Online Optimism
(https://onlineoptimism.com) 📸 Data Snapshot: May 19, 2026Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.
The site exhibits a healthy balance between industry power words and hard substance. While H2 headings like ‘Partner with Experts You Can Count On’ are pure fluff, the body text provides rare specificities such as starting prices for one-off projects ($8,000) and typical monthly account ranges ($5,000–$35,000). The recent projects section includes a quantifiable metric: ‘Generating 19.75% More In Results For TMS Therapy,’ which serves as a significant substance anchor against the ‘Optimism’ branding.
Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.
📝 The Narrative — clean text per page (the substance-vs-filler signal)

They are valuable tools that facilitate our work, but not replacements for personal connections and communication. We do business with people—not products. [H4] Always Optimize Working on the leading edge of technology allows us to improve our work and results. In a rapidly evolving industry, we know there will be missteps along the way—what matters is learning quickly and correcting course. We always look for ways to make the next campaign even better than the last. [H4] Support Our Communities Whether it’s through volunteering, providing paid internships, or sharing our expertise with local businesses, we’re always ready to support others. We work to ensure we are continually making a positive impact on our communities. We believe our team can produce its best work when everyone prioritizes their health, wellness, and life. [H2] Company FAQs [H3] How did Online Optimism start? We were launched by Flynn in 2012 from his kitchen table. We’ve since grown to around 20 Optimists, with roughly half our staff still in New Orleans, and the other half working remotely from across the country. [H3] What makes Online Optimism different from other agencies? We make marketing personal. Unlike agencies that follow rigid templates and standardization, we tailor our approach to your unique goals and audience. Everything from our proposal options to our strategies is customized to your organization’s needs. Plus, you’ll always know the real people behind your marketing—no faceless account managers here! Our Optimists become an extension of your team, providing regular updates and detailed reporting so you’re never left wondering what we’re up to. [H3] What services do you provide? If it touches a screen and affects marketing, we likely handle it—though if we don’t, we’re always happy to point you in the right direction. Our typical marketing accounts are between $5,000–$35,000/month, though we handle some smaller and bigger accounts. Website and one-off projects start at $8,000. You can find more detailed information about this on our Pricing page. [H3] What industries do you specialize in? We’ve worked with clients across diverse industries, including healthcare, hospitality, education, legal, AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction), nonprofits, and more. Check out our Industries page to see specific examples of our work in your field! [H3] How quickly can you start on my project? After our initial chat, we’ll let you know how quickly we can get a proposal to you. Depending on the complexity of your needs, we’ll have it ready within 1-10 business days. When you move forward, we’ll begin our onboarding process, which usually takes 2–4 weeks (again, depending on your individual project’s specifics). We believe in doing things right rather than rushing, and we’re always transparent about our timeline from day one. [H3] Can I meet with you? Of course! New clients can book an initial call here. For other queries, fill out the form on our Contact page and the right person will reach out to you. [H3] Can I be an Optimist? We love your interest, and we also love adding talented people to our team! Check out our Careers page. If you’re in college or recently graduated, we recommend our Specialist program, our 12–16 week paid internship program. [H3] What’s with all the green? Oh, did you notice? It’s our brand color and we’re all about it! Green represents growth, optimism, and fresh thinking—all things we bring to your marketing. BriCommunity Manager [IMG: Bri looks up from her phone, sitting in a green chair at the Online Optimism office.] AmandaSr Designer [IMG: Amanda draws on an iPad while sitting in the conference room] [H3] Making Work 100 While we work hard at Online Optimism, we also strive to make that time as productive and engaging as possible for our team. And we recognize that a healthy work-life balance is key to a thriving company culture. [H4] Outside work Though we’re a fast-growing business, we strongly believe in doing what we can to help our Optimists maintain a work-life balance. We don’t expect Optimists to work outside of office hours, and we specifically request that our employees do not check work emails after hours. [H4] Non-compete policy We will never get in the way of you becoming the best you. If an Optimist ever believes that there’s a