Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.

70% Reputation

The site exhibits high information density with a low fluff-to-substance ratio. Headings frequently include specific nouns and product names such as Coralific Delite, Bio-Pure FD Tubifex Worms, and Saki-Hikari Marine Carnivore Pellets rather than generic power words. Specificity is further bolstered by technical details like ‘gut-loaded mini cubes’ and references to 140 years of company history. However, some points are lost due to the repetition of the ‘Trusted By Hobbyists’ H3 tag and the recurring use of the ‘Species Specific’ slogan across all metadata and headers.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

My geckos love it! They were very picky before and your product is the only thing they truly enjoy which brings them the nutrients they need. My one gecko we named him Forest he is a rescue. He has a bone disease and your product is helping him to grow strong and move more.

Picked up a sample pack of your Coralific Delite™ at the recent fish show in Orange County. I have been feeding it to my corals and they are exploding with life. My corals have never looked better. Thanks.

All other water conditioners would remove the chloramines, but I kept losing fish to ammonia poisoning. I have just done three consecutive water changes and switched to Ultimate® Water Conditioner. The fish show no signs of stress. It looks like I've finally resolved the mystery of my mysterious deaths.

I have finally found a product that my betta liked. He sure is one picky betta, he is the only one who refused to eat all the other brand pellets. He really enjoys Hikari® Betta Bio-Gold pellets. Thank you so much and my betta and I will now be your new loyal customers.

We acquired 2 wonderful little red eared slider turtles 7 years ago. They have thrived into large adults. We have found that they really like the ®Bio-Pure FD Tubifex Worms. They dance when they see the container.

Bio-Pure® Frozen Clam on a Half Shell is a great starter food for finicky feeders like large angelfish and butterflyfish, and it can also be a tasty treat for larger tank busters like triggers, tusks and puffers. Thanks!

[H2]
Saki-Hikari® Marine Carnivore Pellets are so good that my fish prefer it from other 3 very well recognized brands. If I feed the 4 brands at the same time they eat Saki-Hikari® pellets only and they let the other pellets fall to the bottom of the tank.

I have finally found a product that my betta liked. He sure is one picky betta, he is the only one who refused to eat all the other brand pellets. I tried Topfin, Aqueon, Tetra; even Omega One and he would still not budge. He would spit them back out but that is no longer the case. He really enjoys Hikari® Betta Bio-Gold® pellets. Thank you so much and my betta and I will now be your new loyal customers.

🧭 Industry Context — common generic-claim patterns in Pets, Veterinary & Animal Services to weigh the text against
Generic Claims: we treat your pets like family, compassionate care for every animal, your pet deserves the best, trusted by pet owners for years, state-of-the-art veterinary care, because pets are family…
Red Flags: no RCVS or veterinary board registration visible, guaranteed health outcomes for animals, alternative treatments presented as veterinary medicine, no named veterinarians with qualifications, pricing hidden entirely, stock photos of animals instead of real practice images…
Semantic Drift Patterns: homepage claims advanced care but services are basic wellness only, claims specialist expertise but no specialist qualifications listed, homepage shows high-tech equipment but facility photos show basic setup, claims 24/7 emergency but contact page shows limited hours…
Proof Expectations: RCVS registration for all veterinary surgeons, specific specialist qualifications beyond BVSc, real facility photographs, transparent fee estimates for common procedures, named veterinary team with qualifications, emergency and out-of-hours care arrangements…
