Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
22 Impact Weight: 30 / 100
73% Reputation

The site exhibits high substance, particularly in the body text where it lists specific starting prices like 125cc Motorbike Insurance From 93 Pounds a Year and 29.99 Pounds for Any Bike cover. While headings like Insurance fit for a King and Bike Insurance for Bikers utilize emotional power words, they are balanced by highly specific nouns such as Quadzilla Stinger 250e and 1966 Triumph T100SS in case studies. Concept repetition is present regarding their 30-year specialist status, but it is anchored by historical context rather than pure marketing fluff.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

[H2] What are the different types of motorbike insurance?
This depends on the type of motorbike insurance you take out. There are three main types of insurance for your motorcycle, which we can tailor to suit your needs. They are:
Third party only
Third party, fire and theft
Comprehensive cover
[H3] Third party only
Third party cover is the minimum level of cover that you need to drive on UK roads; having this in place is a legal requirement.
Third party cover simply insures you in the event that you cause damage to other vehicles, persons, or property in an accident. It will not cover any damage to you or to your bike.
“Laid up”, fire and theft cover, and short-term cover is also available.
Read more about third party cover in our blog.
[H3] Third party, fire and theft
Third party, fire and theft cover is similar to third party cover in that it insures you in the event you damage other vehicles, people or property and does not cover any damage to you or your bike. This type of cover also includes insurance against damage caused by fire and theft.
[H3] Fully comprehensive cover
Fully comprehensive insurance covers the above but also your motorcycle in the event it was involved in an accident or by fire or theft. Malicious damage, flood damage and accidental damage would also be covered but exclusions can apply. Read more about fully comprehensive cover in our blog.
[H2] FAQs
[H3] What details do I need to get an insurance quote?
You’ll need to give us personal information, such as your name and address, and details on your motorcycle, including its make and model, approximate value, and the date you bought it. We’ll also need to know about your riding or driving experience and any unspent convictions or accidents you’ve had and details on the security features of your bike.
[H3] How can I prove my no claims bonus?
The renewal letter from your current insurer will usually provide proof of no claims. If not, you can contact your previous insurer and request that they send it to you.
[H3] How can I tell if my motorbike is insured?
If you’re not sure whether you’ve already taken out insurance for your motorbike, there are a number of ways you can check this. Firstly, take a look through your emails by searching for “motorbike insurance” or “motorcycle insurance”. You might also want to add “policy” to the search to help narrow it down.
In the event that this doesn’t yield any results, you can use askMID to find out if your motorbike is already insured. All you need for this is your vehicle registration number. Note that this tool doesn’t tell you which company you’re insured with; it just lets you know whether or not your bike is insured. You’ll have to ring around companies or search for insurance providers in your inbox to find out which insurer you’re covered with.
In the event you don’t have insurance, call Bikesure to get a fast and affordable quote. We offer cover that’s tailored to your needs and budget.
[H3] I own a custom or modified bike – can I still get cover?
Yes, we offer cover for all types of bikes, including fully custom or modified bikes.
[H3] Can I get cover as a new rider?
Whether you’re 16 and have just passed your CBT or you’ve been riding for decades, we can offer you cover. As a new rider, you might find that your insurance policy is quite expensive. Speak to us over the phone and we’ll do our best to beat any quote you’ve already received.
[H3] Can I get cover for multiple bikes?
Yes, with our multi-bike insurance policy, you can get cover for all types of bikes on one policy. Whether you own a whole collection or just a couple of runarounds, our cover makes it easy for you to manage your policies.
Plus, we offer discounts to those who take out insurance for multiple bikes with us.
[H3] Do I need a motorcycle license to get insured?
Even if you don’t have a motorcycle license, it’s imperative that if you own a bike, you make sure it’s insured. Alternatively, you can declare your motorbike as off the road (SORN), which means that it’s not being used on public roads.
Even if you aren’t using your motorbike and you’ve made it SORN, it might still be a good idea to take out laid-up motorbike insurance. This helps protect your bike against fire and theft.
[H3] Can I change the motorbike on my insurance?
You’ll need to transfer your motorbike insurance from your old bike to the new bike. If you’ve taken out insurance with us on the old bike, let us know and we can transfer the cover.
[H3] Can I ride another bike on my insurance?
This depends on your insurance policy. Although some policies include cover for riding other bikes, chances are this will be third party only cover rather than fully comprehensive. This means that if the bike is damaged, you won’t be able to claim on your insurance.
If you’d prefer the bike to have fully comprehensive cover, give us a call and we can provide you with a fast and affordable motorbike insurance quote.
[H3] Can I add another person to my policy?
You can add a friend or family member to your policy as a named driver. Just let us know who you’d like to add and we can help. You can also add people yourself by logging into our online portal.
[H3] Can I use my motorbike abroad?
Yes, all our standard motorbike insurance policies include up to 90 days’ cover in European Commission countries. Let us know if you need cover for longer or you’re planning on travelling outside of the EU and we might be able to help.
[H3] How do I renew my bike insurance?
If your motorbike insurance policy is coming up for renewal, let us know and we can ensure you remain covered.
[H3] Can I change my policy during renewal?
Yes, if you’d like to change anything related to your policy, let us know when you speak to our team and we can help.
[H3] Does motorbike insurance cover my pillion passenger?
If you stated in your application that you’ll be carrying pillion passengers, your passengers should be covered, but do check your policy certificate and schedule to be sure.
You can carry pillion riders on your motorbike provided you are over 17 and hold either a full UK motorcycle licence, an A1 or an A2 motorcycle licence.
If you have a bike that is under 50cc, you can automatically carry a pillion if you have a full UK car licence dated from before 01/02/2001.
If you obtained your full UK licence after this date, you must take a CBT first, but this is then valid for life rather than the normal 2 years for CBTs. This will only ever apply to mopeds.
In all cases, it’s advisable to tell your insurance company if you intend to carry a pillion to make sure they have catered for pillion cover.
[H3] Does motorbike insurance cover wheel damage or punctures?
Make sure to check your policy as most motorbike insurance policies don’t include cover for wheel damage of punctures. If you find that you have a puncture, our breakdown cover can help you get back on the road again quickly.
[H3] Does ?️ insurance cover modifications?
Many insurance policies don’t include cover for modifications, but thankfully as a specialist insurance broker, we’re able to cover all types of bikes, including those that have been modified. Whether you’ve improved your motorbike’s performance or you’ve restored it to its former glory, tell us which mods you have and we can help you get the right insurance.
[H3] Can I take my motorbike to Europe?
With one of our insurance policies, you can take your motorbike to European Commission countries for up to 90 days. Just let us know you plan to travel and we can add this to your policy.
[H3] How do motorbike licence grades work and how old do I have to be to ride them?

