Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.

The site exhibits a dual personality in information density. The homepage is almost 100% fluff, utilizing H1 markers like WE ARE UNDEAD and H4 instructions like SELECT SIGNET TO ALIGN & DECIPHER without any specific mention of products or services. In contrast, the About page contains high-substance body text, citing the State of Decay franchise, a 10 million fan count, and a 2009 founding date. However, the value propositions are heavily repetitive, with variations of ‘light,’ ‘shining,’ and ‘brightness’ appearing across all four pages without adding new technical or creative detail.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

[H2] Our Story
Undead Labs was founded in 2009 and is known for developing the survival-fantasy franchise State of Decay, which has garnered a fan base of over 10 million. Undead Labs first released State of Decay in 2013 on Xbox 360 and launched State of Decay 2 in 2018 on Xbox One, Windows, and Xbox GamePass. State of Decay is not a hero’s journey but an experience that calls for ingenuity, adaptability, perseverance, and collectivism. Despite its dystopian setting, State of Decay is optimistic. Players’ actions have enduring consequences, and the struggle to survive is an expression of hope. As one of the Xbox Game Studios, our team operates from Undead Labs’ flagship studio in downtown Seattle, WA, and our satellite studios in Champaign, IL, and Orlando, FL.

🧭 Industry Context — common generic-claim patterns in Arts, Culture & Entertainment to weigh the text against
Generic Claims: world-class entertainment, unforgettable experiences, something for everyone, inspiring audiences, celebrating creativity, bringing communities together…
Red Flags: no specific upcoming events or programming, unnamed performers or artists, vague venue descriptions without capacity or location details, grandiose mission with no evidence of activity, no ticketing integration or booking mechanism, claims of cultural impact with no community evidence…
Semantic Drift Patterns: homepage claims cultural significance but events are corporate hire, positions as inclusive but pricing excludes most demographics, claims community focus but no community programming listed, artistic mission statement contradicted by purely commercial offerings…
Proof Expectations: specific past events with dates and attendance, named artists and performers with verifiable credits, press coverage with named publications, funding body acknowledgments with grant details, audience reviews on third-party platforms, programming calendar with confirmed dates…
