Information Density: HSBC UK – Signal Evidence & AI Readability

HSBC UK

(https://www.hsbc.co.uk) 📸 Data Snapshot: May 16, 2026
Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
25 Impact Weight: 30 / 100
83% Reputation

The information density is exceptionally high for a retail bank. Substance is found in the specific financial triggers (e.g., ‘Get £500 when you… transfer £100k+’) and granular loan data like ‘6.2% APR representative available for loans between £7,500 and £20,000’. Fluff is restricted to minor H1 and H2 tags such as ‘Banking from the palm of your hand’, but these are immediately followed by technical specifications like OS requirements (iOS 15 or higher). Concept repetition is minimal, with each page serving a distinct utility from debt management to international transfers.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

📝 The Narrative — clean text per page (the substance-vs-filler signal)