[H3] Can I insure my motorbike before I pass my test?
You can insure your motorbike before you pass your test. If you plan on using the bike for your test, you might want to consider learner rider insurance. And if you don’t, a laid-up insurance policy would protect your vehicle against fire and theft while it isn’t being used.

[H3] Benefit from 5-star-rated classic motorcycle insurance
We’re rated 5 stars by Defaqto. This means that independent experts at Defaqto have reviewed our classic motorbike insurance and concluded that it’s worthy of the company’s highest rating.
Rest assured that you’ll receive “an excellent product with a comprehensive range of features and benefits” when you take out a classic bike insurance policy with us.
[H2] How much is classic motorcycle insurance?
The cost of your classic motorcycle insurance depends on a number of factors, including your riding history, how much experience you have on the roads, how you use your bike and how long you want to take out cover.
Rest assured that we offer specialist cover for classic bikes at affordable prices. Take a look at the case studies below to find out just how affordable our classic motorbike insurance quotes are. And if you’d like a better idea of how much your premium will cost, speak to our team directly.
[H3] Can I get a discount on my classic motorbike insurance?
Yes, although classic motorcycle insurance is already one of the more affordable types of cover available, there are many ways you can save even more money on your policy. This includes:
Becoming an owners club or forum member
Riding fewer than 7,500 miles a year makes you eligible for one of our low mileage policies
Only needing temporary cover to ride your bike for short periods throughout the year
Previous experience riding a classic bike
Adding security precautions to your bike, such as motorcycle alarms and locks
Owning multiple classic bikes and insuring them all with us
Taking out laid-up cover when your bike isn’t in use
[H2] Flexible vintage motorcycle cover for all makes and models
Whether you own a Kawasaki Z1, a Royal Enfield Bullet, a Ducati 860 GT, a Triumph Bonneville or a Norton Commando, we can offer low-cost, high-quality cover for all bikes, including classics, vintage, modern classics, and veteran motorbikes. We also cover classic mopeds and scooters and can often offer cover where other insurance providers cannot.
So whether you’ve modified your classic bike or you’ve got a particularly rare model, give us a call. We do our best to beat any quote.
[H2] Which classic motorbike policy do I need?
Third party only cover is the minimum level of insurance you can take out, but this might not necessarily be what’s best for your cherished bike. You can choose cover from the following options.
[H3] Third party only
This is the minimum level of cover required to ride your classic bike on public roads legally. If you’re involved in an at-fault accident, this will cover the cost of any damage or injury sustained to a third party, their property and their vehicle.
[H3] Third party, fire and theft
Third party, fire and theft (TPFT) includes everything in a third party insurance policy, but your bike is also covered against fire and theft.
[H3] Fully comprehensive cover
Fully comprehensive insurance includes everything in the above two tiers, plus it also covers the cost of damage to your motorcycle and any injuries sustained by you.
[H2] Extras for your classic bike insurance
We offer a number of comprehensive protection packages, which are a more affordable way of getting a number of optional extras such as helmets and leathers cover, legal cover and breakdown cover.
We also offer a number of optional extras which you can add to your insurance policy. This allows you to tailor cover to meet your needs. You can pick and choose from our full range of extras:
Helmets and leathers cover
Breakdown cover – just £48 for classic motorbikes
Licence defence
Ride any bike cover
Keycare
Excess protect
Gadget cover
Travel insurance
[H2] What is the difference between standard and classic bike insurance?
Classic motorcycle insurance is designed specifically for the unique needs of your bike. These types of policies can typically include optional extras you wouldn’t find with most standard policies, such as agreed value and limited mileage cover.
