Set over three floors, the 14 rooms at The Old Quay House offer big, comfy beds – perfect for a good night’s sleep after all that Cornish sea air and incredible food. Each room is individually decorated and styled, reflecting the charm and character of our boutique hotel in Fowey.In every room, you’ll find: free Wi-Fi, a TV with Freeview channels, telephone, tea and coffee-making facilities, complimentary still and sparkling water, bathrobes, and a hair dryer. We also keep umbrellas available at Reception – because the one thing we can’t always fix is the British weather!Several rooms include small balconies, and most look out over the estuary. You can even lie in bed with your morning coffee, watching the boats drift by and taking in views of Polruan village on the opposite bank.Well-behaved pups are welcome at The Old Quay House Hotel. We invite you to review our Dog Policy before booking. Please note that we are unable to accommodate children under the age of 8.

Set over three floors, the 13 rooms at The Old Quay House all offer big comfy beds so you can be sure of a good night’s sleep after all that good food and sea air. All our rooms are uniquely decorated and furnished with its own individual style and decor.In each one you’ll find: Free Wi-Fi access, TV, telephone, tea & coffee making facilities, complimentary still and sparkling water, bathrobes and hair dryer, as well as umbrellas… because the one thing we can’t always fix is the British weather.

Several of the rooms have small balconies and most look out over the estuary so you can even lie in bed and sip your first coffee of the day watching the boats drift by. You’ll also be able to look across to the village of Polruan, on the opposite side of the river.

The Old Quay House is tucked away in the heart of the quaint, bustling seaside town of Fowey.
Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the town clings to the west bank of the Fowey estuary – a deep-water harbour long favoured by sailing enthusiasts. As you wander the ever-narrowing streets of the old town, where medieval and Georgian buildings stand shoulder to shoulder, a rich maritime history begins to reveal itself.
Along the main Fore Street, you’ll find a mix of small, independent shops selling everything from artisan gifts and artwork to books and boutique clothing – and right among them, our water-side hotel.
Nearby attractions include the Bodinnick Ferry, Fowey Aquarium, St Catherine’s Castle, and Readymoney Cove – all of which make Fowey a favourite holiday destination for curious travellers and coast-lovers alike.

If travelling from the Tamar Bridge Plymouth follow the A38 eventually bypassing Liskeard and Dobwalls. At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A390 to St Austell. Drive throughLostwithiel and up the hill, after approximately 1 mile, turn left onto the B3269 to Fowey.If travelling from Exeter M5 leave at junction 31 onto the A30 to Bodmin. At Bodmin take the A389 through the town and pick up the B3269 to Fowey.If you are using Satellite Navigation please change your settings to ‘Avoid ferries’ otherwise you will be directed over the Bodinnick Ferry and through smaller B roads. Also some Sat Nav systems will take you to another small town across the River called Polruan so please ensure that you enter Fowey and the name of the hotel into your system. We are recorded under ‘Places of Interest’ (POI’s) within the hotels section.

[H2] Parking & Directions

From the mini roundabout on the outskirts of town, follow the A3082 signed Fowey. At the second mini roundabout, take the first exit, and then the first exit at the third mini roundabout. Follow the road downhill until reaching a right-hand bend signposted Fowey and Main Car Park. Turn left at the bend to go down Lostwithiel Street. Follow the road into town past the church and along Fore Street. The Old Quay House is on the right.The hotel does not have its own car park. However, there are various carparks throughout Fowey. The Old Station Yard Car Park is about 800 yards further on from the hotel, guests can pay via the meter or on the app ‘Just Park’. There are alternative car parks available. We cannot guarantee spaces as these car parks are operated by an external company and is on a first come first serve basis.We recommend that you drive into the centre of town, stopping outside of the hotel to drop off your bags (you are able to stop outside the hotel for up to 5 minutes and hold traffic) before proceeding to your preferred car park.

Subject to availability, date restrictions may apply, only valid for Sunday-Thursday stays between 1st March- 31st May 2026. Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer. Percentage discount applies to room rate only; breakfast and dinner supplements remain as normal. Not available over bank holidays.Reservations can be cancelled for free up to 48 hours prior to arrival. Amendments can be made to your reservation subject to availability. If the booking is amended or cancelled within the 48-hour period or in the case of a no-show, the full amount of the accommodation will be charged.
