Information Density β€” The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers β€” numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities β€” outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
26 Impact Weight: 30 / 100
87% Reputation

The information density is exceptionally high, with a body substance ratio that heavily favors technical data over marketing. Headings like ‘M8 Canopy Compatibility . . . . . . . . . . PDR 235-253’ provide exact technical specifications rather than power words. While the H1 ‘In a hurry for your sexy new rig?’ uses fluff, it is immediately followed by a 15,000-character sizing guide and specific inventory counts. Specificity is high, featuring over 93 distinct stock results with unique SKU numbers and exact pricing down to the cent.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

πŸ“ The Narrative β€” clean text per page (the substance-vs-filler signal)

[H2] Mirage Harness & Container System

A rig’s official name is a Harness and Container System. Simply put, the harness holds the human and the container holds the canopies. Harnesses can be adjusted but containers cannot, so you should always start by determining the container size that you need. Size for your reserve first since some mains fit into more than one container size.

[H2] Canopies

This is our most up to date canopy compatibility guide, based on the canopy manufacturer’s information and our experience.
Be aware that canopy pack volumes (even the same size and same model) often vary slightly from canopy to canopy.

How Should My Canopies Fit Into My Rig?
For a rig to look its best, and to look great on you, it needs canopies that fit!
We size the containers for the maximum size canopies they can comfortably hold for most packers in most locations. Customers should note that container fit is slightly subjective. The tightness that one prefers, others may not. Larger sizes may be squeezed into some containers but may damage the container. Main canopy sizing is based on using the Mirage primary closing loop location (#1 bottom flap).

SOFT = This is a nice fit for dry climates, such as the desert, where canopies usually pack larger. Humidity and altitude affect ease of packing, especially zero porosity fabrics. If you jump in a dry environment we definitely recommend you avoid choosing a firm fit. You’ll thank us later!
RECOMMENDED = You, and your rig will be happy.
FIRM = This will be a difficult pack job to make look good. Firm reserves will make your harness tighter in the shoulders. Firm mains will often look β€˜pregnant’. If the fabric of the rig is stretched for an extended period, it will never shrink back.
* If it doesn’t list soft /recommended / firm that means we haven’t packed it recently and you’ll just need to compare it to the other canopies listed for that rig.

Pack Volume Testing : If your canopy is not listed here, you can send it to us (or have a demo sent to us) and we will do a pack volume test at no charge.
Canopy Manufacturers : You can also contact the canopy manufacturer and ask them how their canopy packs compared to the other canopies listed on our chart.

[H2] Quick Tips

These are the criteria for canopy compatibility.
Canopies not listed on our chart can be packed if they meet these criteria.
Reserve Container:
Your riser cover tuck tabs should not be pulling out (too much bulk up top)
Your reserve pin cover tongue should be fully inserted and laying flat, not bent (too large of a reserve or too long of a loop)
Your reserve pilot chute should not wobble when you press on it (not fully compressed)
The force required to move the ripcord pin should be less than 22 lbs
* FAA-AC-105-2E: Do not install a canopy of lesser or greater pack volume than the intended design criteria for the specific size of container, since it could adversely affect the proper functioning of the entire parachute assembly.
Main Container:
Your main grommets should not be visible when your pin cover is closed (main closing loop too long)
G4.1 / G4.2 / G4.3 : The main closing loop standard setting is 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) from the washer to the end. It may be adjusted, but should not be longer than 2 inches (5 cm) from the washer to the end.
G3 / W / RTS : The main closing loop standard setting is 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) from the washer to the end. It may be adjusted, but should not be longer than 2.5 inches (6.4 cm) from the washer to the end.
The sides of the rig should not have large dents (main bag not fully rotated into pack tray)
Every Mirage container size has a custom fitted main bag. If you use a different bag, your main will probably not fill the container correctly.
The closing loop should not go slack and the pin should not move when the main container is firmly pressed, squeezed or kneeled on (loop is too long or main is too small)
The rig should not look pregnant (main is too large)

[H3] Your Mirage should look good!
Choose your container for the canopies you will be packing into it now, not the ones you might be packing into it later.
If you get a rig that is too short, the canopies will just bulge out the front and the rig will look pregnant.
An overstuffed rig looks bad.

