We initially obtained quotes from 4 different companies to carry out the work. Three of them produced designs matching the lay out of the existing one, however, TBS came up with a complete redesign of the e-suite which absolutely transformed it.During the design process and build up to starting the work TBS could not have been more helpful and pleasant to deal with.Once the work started the bathroom fitter was excellent, he was very thorough and took an obvious pride in his work. As a result we have ended up with a magnificent en-suite admired by all who have seen it.I would not hesitate to recommend The Bathroom Studio.

All the staff at bathroom studio are really nice and so friendly and the displays are top quality. Having bought a house needing updating my partner and I had totally different ideas of what we wanted and the only thing we did agree on was the bath. Michelle was very professional offering advice and suggestions and for our 2nd visit she had somehow managed do a great design which amazingly we were both happy with. Our fitter Guy was amazing, and the whole fit from start to finish was totally stress free and quality workmanship. We are absolutely delighted with our new bathroom. Its so nice to find a company committed to giving good customer service and supplying quality goods. Thank you Bathroom StudioSo pleased with our bathroom we bought another !! Delighted with upstairs we also had our downstairs bathroom remodeled again by the very talented Michelle. However after stepping into the Bathroom studio one day I never looked back . Michelle’s plans totally transformed the bathroom and exceeded expectations. The fitters , Matty and Nick were amazing - they coordinated all the other contractors and made sure everything was up to standard . They also had to deal with my constant barrage of questions at all times of the day and out of hours !! They explained everything to me and the reason for every step for the process . They cleaned up at the end of every day tooUsing The bathroom studio was the best decision made :)

As we are an independent bathroom specialist and a family business we work very differently from most companies. You will be dealing directly with the owners of the business not commission based sales people so you will benefit not only from our expert knowledge but also our passion and commitment to our industry. We thrive on recommendation not huge advertising budgets so work harder to maintain our reputation and customer confidence.
That does not mean we are more expensive either – we are aggressive with our pricing and our customers are always pleasantly surprised when we present our final costings. For supply only we match internet prices but offer a friendly face and excellent after care support.
We are a design led company, offering superior brands and quality products and are in the fortunate position where we can choose our manufacturing partners based on exceptional quality and first class customer support meaning we can offer the very best products with confidence.

Do you offer a free home visit / design service?

We do not employ commissioned base salespeople who will sit in your home and try and sell you a bathroom – we offer a personal, highly professional service and always invite you to our showroom to meet the team and view our products before we progress your project with you.
We understand there are companies who offer free quotations and home visits but If we visited the home of every person who contacted us it would mean we could not offer the professional and comprehensive service to those who genuinely require our services.
We do offer a free design consultation at the showroom where we assess your individual requirements and then offer the right service and support to you.
If customers can not make it to our showroom we charge £50 to visit site if you have not been to our showroom before. (NE region only)  This fee is fully refundable once you go ahead with your order.

How much does a fully fitted bathroom cost?

On average our customers spend between £10,000 – £12,000 which would include everything from quality product specification / wall and floor tiling / lighting and a complete installation service.
We are here to help you stay within your budget so tell us what you are comfortable with and we will do our utmost to achieve the best solution possible.
Beware of the “£4995 fully fitted bathroom” offers – you pay for what you get and believe us by the time you select the products you want and pay for a qualified installer these companies can end up charging far more than we do for an inferior job!!

How long does it take to fit a bathroom?

It really does depend on the work involved and the complexity of the design but we always allocate 2 weeks for each project but some may be completed sooner. Obviously for more complex jobs the project can take longer but we will keep you fully informed throughout the installation regarding progress.  We do not endeavor to complete the job in the fastest time but to the highest standard. Once we have a full understanding of your project we will be able to provide a more accurate timescale.

Can we just buy products from your company?

Of course – you can purchase individual items from our showroom or contact us by phone or email for a competitive quotation any time. In addition we provide expert advice and excellent after care supporter.

I have bought my own products will you install them?

The simple answer is no. Ultimately we are a retail showroom and offer our installation service to those customers who want to buy into our complete service. Also we could not guarantee the products you have purchased from another source.

I just want to replace my bath with a shower enclosure but wish to keep the rest of the bathroom products would you install?

Again no – we only install complete bathroom renovations; but we would always offer guidance on which product is best and if you purchase the items from us we can supply a list of recommended installers who would provide a direct quotation for the work involved.
Also refitting old / used products has its own significant risks and we could not offer our extensive guarantees or warranties.

Graham and Michelle assumed control of the family enterprise in 2008, drawing from three decades of comprehensive industry immersion. Their divergent yet complementary proficiencies epitomize their teamwork ethos, as Graham quips, “one does the fluffing / one does the business!!”
Graham’s artistic flair and meticulous attention to detail stem from his background as an artist. Armed with a HND in Art and Design from Sunderland University, his technical drawing specialization underscores his expertise. He has been instrumental in enhancing The Bathroom Studio’s standing as the premier bathroom specialists in the region, blending product knowledge with innovative designs.
Michelle’s fervor and extensive bathroom expertise perfectly complement Graham’s technical finesse. From curating showroom displays showcasing the latest trends to guiding customers in tile selections, her involvement ensures a seamless installation process and customer satisfaction.

Paul, our warehouse and distribution manager, has dedicated over 18 years to our company, embodying the ethos of “service with a smile” – and what a smile it is. His role revolves around ensuring timely and safe delivery of customer products, ensuring each item arrives intact.
Clare, who joined us in 1995 fresh out of school, has evolved into an indispensable asset. Her extensive experience and knowledge benefit both customers and suppliers. Having been involved in every facet of the business, she possesses unparalleled insight into customer needs and the importance of supplier collaboration for seamless operations.
Clare effortlessly handles front-facing inquiries, manages accounts, and oversees administration, maintaining order across the board, including with her warehouse counterpart, Mr. Gales.

Michelle, our senior designer, has been a core member of the team for over 20 years. She has worked at the very highest level in our industry and has had the pleasure of designing some of the most prestigious bathrooms in our region.
She has enjoyed working on exclusive projects such as Close House Country Hotel and specialises in offering a complete interior design solution but even on a budget she always strives to exceed clients expectations such is her knowledge and passion.
Michelle not only offers expert advice but she adds a feminine touch and passion that many companies can not offer, and the comment we hear most is that she actually listens to her customers wishes.
She particularly loves working with clients who want to achieve their ‘Dream Bathroom’ and takes great pride from all her designs and finished installations.

It was Michelle’s family who in 1972 started manufacturing luxury acrylic baths in the North East which resulted in her father Jim Mongan not only travelling the world promoting the business; it also involved him visiting the most exclusive bathroom showrooms in UK.
During this time he learnt what was required to run a quality showroom and exactly what it takes to become a leading bathroom specialist.
It was in 1974 that we became involved in our first retail showroom in Durham and then our flagship showroom in Newcastle followed in 1989.
Over the years we have been fortunate to develop long standing relationships with the very best manufacturers who are renowned for quality and innovation resulting in our showroom now having the best brands and selection of products in the area.