In addition to this, classic bike insurance tends to be more affordable compared to standard policies as most classic motorbike owners are experienced riders who treat their pride and joy well and often only take to the road for limited periods in the summer months.
[H2] Get classic motorbike insurance tailored to your needs
When you take out a classic bike insurance policy with Bikesure, you can rest assured that the policy will be perfectly tailored to your particular needs. That’s because we have access to an array of specialist classic motorbike insurance schemes, designed especially for classic and vintage bikes.
With our online quote system, you can instantly compare and buy classic motorbike insurance quotes from the range available and then choose which quote is the right one for you. You can always speak to one of our expertly trained underwriters to take up the policy or discuss further options. In fact, for a classic motorbike insurance quote, we recommend you speak to one of our advisers, as they will always have more flexibility than a computer.
We have many years of experience offering classic bike insurance and are able to offer a tailored classic motorbike insurance policy to all UK residents, including those living on the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.
[H2] Classic motorbike insurance FAQs
[H3] How old does a bike have to be to get classic motorcycle insurance?
Generally speaking, a motorcycle is deemed a classic when it turns 30 years old. However, at Bikesure, we classify some bikes from the late 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s as classics if, for instance, the motorbikes are no longer made and are considered rare.
[H3] Is classic motorcycle insurance cheaper?
Insurance for your classic bike can be cheaper than standard insurance. This is for a number of reasons, including because we know you’re more likely to take good care of your bike and you’re also likely to ride fewer miles than you would on a standard bike.
[H3] Do I have to MOT my classic motorcycle?
If your motorcycle is 40 years old or over, it is legally exempt from getting an MOT. That being said, your bike must still be kept in a roadworthy condition for it to be ridden on public roads. If you have the knowledge to maintain your own bike, you could check its roadworthiness yourself, but having your classic bike regularly tested by professionals can offer peace of mind.

[H2] We can cover agricultural quad bikes on the road too
Insurance for agricultural quad bikes can be complex. Here’s what you need to know:
Coverage for road use: we provide insurance for utility quads registered for agricultural use, but coverage is applicable only when these vehicles are used on public roads
Our policies do not cover quads while they are engaged in agricultural activities on private land
Theft protection: comprehensive and third party, fire and theft (TPFT) policies include protection against theft, also covering incidents where your quad bike is stolen from its storage location
[H2] Quad bike insurance with a difference
Choosing a quad bike insurance policy from Bikesure ensures coverage that aligns with your needs. We provide access to specialist and affordable insurance schemes designed specifically for you.
We cover against fire and theft and offer a whole array of road insurance products to road-legal bikes.
And if you have zero no claims bonus (NCB), don’t despair. Whatever the reason for your lack of discount, you can get a quote from us, and we can also offer convicted rider insurance for riders with motoring convictions or criminal convictions.
Schedule a callback from one of our experienced members of staff today. Our links with knowledgeable underwriters allow us to offer cover you wouldn’t otherwise see on the market.
Bikesure’s insurance products can be customised to your needs – you can choose additional features that will benefit you most. All policies offer £100,000 of legal cover free of charge, but you can also choose personal injury cover, comprehensive breakdown cover with homestart and protective clothing and helmet insurance as low-cost options.