[H2] Models
This guide is for all Mirage models: G1 / G2 / G3 / G4 / RTS
[H2] Standard Series
This guide is regularly updated to reflect the pack volume test results of current canopies.

Always size for your reserve first! Some mains fit into more than one container size.

[H3] Mirage Harness Sizing
The Mirage harness has four (4) parts.
MLW : The main lift web is the front of the harness and is determined by the length of your torso.
LP : The leg pads.
STAB : The stabilizers (waist) determine how snug the bottom of the rig is against your back.
YOKE : This is over the shoulders. If you have a large chest or thick shoulders (lift weights) you may need a longer yoke.
Our stock rigs already have a stabilizer and yoke size.
[H3] Instructions:
[H1] A
[H4] Determine Your Stabilizer (waist) :
Measure around your waist at the belly button
● The stabilizers determine how tight the rig is against your lower back.
● Stabilizers are sized in 1/2 inch (1.27 cm) increments
● + or – 1/2 inch from your size is usually acceptable. Each increment is similar to loosening or tightening your belt one notch.
● More than 1/2 inch from your correct size is not desirable. The rig will be too tight or too loose against your back.
Reference Tool : Stabilizer Measurement
[H1] B
[H4] Determine Your Yoke (chest/shoulders) :
Measure around your chest across the nipples
● If a yoke size isn’t indicated then the rig has a standard yoke
● +1 or -1 yoke means that the distance from the top of the rig to the 3 rings (over the shoulder) was adjusted by 1 inch.
● A standard yoke is usually acceptable for a person that needs a -1 yoke.
● A standard yoke will feel snug or tight in the shoulders for a person that needs a +1 yoke
● If you have thick shoulders (lift weights) you may want us to double check your sizing.

[H2] Custom Container G4

Mirage Systems carries a large selection of colors in cordura, parapak, webbing and tapes in stock. Combined with our extensive embroidery options, the possible combinations for you to customize your rig are nearly limitless! If you are finding it all to be a little overwhelming, we suggest using our stock containers and our photo galleries for inspiration. If you find something you like, we can usually duplicate it in your size.
Important : We endeavor to provide consistent and compatible colors across the variety of webbings and fabrics in our harness & container system; even going so far as ordering custom dye lots. Please understand, however, that all fabric colors vary slightly by lot and textile mill. We have no control over that. We also cannot control how the colors may appear on your monitor.
If you are concerned about a particular color, you can request that we send you color swatches for fabrics currently in stock.
If you see a rig in our stock section that you would like us to copy or reference, put the SKU# in the additional notes field at the bottom of the order form.

🧭 Industry Context β€” common generic-claim patterns in Fitness, Gyms & Sports Clubs to weigh the text against
Generic Claims: transform your body, the best gym in town, results guaranteed, your fitness journey starts here, state-of-the-art equipment, expert personal trainers…
Red Flags: transformation photos with suspicious editing, guaranteed body composition changes, trainer certifications not from recognized bodies, no facility photos or stock gym images, hidden joining fees or contract lock-in terms, weight loss claims without health disclaimers…
Semantic Drift Patterns: homepage shows elite athletes but facility is basic, claims expert coaching but trainer qualifications are entry-level, homepage promotes transformation but no before-and-after evidence, claims cutting-edge equipment but facility photos show dated gear…
Proof Expectations: trainer qualifications with certifying body names (NASM, ACE, CIMSPA), real facility photographs, specific equipment brands and lists, genuine member transformation stories with consent, class timetable with named instructors, first aid and safety certifications…
