Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
15 Impact Weight: 30 / 100
50% Reputation

The Information Density score of 15 reflects a severe divide between the FAQ substance and the product range fluff. Product descriptions are saturated with the concept ‘DELICIOUSLY THIRST-QUENCHING WITH THAT GREAT TASTE,’ which is repeated verbatim across 10+ product listings on the Energy and Sport range pages. While the FAQ provides technical specifications like 12mg of caffeine per 100ml, the primary marketing sections rely on power words like ‘zingy,’ ‘bolder,’ and ‘awesome taste’ without supporting evidence. The specificity of technical data is undermined by massive concept repetition and generic descriptors.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

Why have you made changes to the bottle caps?

The sustainability of our packaging, and what happens to it when it’s empty, is hugely important to us. We design our packaging for circularity and the introduction of tethered caps is our latest step towards making our drinks more sustainable. The caps on our bottles have always been recyclable, but these are often discarded and therefore not recycled. This new change means that the cap stays attached to the bottle after opening, reducing the potential for it to be littered. We are committed to making sustainable changes to our packaging to help achieve a circular economy for plastics.

[H2]

Why is there a combination of tethered and non-tethered caps still on shelves?

Making a big change is complicated and takes time to implement on our manufacturing lines. We are therefore transitioning to tethered caps in different phases leading up to July and there may be some of the old bottles still on shelf while we roll out the new design.

Did this answer your
question?

[H2]

Were your bottles and caps not recyclable before?

All of our bottles and caps have been recyclable for many years. Once you have finished with your drink, we recommend you put the cap back on the bottle so both parts can be recycled. Unfortunately bottle caps are often discarded and littered, but by attaching them it means they are more likely to be recycled.

[H2]

Have you changed the recipe of Lucozade Energy drink?

Yes. Rolling out in August 2023 is a bold new taste for Lucozade Energy Orange and Lucozade Energy Original.
The new recipes deliver a more “zingy” taste, with a bolder taste for the unique Original flavour and a more citrusy, orange note for Orange.

[H2]

Are your bottles recyclable?

Yes, our bottles are easily recycled. We would recommend leaving the cap on when recycling your bottles, however it’s always best to check your local council guidelines as some may ask for the cap to be removed.

Did this answer your
question?

[H2]

My bottle looks like a dark grey colour, why is this?

You can expect to see a grey tint to the plastic bottles which use recycled material as we are re-using plastic bottles. ‘Grey is the new green’ and this tint is something to be proud of as it shows that your favourite brand is being more sustainable and committed to using recycled plastic.

Did this answer your
question?

[H2]

Do I need to remove the sleeve before I put it in the recycling bin?

Recycling the cap and label with the bottle gives all materials the best chance of being recycled. Most of the time you can leave the label on as the recycling process separates and collects them for downcycling. However not all local authority recycling centres are set up to recycle label material yet, so always best to check local guidelines about whether it needs to be removed. You also might like to know that we have reduced the sleeve on our Lucozade Sport bottle so that the bottle is easily identified and sorted into the correct waste stream, helping to turn bottles back into bottles.

Did this answer your
question?

[H2]

Why use plastic at all? Why not switch to glass or cans?

Plastic can be recycled time and time again and has a lower carbon footprint than both glass and aluminium.

Semantic Drift Patterns: homepage claims fine dining but menu prices are casual, claims locally sourced but no suppliers named, homepage shows plated dishes but delivery menu is different items, claims authentic cuisine but menu is fusion with no cultural specificity…
Proof Expectations: food hygiene rating displayed, named ingredient suppliers and sources, chef background and culinary credentials, real food photography not stock images, current menu with accurate pricing, allergen and dietary information…
