Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
27 Impact Weight: 30 / 100
90% Reputation

Information density is exceptionally high with almost zero fluff in the headings. Instead of using power words like innovative or cutting-edge, the site uses specific botanical and geographic markers such as Finca Tamana SL28 & Geisha and Finca El Suelo Ethiopian Landrace in H3 tags. The body text provides technical protocols for coffee preservation, mentioning nitrogen flushing and vacuum-sealed bags, which shifts the content from marketing to technical specifications. There is minimal concept repetition, with each page serving a distinct functional purpose from commerce to sustainability reporting.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

SUB-PAGE (https://timwendelboe.no/pages/responsibility/) Responsibility | Tim Wendelboe Coffee
[H1] Our Responsibility
Our work towards a more sustainable Tim Wendelboe begins with looking at the supply chain as a whole, from the producers we buy green coffee from, all the way to packaging and shipping providers.

[H1] How We Work

[H3] Long-term relationships with farmers

We believe in building close, long-term relationships with the producers we buy from. Together, we work systematically, both in the short and the long term, to improve their farms and the quality of their coffees.
More about our farms

[H3] Improving our production

At our roastery in Oslo, we are continuously working towards a more sustainable production. Reducing waste and seeking circular solutions are currently at the top of our priority list. We have already implemented several initiatives to lower our footprint and are always looking for ways to refine and improve our routines.
About our roastery

[H3] Good routines in our espressobar

Over the years, we have established meticulous routines in our espresso bar. Here, our sustainability goals are centred around reducing waste and promoting circularity. We also highlight local and handmade craft in the bar, from hardwood furniture built by a local woodworker to the cups and jugs we serve coffee in.

Transparency Reports
Since 2010, we have published the prices we pay for green coffee. We believe that any coffee business serious about sustainability must also be transparent and open about what they pay the farmers they source from. Fair pricing and sustainability go hand in hand. Farmers cannot be expected to focus on sustainable practices if they are not first able to make a decent living.

[H2]
TW Biological Project
In November 2023, we announced an ambitious ten-year goal: by 2034, all the coffees we purchase should come from regenerative farming systems. To begin this journey, we launched the TW Biological Project in partnership with Biofilia, a team of experts based in Mexico. This three-year project is being carried out across all the farms we source from in Central and South America. Its purpose is to improve soil health, strengthen crops, and increase both yield and profitability for farmers. At the same time, we are looking beyond productivity alone. The project seeks to enhance carbon sequestration, increase on-farm biodiversity, build resilience to climate change, and reduce costs for producers.

[H1] Frequently Asked Questions
Here you will find answers to our most frequently asked questions. If you do not find an answer to your question below, please click here to contact our team.

