Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.

The site has a bipolar density profile; H1 headings provide excellent specifics such as Express Lunch Menu – 2 Course Lunch €19.99 and 6th Anniversary – €6.90, but H3 headings like With a focus on… act as fluff-heavy transitions. Body text frequently uses power words like Award-Winning and exceptionally high without quantifiable metrics or naming a single specific award body. There is significant concept repetition regarding the founders’ hotel background and local meat focus without introducing new evidentiary details across the 6 pages. Substantial factual nouns are limited to the specific street addresses and the year 2017.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

[H3] WELCOME TO THE SPITJACK

The SpitJack Rotisserie Brasserie was an exciting concept curated by husband and wife team, Richard and Laura, which came to life in mid 2017.
After years of experience working in high-end hospitality in some of the world’s leading hotels, the couple relocated to Cork with the aspiration of opening a restaurant in the heart of the city. They wanted the foundation of their restaurant to reflect a Taste of Ireland with the quality and high standard of Irish meat enhanced by the wonders of Rotisserie Cooking.
Predominantly meat focused, The SpitJack also offers wonderful vegetarian menus and “free from” options, providing a restaurant that caters for everyone.
The SpitJack Cork, located on Washington Street in the heart of Cork City quickly became one of the best restaurants in Cork for Breakfast, Brunch, Lunch and Dinner. Later followed by the opening of The SpitJack Limerick in 2020, right on the corner of Henry Street and Bedford Row, our second location has been as much of a success story as the first. Our story is to be continued.

Five stars all round for SpitJack Cork. The staff are friendly but very non intrusive on your dining experience. Very fast and professional. Lovely setting decor and atmosphere especially upstairs. The food was just wow. Get there early for the pork porchetta. It’s divine. The crackling and apple sauce combination is mouth watering.. Very reasonable for the experience and portion size. Book this place weeks in advance there’s a reason it’s impossible to get a table herebrunch. I had the lorem ipsum

An absolutely fantastic dining experience. We had a wonderful window seat, lovely staff, a varied reasonably priced menu, and delicious food. The best meal we have had in a very long time. We had starters, mains, desserts, wine, stout and coffees, all different choices and everything was amazing. We will definitely return and recommend it.brunch. I had the lorem ipsum

Everything about The SpitJack was enjoyable. The ambience/atmosphere when you walk in is great, a real buzzy space. The interior is so well thought out the details in the decor are fantastic. We were seated upstairs. Staff were extremely courteous and of course the food was excellent. We had a good cross-section of the menu between the 4 of us and there were zero complaints. A very worthwhile experience, I’ll be back again next time I visit Cork.brunch. I had the lorem ipsum

🧭 Industry Context — common generic-claim patterns in Food, Restaurants & Delivery to weigh the text against
Generic Claims: the best food in town, authentic flavors, made with love, quality ingredients, unforgettable dining, a culinary journey…
Red Flags: no food hygiene rating displayed, stock food photography, locally sourced claims without naming any supplier, award claims without verifiable source, menu without prices, no allergen information available…
Semantic Drift Patterns: homepage claims fine dining but menu prices are casual, claims locally sourced but no suppliers named, homepage shows plated dishes but delivery menu is different items, claims authentic cuisine but menu is fusion with no cultural specificity…
Proof Expectations: food hygiene rating displayed, named ingredient suppliers and sources, chef background and culinary credentials, real food photography not stock images, current menu with accurate pricing, allergen and dietary information…
