Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.

The site exhibits a dual nature in information density. Headings like H3 Welcome to West Coast goodness and H2 Sign up to save are pure marketing fluff. However, the footer and Supply Chain pages contain high-density substance, citing specific federal regulations regarding hormone use and USDA organic standards. The body text is fragmented, with a significant amount of the homepage dedicated to boilerplate legal disclaimers rather than educational product content.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

Although a U.S.-based poultry producer with limited international activity, Foster Farms takes comprehensive steps to ensure that the vendors it does business with adhere to this principle, and are free from human rights violations, including the trafficking in human beings.
These steps include:
Verification
Foster Farms is committed to fair labor standards in its supply chain. Foster Farms may conduct periodic random assessments of product suppliers to verify that they are not at risk for violating anti-slavery and human trafficking laws.
Training
Foster Farms provides special training for its Supply Chain Management to maintain ongoing awareness of Human Rights issues and abuses, such as the trafficking in human beings. Additionally, all members of the Foster Farms executive leadership receive similar training in Human Rights issues every two years.
Certification
Foster Farms may require that vendors provide certification of compliance with all applicable laws governing employment, and human rights, including the prohibition of human trafficking.
Supplier Audits:
Foster Farms reserves the right to require vendors to provide independent third-party-audited proof of compliance and certification, but does not directly conduct independent third-party vendor audits. Foster Farms will promptly and thoroughly investigate any claims or indications that a supplier is engaging in the violation of human rights, including human trafficking

[H4] Internal Accountability
Foster Farms’ enforcement of this policy will result in termination of any supplier that fails to provide certification and any requisite proof of compliance, or in any other way fails to meet expectations regarding Human Rights.
