Living according to nature’s ways. Each room’s deep, coastal colours are drawn from the nearby wildflowers, rock pools and sea mosses. Adults-only, dogs welcome. Rooms here don't use air-con, they are designed to be warmed by the sun, cooled by the sea breeze.

Scarlet Spa’s an eco spa featuring a scenic indoor pool, outdoor natural reed pool, clifftop cedar wood sauna, restorative steam room and wide views of the blue Atlantic. Treatments take place in tented, lantern-lit rooms and include stillness afterwards in the deep relaxation room’s suspended cocoon pods.

[H2] Sustainability at Scarlet Spa
Sustainability and innovation are always at the forefront of what we do at Scarlet. Making everyday changes contribute to a bigger mission of eco-conscious behaviours. As a result, in the past we have kindly asked that guests bring their own flip flops or sliders as single use footwear can be harmful to the environment. We do now have flip flops available to borrow from the Spa if you have forgotten yours.Choosing our flip flop provider wasn’t an easy decision, sustainability, safety and purpose all needed to be considered equally. Our new flip flops are consciously crafted from recycled rubber, reducing landfill and waste in their creation. Once their lifetime is over, we are able to return them to the supplier where they can be recycled again into rubber for children’s playgrounds, giving them a new lease of life.

Dog-friendly Holidays in Cornwall

Our natural retreat is open to both humans and dogs. And with long stretches of Cornish sand and miles of Atlantic cliff paths, Scarlet can be what both dogs and their owners seek.
If planning to stay with a dog, please contact our reservations team directly prior to booking your stay as we have a limited number of dog-friendly rooms. Scarlet accepts small to medium dogs and up to two dogs can share your Scarlet stay with you.

[H2] A Few Extras For Your Room

Tell us your dog is coming and we’ll prepare the room especially. Arrive at Scarlet and you’ll find a dog bed, towel and food bowls ready for you. Our dog-friendly rooms also only feature enclosed outdoor areas, so there’s no unplanned four-legged exploration of the gardens.
Whilst we do understand how comfy our human beds are; we must ask that any of our four-legged friends refrain from using these beds and furniture and instead use the cosy dog beds provided.
If you’re allergic to dogs, we also have rooms that remain dog-free. Please contact our reservations team to discuss further.

Breakfast can be served at a booth in Scarlet’s bar, while lunch and dinner can be taken in the dog-friendly Retreat Lounge or Scarlet bar. Scarlet restaurant's outdoor terrace is open to dogs.
Along the coast, there are plenty of dog-friendly restaurants, cafes and pubs. Many of our team are dog owners themselves and they’ll be on hand to share their recommendations.

[H2] Walking Around Scarlet

The welcoming Reception Lounge and warm upper Retreat Lounge are open to dogs. We ask for dogs to be kept on leads around the hotel.

[H2] Going For A Walk

Mawgan Porth beach is dog-friendly all year round. For a full day’s walk, the South West Coast Path tracks right by Scarlet. Keep following until all legs are tired out.
