Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
24 Impact Weight: 30 / 100

The site maintains a relatively high substance ratio compared to typical retail finance sites. Substance is anchored by specific data points such as the 40 billion dollar institutional assets under management claim and the identification of regional teams (Quebec, Ontario, West). The Q1 2026 Report provides actual economic analysis regarding the Strait of Hormuz and Iran, though H3 headings like Our Commitment to Responsible Investing and Trusted for Quality, Sustainable Investing border on fluff saturation.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

[H2] Q1 2026 Report

Constraints on traffic through the Strait of Hormuz drove oil prices sharply higher, adding near-term inflationary pressure to an already fragile global growth backdrop. This energy shock fueled market volatility, while mixed signals from the U.S. Administration further complicated the policy response.

[H1] Q1 2026 Report

Economic Review
The conflict in Iran triggered a major energy supply shock, driving oil prices sharply higher and adding near-term inflationary pressure to an already fragile global growth backdrop.
Canadian bond yields were quite volatile during the quarter, while investment-grade credit spreads remained relatively stable despite heightened geopolitical turbulence and broader market volatility.
Energy dominated global equity performance, with the Canadian market benefiting proportionally from higher oil prices relative to other developed market indices
Investment Outlook
As with past commodity shocks, particularly those not driven by underlying fundamentals, we believe current conditions will eventually subside.
After leaving the overnight rate unchanged, the Bank of Canada appears inclined to remain cautious, with rate cuts likely delayed unless the growth backdrop weakens more meaningfully.
The current volatile environment has created attractive opportunities for capital deployment for investors with a long-term horizon.
