But the system is extremely adaptable, supporting multiple user-controlled functions that can manipulate power, current, and temperature limits independently so that you can bend CPU performance to your will.

For this CPU, the base clock (BCLK) can be stably increased to give an extra boost during lightly threaded workloads. At Level 1, the BCLK is set to 104, and it remains at that frequency until the current reaches 35A. Then the BCLK drops down to 102, and stays in that Level 2 range up until 55A. From that point on, the CPU is using most or all of its threads, so the BCLK scales back to the default 100.

By managing the Electrical Design Current (EDC) in tandem with the total current, this CPU can gain extra performance for short, demanding bursts. During lightly threaded workloads, below 35A, the Level 1 EDC is set to a low value, in this case 60. As more cores are needed, the EDC is set to 120, which was found by this user to be a sweet spot for performance. Once the CPU passes 70A, it is in multi-threaded territory, where it was found that a high EDC of 250 gave optimal performance.

In order to let the CPU cool off if its temperatures go too high, this user constrains the Package Power Target (PPT) when thermals increase. Specifically the short-term value (“Fast”) is used. Until the CPU reaches 70°, it can run at full performance, so 350W is set to give plenty of overhead. At that point, the power limit reduces to 220W, to let the CPU start reducing heat.

“The only way to win the next world war is to prevent it.” After the great war, under the leadership of Gaian United Nations (G.U.N.), the human race hoped to restore a Golden Age once again.

Their resources were limited, however, and could never be distributed fairly. With the ideal of a “New Order” shining down from the billboards, the real world continued to slowly collapse. In the end, the utopia spoken about so often by the authorities became nothing but an empty promise.

The discontent and disappointment of the common people needed a way out. For a time, the CySports held by the government placated the public, but it could not make up for the false hope in reality. Before the crowd’s rage roared toward those in authority, the frenzy was redirected to those who held extraordinary powers, the G.A.M.E.R.s, who carried the original sin of the great war.

G.A.M.E.R.S
A long time ago, a special group of people appeared with unique gifts, enabling them to resonate with the element silicon. These special abilities have attracted jealousy and persecution from society rather than blessings. Suppressing their gifts, G.A.M.E.R.s have hidden themselves throughout history. In secret, they use the “Dauntless Eyes” as a totem to advance human civilization in these digital times.

In a worldwide trade war, G.A.M.E.R.s were exposed to human eyes by accident. People began envious, but before long became terrified of those talents. Presumably, G.A.M.E.R.s are supposed to promote and develop civilization; in truth, they have been held captive by the authorities, fighting in a meaningless chaos and slowly withering away.

FATE WAR
One G.A.M.E.R., who dreamt of equal rights for his brethren fell victim to a secret, inhumane experiment by a syndicate. His family was wiped out in a similar conspiracy. A broken dream and hatred toward human beings turned him into a fallen angel called FATE. He swore to eradicate the human race from Earth as revenge. Wherever his armies went, despair and grief followed.

As the FATE War brought the human race to the brink of extinction, a secret society of G.A.M.E.R.s, Cavalon, was revealed to be standing against FATE’s invasion. Working with G.U.N., this secret association planned a raid against FATE’s forces, initiating a frontal conflict. When the crisis was resolved, the new world era was named the Calendarium Gaian.

Over the past seven years, the safety net governed by G.U.N. was supposed to maintain world peace, but has become a surveillance net to monitor and persecute people that the authorities disagreed with. Any movement, no matter how small it is, could trigger repercussions from those in power.

The G.A.M.E.R.s who once saved the world are being hunted down by this network. They are tortured and charged with trumped-up accusations…