What is a coffee subscription?
Tim’s Choice & Gift Subscription:Just like a magazine subscription – or Netflix – a coffee subscription is a service that allows us to send freshly roasted coffee to your mailbox every month, without you having to remember or think about it.Your Choice:Just like our other coffee subscriptions you won’t have to think about ordering coffee anymore. With Your Choice you can choose the flavour profile you want, either Fresh & Fruity or Rich & Sweet (you can also choose a ‘surprise me’ profile) and whether you want to receive it every 2,3 or 4 weeks. Based on that your order will renew itself and we will send you coffee based on the flavour profile you have chosen within two working days after your renewal.
How does it work?
Tim’s Coice & Gift Subscription:Our coffee subscriptions are sent on the first Wednesday of every month. Make sure you sign up by the last day of the month prior to when you would like to receive coffee. For example, if you would like to start receiving your coffee subscription in June, then sign up by 31st of May. Payments are taken from your account automatically on your renewal date every month. For example, if you signed up the 24th of May payments will be taken the 24th every month. So please make sure to have sufficient funds at the beginning of that day to avoid delay.Your Choice:When signing up for Your Choice you can choose the frequency yourself. We will send your coffee within two working days after your renewal date. For example, if you have chosen delivery every 2 weeks, your order will get renewed two weeks after your last renewal and we will pack and ship your coffee either that day, or when we have roasted a new batch of coffee from the category that you have chosen.
Is there a binding period?
There is no binding period, you may cancel or pause your subscription at any time you wish in your profile.
Can I change the details (address, quantity of bags, etc) of my subscription?
To manage your subscription, log into your account where you can change the delivery address, quantity of bags and coffee type (filter/espresso).Please remember to make any changes before your next subscription renewal date in order for changes to be reflected in your next shipment. For example, if you signed up on the 24th of May you have to make the changes before the 24th of the month. Changes made after this will be applied to the next month’s order. If there are changes you want to make to this month’s subscription or you want to change your shipping method, contact us and we will help you.
How often will I receive my coffee?
Tim’s Choice & Gift Subscription:We currently send out our coffees on the first Wednesday of every month.Your Choice:Your coffee will be shipped within two working days after your subscription renewal.
How long will it take for my coffee to reach me?
Pakke i Postkassen & Pakke til Hentested/PakkeboksWith Pakke i Postkassen tracking is provided and shipping usually takes 2-3 business days.DHL Express Worldwide With DHL, tracking is provided.Europe: 2 – 3 business daysRest of world: 3 – 4 business days
How do you guarantee freshness?
We only roast to order and our coffee gets packed immediately after roasting. We flush our bags with nitrogen when we seal them as this preserves freshness and greatly prolongs the shelf life of the roasted coffee. In our experience the optimal period to consume our coffee is from 1 week after roasting to within 5 weeks after the roast date, (although it can still taste great after this). We have found that the best brewing results come after allowing the beans to rest approximately 5-10 days after roasting. This de-gassing period allows time for most of the CO2 from the roasting process to evaporate. In other words, by the time you receive our parcel in the mail, you should be ready to go.
When do I need to sign up by?
To catch the next shipment, make sure you place your order by 12 noon (CET) on the 30th / 31st of the month prior. For example, place your order by 30th of April to catch the next batch of coffees sent on the first Wednesday of May.
What do I get with my 'Tim´s Choice' subscription?
Each month Tim will choose his favourites coffees, making sure that your receive something different every time. Often we will roast something exclusive for subscribers, it may be a micro-lot that we have purchased or a unique variety. Coffee is always roasted to order and sent out on the same week, so you are guaranteed to receive freshly roasted beans. You can order 1, 2 or 3 bags per month – filter or espresso roast.
How do I pause my subscription?
Currently we do not have a pause function on the subscription, but you can cancel the subscription and reactivate it at any time when you want to start receiving coffee again.
How do I reactivate my subscription?
Log in to your account, and click "manage subscriptions".
How does a gift subscription work?
This works the same as our recurring subscription except that it only lasts 3, 6 or 12 months. So it really depends how much you want to spoil that special someone. You can select up to three bags and you can choose between filter and espresso. If you want to update the shipping address, please contact us.
If I order more than one bag of coffee per month in my subscription, will I receive multiple bags of the same coffee?
Tim’s Choice & Gift Subscription:We normally ship different types of coffee which means that if you subscribe to 3 bags you will get 3 different coffees. However if you subscribe to 4, 5 or 6 bags we will send 2 of each of the 3 coffees we have selected. Sometimes we might send out less than 3 different coffees as well but most of the time it is 3 types of coffees.Your Choice: Yes, you will get the same regardless of how many bags you order. You can choose which kind of flavour profile you want and we will send you coffee that fits your chosen profile. Please note that we won’t send out the same coffee every time as our selection will variate based on season and what we have in storage.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We are pleased to offer international shipping with DHL.Unfortunately, due to customs challenges we are not currently able to ship to Brazil, Greece, Guatemala, Russia, Thailand, Spain, Chile, Indonesia, Italy, Uruguay or Vietnam.
How much does shipping cost?
The cost of shipping depends on weight, volume and destination. The shipping price for your order is calculated and added to your total during checkout. We currently use Posten for packages delivered within Norway where you can choose between Pakke i postkassen or Pick-up parcel with tracking. For our international customers, the exclusive shipping option available is DHL (EXPRESS WORLDWIDE).
Does the checkout price include customs duties and taxes?
Yes, the checkout price includes all costs associated with your order, including customs duties and taxes, tailored to the country of delivery. This means the total price you see at checkout covers everything – there will be no unexpected charges for your order or its importation to your country.
Do your prices include shipping?
No. Because shipping rates vary according to destination, shipping costs are calculated and added to your total during checkout.
When will my coffee arrive? Will it still be fresh when it gets here?
We want you to enjoy the freshest coffee possible, so we always send coffee within a week after it was roasted. All our coffees are packed in nitrogen flushed and vacuum-sealed bags. This increases the shelf life of the coffee and our coffees should therefore taste sweet and fresh at least for a month after roast date.Pakke i Postkassen, Pakke til Hentested/Pakkeboks (Norway Only)With Pakke i Postkassen or Pakke til Hentested/Pakkeboks, tracking is provided. Delivery within 2-3 business days.Brevpost (Norway Only)It is not possible to track this package.Delivery within 2 – 5 business days.DHL Express WorldwideWith DHL, tracking is provided.Europe: 2 – 3 business daysRest of world: 3 – 4 business days
Are there any issues with customs or duties on shipments?
Each country has different tax and duties regulations but in general our orders are able to reach our customers without any delays through customs. For our international customers we only ship with DHL and we deliver the packages DDP which means customs declaration, duties & taxes are included in the freight price.
DHL On Demand Delivery
If your order is shipped with DHL, you can easily manage when, where, and how your shipment is delivered for free using theDHL On Demand Delivery webpageor the DHL Express Mobile app.
I have received the tracking information for my subscription, but my package is not moving. What is happening?
All ‘Tim’s Choice’ subscription orders placed between the first and last day of a month are dispatched on the first Wednesday of the following month.Throughout the month, we prepare your order and print the shipping label, which automatically triggers the system to send you a confirmation and tracking information. However, please note that even though you receive the tracking details early, your parcel will not be dispatched until the first Wednesday of the next month.
I want my parcel to be shipped to a PO Box, but the address is not being accepted at checkout. What should I do?
Unfortunately, DHL does not accept shipments to PO Box addresses. However, with the DHL On Demand App, you can manage your delivery and choose an alternative pickup location instead of your home address. Once you have received the shipping information from us, you can easily adjust your delivery preferences using the DHL app.
What is a light roast coffee?
A light roast coffee is one where the coffee is not roasted as long or as dark as traditional dark roast coffee. We wish to preserve and enhance as much of the natural coffee flavours as possible so that you will be able to taste the distinct flavours that are unique to each coffee we import. Therefore we roast our coffees very carefully in order not to cover our coffees with roasty aromas from darker roasts and at the same time stay away from the grassy flavours and sour acidity from an underdeveloped roast. Our light roasted coffees are suited for all brew methods, except espresso. The roast level gives a cup with clarity, brightness and sweetness with little bitterness and ashy flavours from the roast process. If you wish to brew espresso on an espresso machine, we recommend using our espresso roasted coffees.
Do you sell ground coffee?
No. Because we are committed to providing you with the best coffee experience possible, we only sell coffee as whole beans.
What kind of grinder should I use?
There is a wide range of electric home grinders available on the market today, from entry level to café-quality. The two most important criteria to look for are an adjustable grind setting and a good set of quality grinding burrs.