better opportunity out there, we wish them the best and hope they stay in touch. Even after all this time? Always. Optimists are also able to take freelance projects or maintain other side gigs, as long as it does not get in the way of their full-time hours, and their Director is aware of any marketing freelance projects they take on. [H4] Goal Setting, Reviews, and KPIs Our review system runs on a trimester schedule, so we set goals and have employee reviews every four months. We set quantitative and qualitative goals each trimester with our CEO, Flynn, and your supervisor, if applicable. We call our quantitative goals Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Depending on how many KPIs are achieved, employees can receive up to $400 in value for gift certificates to local small businesses, three times a year! As part of the trimester review, we also have a frank discussion about your salary. At many companies, conversations about compensation are often avoided or outright condemned for reasons that benefit the company, not employees. Your salary at an agency often depends on your ability to negotiate, rather than your ability to help the company grow. This too often leads to unfair and inequitable wage differences between staff. We’re aware that talking about money can be uncomfortable for some people. But we hope that having regularly-scheduled conversations regarding salary throughout the year is a good step towards getting our employees onto a level playing field within our company. During our review period, we also collect feedback from our employees regarding their peers, direct reports, managers, and themselves. They also receive an Engagement Survey to gauge overall employee satisfaction and give our Leadership this feedback to take action and optimize processes. [H3] Remote Work [H4] “You Do You” Work Environment Our Optimists are all talented, but their preferences for where and how they work best are each unique. Our policy reflects the knowledge that they can choose their preferred workplace environment, and our job as a company is to be as supportive as possible. Optimists are allowed to choose where they work from, starting on Day 1 of being an Optimist. That means they could work: In-office at their own permanent desk or at our headquarters in New Orleans, LA, which comes with endless snacks, couches, and dual monitors. Our office has a casual dress code and a large (but sadly finite) amount of office pups. From home, or anywhere else they have Internet access. An open desk at a co-working space in a different city than Online Optimism’s headquarters, which we’ll pay for them to have access to. In addition, they have the flexibility to change up the location whenever they want, without asking permission. They only need to inform us of changes in permanent residency so we may take care of the taxes and other legalities of working from a new state. At the moment, the two restrictions are that staff must work during either Central or Eastern Time Zone business hours, and their residence must stay within the United States. Beyond that, the choice of where to work each day is theirs. We’ll continue to bring our team together annually for a retreat in New Orleans. We’ll continue to find fun ways for our team to bond and engage, from happy hours to Tuesday Trivias. We’ll continue to organize volunteering and facilitate networking events, while providing opportunities for those outside our headquarters to support their community. Some Optimists can feel Optimistic working from home and do incredible work for clients. Some love the camaraderie they get in an office. Others change their mind every day about where they work best. It’s time to build a company that provides for that kind of flexibility in order to attract that top talent that our clients deserve. We work toward a positive impact on our community. [H4] Volunteering Our staff is encouraged to volunteer within their communities. Our New Orleans team regularly volunteers together, with organizations like Wednesday at the Square through the Youth Leadership Council and Culture Aid NOLA, a no-barrier, no-stigma food aid nonprofit. [H4] GIVE Hours Remote staff and those looking to volunteer during work hours are supported by the company too! Team members have 16 hours (two days) worth of paid time off they can put toward volunteering with a nonprofit during the work day. Staff have used this time to serve food to the unhoused, walk dogs at a local shelter, garden with a local environmental group, and more! [H4] Donate + Elevate Through our donation match program, employees may donate to their favorite nonprofit organization and have this matched 100% by Online Optimism, up to $500 per year per employee. This long-term program has an added twist that we are particularly excited about: Each year our team will review nonprofits and choose a New Orleans-based and national one with similar causes to donate to throughout the year. This chosen nonprofit will receive the same amount as that being matched for an employee’s personal donation. So in