-lay or detail shots, ethical claims without factory audit information, perpetual sale suggesting inflated original pricing…
Semantic Drift Patterns: homepage claims sustainable but no supply chain transparency, claims ethical production but no factory information, homepage shows luxury positioning but pricing is fast-fashion, claims handmade but product pages show industrial production…
Proof Expectations: specific material sourcing details and origins, factory names and locations for ethical claims, sustainability certifications (GOTS, OEKO-TEX, B Corp), real product photography with accurate color representation, detailed size charts with measurement methodology, clear return policy with wear-and-return stance…
