Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
22 Impact Weight: 30 / 100
73% Reputation

The site exhibits high information density, particularly on the membership page which lists specific monthly costs (£7.50 to £25.00) and granular benefit lists. While the H1 ‘Compassionate care’ is a generic power phrase, the body text provides substantial technical detail such as the names of specific vaccines (Myxo-RHD and RHD 2) and triaging tools (VidiVet). The substance-to-fluff ratio is significantly better than industry averages due to the inclusion of fixed pricing and named founders.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

SUB-PAGE (https://wooltonvets.co.uk/our-story/) Our Story – Woolton Vets
[H1] Our Story

Alex and Sarah met at Liverpool University back in 2011. Sarah, originally from Somerset, fell in love with the city and decided to stay in Liverpool after graduating.
They both started out their veterinary careers in a corporate setting and enjoyed the early challenges that come with being a vet.

Having watched Alex’s dad, Bryan, run his own veterinary practice for over 20 years, they knew that they would one day like to do the same. Alex and Sarah felt that they did not have a great deal of autonomy in their current jobs, so decided to call local veterinary practices to see if anyone was contemplating selling their business in the next few years, in a bid to get their name on the map.
Little did they know that just two years out of university an opportunity would present itself when Village Vets, as it was then, came up for sale in Woolton Village. The young vet duo knew very little about owning a veterinary practice at this stage, but had a passion for providing the best in client and patient care and they knew that it was now or never.

Alex and Sarah took ownership in December 2018, living next door to the practice for the first two years. In 2020 they knocked through and refurbished the practice, making it the beautiful and spacious site that it now is. They feel incredibly lucky to be at the heart of the fantastic community of Woolton and have loved every second of owning the practice so far. Delivering the best care to patients and clients, as well as supporting their amazing team, is at the heart of what they do, each and every day.

🧭 Industry Context — common generic-claim patterns in Pets, Veterinary & Animal Services to weigh the text against
Generic Claims: we treat your pets like family, compassionate care for every animal, your pet deserves the best, trusted by pet owners for years, state-of-the-art veterinary care, because pets are family…
Red Flags: no RCVS or veterinary board registration visible, guaranteed health outcomes for animals, alternative treatments presented as veterinary medicine, no named veterinarians with qualifications, pricing hidden entirely, stock photos of animals instead of real practice images…
Semantic Drift Patterns: homepage claims advanced care but services are basic wellness only, claims specialist expertise but no specialist qualifications listed, homepage shows high-tech equipment but facility photos show basic setup, claims 24/7 emergency but contact page shows limited hours…
Proof Expectations: RCVS registration for all veterinary surgeons, specific specialist qualifications beyond BVSc, real facility photographs, transparent fee estimates for common procedures, named veterinary team with qualifications, emergency and out-of-hours care arrangements…
