Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
23 Impact Weight: 30 / 100
77% Reputation

Information density is high, with the body text providing specific trail lengths (49km), terrain descriptions (400m of boardwalk), and exact GPS coordinates for trailheads (53.93048, -9.92915). Most H1 and H2 headings are functional rather than fluff-heavy, though phrases like ‘World Class’ appear in body copy. There is a moderate amount of repetition across pages regarding the ‘Achill Sound to Cashel Section’ and ‘bike repair stations,’ which appear to be sitewide news snippets.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

[H2] The Great Western Greenway
The Great Western Greenway – Ireland’s first greenway – is a walking and cycling trail in County Mayo on the Wild Atlantic Way. Running 49km around the Eastern and Northern stretches of Clew Bay in Co Mayo.
It begins in the popular seaside town of Westport and traverses through the quaint towns and villages of Newport and Mulranny before coming to a gentle finish at Achill Sound.
Offering mild gradients courtesy of its initial beginning as a railway line and with magnificent landscape backdrops such as Clew Bay, Clare Island, the mythical holy mountain Croagh Patrick and the Nephin Beg Mountains which forms Part of Wild Nephin National Park.
You will travel through bogs, woodlands and active farmland, while spotting wildlife and flora, the Greenway has something unique for each and every visitor.
The multi award winning Great Western Greenway “was voted the top three cycle trails in the world, by the New York Times”

Great Western Greenway, News Item5km - multi-useThe World Class Great Western Greenway (Westport – Achill Sound – Cashel) is mainly a 48.5km traffic free cycling and walking facility which primarily follows the line of the famous Great Western Midlands Railway, which closed in 1937. Its development has been made possible by agreement of local landowners who have allowed permissive access to users to pass through their lands. This route offers gentle gradients and some of the most idyllic scenery in the west of Ireland.
