Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.

50% Reputation

The homepage provides high-density specifics, including the school’s founding year (1939), the name of the Head Teacher (Sally Davies), and a recent inspection date (June 2025). However, information density collapses across the rest of the site, as 100% of the sampled sub-pages return 404 errors with zero body text beyond a generic ‘Hm, this is embarrassing’ template. The ratio of substance is effectively zero on 5 out of 6 investigated URLs.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

[H1] Welcome to Goodway Nursery School
At Goodway Nursery School we have been supporting children and families in our local community since 1939. During this time we have taught generations of families, as well as welcoming new families each year. We are an inclusive happy school and are proud of our school and of our diverse school community. We have achieved our Gold Unicef Rights Respecting School Award and a respect for children’s rights threads through our work.

Both staff and governors are committed to ensuring the best possible outcomes for all our children and we achieved a judgment of Outstanding at our last Ofsted inspection in June 2025. Our staff team of highly experienced teachers and teaching assistants work together to provide an exciting range of learning opportunities that engage children of all needs and abilities, and encourage them to become confident and independent learners.

We look forward to getting to know your child and family, and believe that the best education is built on a partnership between home and nursery school. We want to work together to make sure that your child enjoys their time at nursery school and achieves their best, preparing them for the next stage of their learning journey.

Have a look at the video clip below to see children enjoying some of the wonderful learning experiences we offer.

Semantic Drift Patterns: homepage claims research-led but no research output listed, claims small class sizes but no student-to-staff ratios given, homepage promotes employability but no employment statistics provided, claims industry connections but no named employer partnerships…
Proof Expectations: accreditation body and registration details, published inspection or assessment results (Ofsted, QAA), specific student outcome statistics (graduation rates, employment rates), named faculty with verifiable qualifications, published course specifications and learning outcomes, tuition fees and financial aid details…
