Woodland Villa residents enjoy access to resort dining, spa thermal suite, indoor pool, outdoor heated infinity pool, fairy trails, treasure trails and a plethora of other activities on Parknasilla’s 500 acre estate. Also located within the resort, bordering the shoreline, we have a wonderfully intriguing 9-hole parkland golf course.

The Doolittle

A place to gather

The social heart of the resort, named in honour of ELIZA Doolittle.  This is a relaxed place to gather for easy conversation.  Lunch and dinner are served here. The focal point of the room is the curved granite top bar.  Enjoy refreshing cocktails, refined whiskeys and of course a perfectly poured pint of Guinness.
Each evening, talented musicians gather with our resident pianist, further adding to the convivial atmosphere that the Doolittle is most renowned for.

The Pygmalion Restaurant

Dine by the sea

It is in this room that you are reminded of the history and tradition of this great hotel. For 130 years hotel guests have dined and danced here and watched the sunset on Kenmare Bay.
More recent refurbishments have transformed this room, still with its high ceilings & starched white linens, however, older gilt-framed paintings have been replaced with a commissioned art collection by renowned Beara Artist Sarah Walker and new brighter colour palettes allow the splendid beauty beyond the window to take centre stage.

Grown with love & care

Our Kitchen Garden was first planted four years ago and is now flourishing.  Located inside the walls of the ruined Derryquin Castle benefitting from the shelter the walls afford, the salt spray from the sea and the temperate influences of the Gulf Stream.
Our garden supplies us with a selection of vegetable, leaves and herbs including kale and salad speciality mixes, Jerusalem artichokes, swedes, courgettes, cabbage and spinach.

In keeping with the Railway theme that underpins the history of Parknasilla., we have custom designed and built a “food trailer” in the style of the horse drawn trams that transported guests from the Railway Station in Killarney and the Great Southern Hotels at Kenmare and Parknasilla
That tram is located beside the playground between the lodges and the villas offering a menu consisting of all the family holiday favourites that can be enjoyed in the comfort of guests own lodge or Villa.