the end, we give 200% of what our employees choose to donate personally. Past nonprofits we have supported through this have been related to Climate Justice, Trans Rights Advocacy, Children’s Art Programs, Women’s Health, and more! [H4] Nonprofit Spotlight Each quarter, our team chooses a nonprofit that we believe has values aligned with ours, or that we have a personal connection to, and feature it on our social media and in a blog post, in addition to making a donation to them directly. This has helped our team get excited to learn about new nonprofits and suggest ones they already know about and would like to give exposure and support. [H3] Our Commitment to DEI We’re an inclusive company that’s dedicated to supporting BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and other marginalized communities through both internal and external initiatives. Our DEI Committee meets regularly to plan events and initiatives to ensure we are continuing in our commitment. [H4] DEI Training All employees and Specialists complete a 90-minute course during their first three months with us. This ensures our company has a shared understanding and vocabulary surrounding DEI practices. [H4] Reimagined Subscription We offer all team members the option to subscribe to Reimagined’s newsletters, formerly called “Anti-Racism Daily.” Their newsletters share news and current events related to DEI, links for further reading, and action steps we can take now within our communities. [H4] Affinity Groups These groups provide space for socializing and resource-sharing to any Optimists who share an identity with the Affinity Group. Each group is employee-led and includes monthly prompts for discussion, quarterly happy hours, and the option to host company-wide learning events. [H4] Book Club Called “On the Same Page,” any team member may join our book club to take part in our discussions about a range of books by diverse authors. Three times each year, an Affinity Group chooses a book and pairs it with a movie sharing similar themes. We purchase the book for all participating employees and meet through the Trimester to discuss and reflect. [H4] DEI Speakers Twice each year we bring in a speaker to educate our team on a current topic relevant to our communities, usually tied to a non-profit organization or a business whose work aligns. [H4] Lunchtime Chats Our team also meets periodically during lunchtime to chat about current topics that are relevant to DEI, usually prompted through our Reimagined subscription’s recent newsletter content. Read More about Our DEI Efforts [H3] Health and Wellness There are policies and benefits in place to ensure we prioritize our employees’ wellness inside and outside of their work day: [H4] Health Insurance We offer medical, dental, vision, and life insurance to all our full-time employees, as well access to an EAP (Employee Assistance Program) through CompPsych. [H4] Unlimited Physical and Mental Sick Days If you aren’t feeling 100%, we want you to take the time to rest and recover so you can be at your best during your work day. [H4] Personal Focus Days If a team member has a historically difficult day that they want to work on, but don’t feel well enough to attend meetings, we allow them to set these meeting-free days that allow them to work without needing to socialize and to take breaks as needed. [H4] Out-Of-State Medical Procedures If for some reason a medical procedure isn’t available near you, we will also fly you to another state where it is and pay for a night’s hotel stay, no questions asked. [H4] Optimovers Our ongoing walking competition lets employees choose to send in their daily walking miles to be entered into a raffle for gift cards related to health and wellness businesses. Flynn, CEO [IMG: Flynn holds up his 2024 OOie Award trophy with a smile.] [H3] Other Optimistic Perks Online Optimism’s robust company culture offers many more perks and benefits for its staff, including the following: A relaxed, casual dress code. An offering to travel to a national conference related to your expertise within your first three years. Monthly Tuesday Trivia, where we take a break in the work day to test our skills on a different topic. And, of course, there are prizes involved! Each full-time employee gets four Summer Fridays (half work days) to use between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Do you work as a polling commissioner during election years? We’ll let you take Election Day off without dipping into your PTO! We will host up to two websites for each Optimist. Our MONEY Program allows full-time employees to get a bonus check based on their implemented innovative ideas! We cover the cost of any networking groups or events related to your career or skills that you want to work on. We love to celebrate! From birthdays to workaversaries to client kickoffs, renewals, and website launches, there’s a gift of some kind for you. Our annual retreat brings the company together in New Orleans for team building activities and exciting events, culminating in our annual OOies company party!
