Posting your first job is easy, simply sign up, create your profile and you’re ready to tell us what you need. Add your location, a job description, any special requirements and a rate you’re willing to pay.

Once you’ve posted your job, we’ll smart-match sitters and share their profiles with you. You can send direct invites to these, and any other, sitters on SureSitter to apply for your job. Sitters will also be able to search and apply through the jobs board. Applications for your job will appear in your dashboard, you can review, accept and reject them.

As applications come in, you can review their profiles and start interviewing. This process is entirely up to you, most parents arrange a call and then meet sitters before making a decision. Once you’ve decided on a sitter for your job, simply agree the terms and pay, and enjoy the support.

SureSitter connects parents to trusted sitters, like you! We’re providing an easy, safe and trusted way for you to do what you love and build a great income. Getting set up is easy – as you’d expect, there’ll be checks to make sure you’ll provide a professional service, but we’ve made process simple and quick. Here’s how it works.

Your profile is how you’ll be smart-matched to jobs.

Apply for jobs and respond to direct invites from parents.
[H2] 3. Do what you love
Meet up and interview, agree a rate and earn money doing what you love.
[H2] Step 1: Create your profile
Creating a profile is simple. Sign up and we’ll send you an email to confirm your account. Once confirmed, you can complete your profile.
Completed profiles get more work
Your profile is how you sell your service. It appears in the search results on SureSitter and will shape the parents’ first impression of you. Try to add as much detail as possible, it’s important that parents understand who you are and your experience.
It’s compulsory to add a current profile picture, but feel free to smile on it, unlike on a Passport photo!

Top tips for a great profile:
Verify your ID, parents prefer verified sitters.
Add your experience, any relevant previous job history and why you chose to be a sitter.
List the locations you’re willing to work in – you can list as many as you want.
Make sure your profile is published using the button on your dashboard. Otherwise parents won’t see it in their search results.
Make sure your photograph is recent and professional, think formal rather than Facebook.

[H2] Step 2: Apply for jobs
Once your profile is complete and published, it’s time to do what you love. There are two ways to get jobs on SureSitter:

[H3] Search the jobs board and apply

The jobs board lists all the opportunities available on SureSitter. You can search and refine the results according to the areas you want to work, job types and job requirements. Once you find a job that’s right for you, you can send an application and wait for the parents to either accept or reject your request to connect.
You can have multiple invitations active at the same time. There’s no need to wait for a reply on one before inviting another family to connect.

[H3] Reply to invitations from parents

Parents can invite you to connect, you’ll find your direct invitations in your dashboard inbox and we’ll also email you the invite. It’s very important to either accept or reject an invitation to connect. It only takes a second and the parent will be notified automatically so they can take the next step. Once you accept an invitation to connect, parents will contact you directly to discuss the job.

Top tip: Faster replies mean more work
It’s very important to either accept or reject an invitation as soon as possible. Your average response time will be shown on your profile and parents prefer sitters who respond sooner.

[H2] Step 3. Do what you love and ask for a review
After connecting with the parent and completing the job, you should ask them for a review. All reviews go on your profile and increase your SureSitter ranking – positive reviews build more trust and result in more invites to connect. They also make you feel great too!
