Semantic Coherence — The Lens

Pull the main entities out of the H1, then check whether they actually recur through the body. A page that announces one thing and then talks about another drifts. Headings with no real sentences underneath read as pseudo-substance.

Semantic Coherence Homepage promise vs. Sub-page reality.
18 Impact Weight: 20 / 100
90% Reputation

The homepage H1 ‘GENTING COMPANIES & KEY BRANDS’ promises a comprehensive overview of five distinct business divisions, but the internal delivery is uneven. While the Energy and Leisure & Hospitality pages provide concrete directories and operational data, the Life Sciences page fails to deliver any information on its stated vertical. This represents a significant drift where the corporate positioning suggests a five-pillar specialist, but the digital substance only supports four. Furthermore, the ‘Highlights’ section on the homepage is largely generic, contrasting with the granular project data found in the Energy division.

Semantic Coherence is read from the heading hierarchy first: what each page announces in its H1 and headings, then whether the body actually delivers on it. Below is the structure the engine mapped, followed by the clean text to check for drift between promise and reality.

[H1] ENERGY

Genting Energy represents the Group’s strategic arm on power generation and oil & gas operations.
Genting Power Holdings Limited (“Genting Power”) spearheads the Group’s power portfolio with diversified energy assets across China, Indonesia and India. The current portfolio features a total gross installed capacity of 2,852 Megawatts (“MW”) with net attributable operating capacity of 1,474MW. To advance the clean energy transition, Genting Power is actively expanding its portfolio with an advanced high-efficiency gas-fired power plant featuring hydrogen co-firing capability in China and planned investment for Phase II of Dongwucha solar power plant in China. These additions will raise total gross installed capacity to 4,442 MW.
Genting Oil & Gas Limited (“Genting Oil & Gas”) leads the Group’s oil and gas operations with a portfolio designed to deliver long-term value. It operated an oil field in China up until April 2026 when the petroleum contract expired. In Indonesia, Genting Oil & Gas is developing a gas field complemented by a Floating Liquified Natural Gas (“FLNG”) facility the first of its kind in Indonesia creating an integrated value chain from production to liquefaction and positioning the company as a key LNG player in the region. Recently, Genting Oil & Gas invested in a new oil field in China, reinforcing its commitment to expanding energy resources and pursuing opportunities aligned with future energy needs.

MEIZHOU WAN POWER PLANT, CHINA
Genting Power owns a 49% interest in SDIC Genting Meizhou Wan Electric Power Company Limited (“SDICG MZW”), a joint venture between Genting Power and SDIC Power. On 30 June 2025, SDICG MZW successfully handed over Phase 1 of the Meizhou Wan power plant, comprising 2 × 393MW subcritical coal-fired power plant, to Fujian Investment & Development Group Co., Ltd., marking Genting Group’s strategy in moving away from further investment in coal-fired power projects, supporting its long-term commitment to building a cleaner, more sustainable energy portfolio.
SDICG MZW continues to hold an interest in Phase 2 of the coal-fired power plant in Meizhou Wan, Fujian Province, China, comprising 2 x 1,000MW ultra-supercritical coal-fired power plant (“Meizhou Wan power plant”).

JANGI WIND FARM, INDIA
Genting Power’s 100% owned 91.8MW wind farm in Gujarat is Genting Energy’s first renewable project. The Jangi wind farm consistently generated approximately 181 Gigawatt-hour (“GWh”) of clean energy in 2025. Since its inception in September 2011, its cumulative clean energy generation has reached approximately 2,941GWh, which is estimated to have offset nearly 2.5 million tonnes equivalent of carbon dioxide emissions.

BANTEN POWER PLANT, INDONESIA
Genting Energy holds a 55% stake in the 660-megawatt supercritical coal-fired power plant in Banten Province, West Java, Indonesia (“Banten power plant”), which began operating in 2017. As part of its commitment to cleaner energy, the Group is preparing the installation of 1MWp rooftop solar panels at Banten power plant. This initiative underscores the Group’s efforts to reduce carbon emissions from its existing power assets while improving efficiency and lowering operational costs through reduced grid electricity consumption.

CHENGDAOXI BLOCK, CHINA
In the Oil and Gas Division, Genting Energy holds a 49% working interest via Genting CDX Singapore Pte Ltd in the Petroleum Contract for Petroleum Exploration, Development, and Production in Chengdaoxi block in the shallow waters of Bohai Bay, China. The block is operated until April 2026, when the petroleum contract expired.
To ensure continuity of its upstream operations, Genting Energy subsequently completed the acquisition of the Block 15/33 oil field in China. This investment reinforces Genting Oil & Gas’ commitment to expanding its energy resource base, supporting continued production and positioning the Group for future growth aligned with evolving energy needs.

KASURI PSC, INDONESIA
Genting Energy’s subsidiary Genting Oil Kasuri Pte Ltd (“GOKPL”) has a 100% participating interest in the Kasuri Production Sharing Contract (“Kasuri PSC”) covering onshore oil and gas development activities in West Papua, Indonesia.

GENTING FLNG, INDONESIA
PT Layar Nusantara Gas (“PT LNG”), another subsidiary of Genting Energy, is developing an onshore gas processing plant to offtake and process natural gas from the Kasuri block before transmitting it to the 1.2 MTPA FLNG facility (collectively, “Genting FLNG”), currently under development, for liquefaction.
The Genting FLNG Project achieved a major milestone in December 2025 with the successful hull float-out at Nantong Yard in China. This marks the completion of hull construction and transition to the next critical stage—topsides integration and system installation. The milestone was accomplished with an outstanding safety record of 10 million manhours without a lost time incident, underscoring our commitment to safe and efficient project execution.

DONGWUCHA SOLAR PLANT, CHINA
Genting Power owns a 39% interest in Dongwucha solar power plant, an aquaculture-complementary solar power plant in Fujian province jointly developed with SDIC Power Holdings Co., Ltd. The plant achieved commercial operation in May 2025 and was completed within budget, adding 120 Megawatt peak (“MWp”) of gross installed capacity to Genting Energy’s portfolio. This marks a key milestone in the Group’s renewable energy expansion and reflects strong project execution and operational discipline.

ZHOUSHAN GAS POWER PLANT, CHINA
The Zhoushan gas power plant in Zhejiang, a joint development with SDIC Power Holdings Co., Ltd., remains on track for commercial operation in 2026. The plant will feature advanced low-emissions combustion technology and hydrogen co-firing capability of up to 50%, reinforcing the Group’s commitment to sustainable, reliable and efficient power solutions for China’s growing energy demand. Once operational, it is expected to enhance grid stability and support regional economic development, marking a significant milestone in the Group’s growth strategy.
