Kinderland South Croydon & Kinderland Central CroydonWe have two beautiful Nurseries, one in South Croydon and one in Central Croydon. Our South branch has been running since 1995 and we have just recently opened the Central branch this year!
Kinderland is, and always has been, run by the Mullins family who absolutely adore running the Nurseries and are very passionate about providing fun and exciting Early Education in Croydon.

You can read all about our various beautiful rooms and age groups below.Within our Nurseries we have 5 different rooms for varying ages. We keep the environments brightly decorated with attractive wall displays showing the children's work. We always set up exciting activities that are well designed to reflect our curriculum ensuring the best facilities are provided for each child's individual learning and development needs.Within their room your child will have their own key person who will spark a close bond with your little one enabling a positive attachment so that when you, the parent, depart for the day the child knows they have their special person there for them alongside the rest of the team. This person will be there for the initial pre-start where you can get to know each other right from the get go! We find having a key person is vital for healthy communication between you and the Kinderland team.
[H3] Bumble Bees
Our Bumble Bees rooms are for our youngest babies. With our warm professional love and care babies are encouraged to explore using their inbuilt curiosity and desire to make sense of the world around them. Our positive, secure and healthy environment enables children to develop into confident, happy and strong little people! Our staff are highly qualified with a sound knowledge of baby development.
We have a very flexible routine in Bumble Bees which revolves around each babies individual needs. We initially follow your babies home routine and then gradually introduce our routine, depending on the age of the little one.
Our Bumbles enjoy weekly music sessions with Tunes for Tots, physical development with Leaps and Bounds and visits to our local library for rhyme time!

[H3] Busy Bees
Busy bees is for children around 16+ months and always has lots of activities available for the children to freely explore alongside their lovely staff members. The children in Busy's are given lots of opportunities to begin to develop their communication and language skills as well as building on their physical abilities. They are encouraged to take risks and try new things! We have lots of messy play to engage their senses and help them make sense of the world around them!
Our Busy's  enjoy weekly music sessions with Tunes for Tots, physical development with Leaps and Bounds and visits to our local library for rhyme time!

[H3] Tumble Tigers
Tumble Tigers is our room for our almost twos & younger two year olds, in this room we promote lots of communication and language skills and learn about topics such as our colours, awareness of numbers and shapes as well as being kind to our friends! Sometimes in this room we may start potty training so we have lots of facilities available to help us in this big step!
Our Tumbles enjoy weekly physical development with Leaps and Bounds and visits to our local library for rhyme time! They also may pop out for other outings depending on our learning theme - recently Tumbles have been to the Post Office whilst learning about People who help us! Tumble Tigers Curriculum

[H3] Barn Owls
In Barn Owls we have so much fun! We get messy, we explore and we make the best of friends. We learn about developing aspects of our social skills such as how we use our ‘listening ears’, following instructions, beginning to share and developing knowledge of who we are as people. The children also focus on their independence in Barn Owls, this means there is lots of toilet training that goes on! We work in partnership with parents to ensure continuous care which really helps with successful consistent toilet training.
Our Barn Owls enjoy weekly physical development sessions with Leaps and Bounds, local outings, Mango tree drummers 8 week course annually, football lessons in the spring & summer and lots of other visitors based on our learning themes! They also celebrate lots of different special days - Barns recently celebrated Teddy bear day!

[H3] Preschool
Preschool is about guiding the children towards being ready for that all important landmark, their first day at big school! This isn't just about reading and writing, it's about life skills too! The more prepared the children are the easier they will settle into school. Using our curriculum and the EYFS we plan exciting activities for the children in order extend their learning, challenge their abilities and encourage sustained shared thinking.
We aim to help the children learn skills such as the best ways to express our emotions, good manners, dressing ourselves, personal hygiene and expressing our wants, needs and ideas through words.
In Preschool we go on even more outings so that they can experience the wider world, we go to varying places to give children the best sense of awe and wonder! Our most favourite is our woodland adventures to Croham Hurst woods! We also embark on a great adventure to the London Transport Museum when we learn all about Transport in May & June.
Our Preschoolers have French Lessons twice a week, weekly football lessons and physical development sessions with Leaps and Bounds.

The Key Information about Kinderland Day NurseryOur Nurseries are open for 51 weeks of the year, and are closed at weekends and on bank holidays.
We are closed between 23rd December and the first working day after the 1st January.We are open between the hours of 7.30am and 6.30pm, Monday - Friday.

Privacy Policy

Parents are our PartnersWe believe that children benefit the most when parents and staff work together in partnership to ensure quality care and learning for the children. The nursery team welcomes parents as partners and this relationship needs to be built on trust and understanding. It is important that we, as carers, are able to support parents in an open and sensitive manner. A two way sharing of information is key.We aim to: Recognise and support parents as their child’s first and most important educators, and to welcome them into the life of the nursery!Generate confidence and encourage parents to trust their own instincts and judgements regarding their own child.Support parents in their own continuing education and personal development and inform them of relevant conferences, workshops and training.Always share learning goals for each child which we refer to as their Next Step! This is shared through wall displays and the eylog app.
Offer regular parents meetings so they can catch up with the key person via Mircosoft teams or in person at their convivence.
Inform parents about nursery activities and events through the eylog app and social media.Invite parents to informal parents evenings once a term to explore the nursery freely and get to know us better! It's also an opportunity for parents to meet other families within the Nursery.
Food and NutritionWe are keen to give children a healthy balanced diet providing sociable mealtimes for the children to share food together. We strongly encourage all children to take part in eating a healthy cooked meal together; learning to lay tables, serve dishes and try delicious new flavours! We also provide the children with a nutritious mid-morning and afternoon snack.
All meals are prepared and cooked on site each day by our lovely in house chef. We do not use salt in our cooking and try to use sugar sparingly. All our menus contain a high proportion of fresh fruit and vegetables. Vegetarian options are always available and we are happy to cater for any allergies or cultural and religious requirements. When it is time to wean your baby, we are here to follow your desires and our staff can also give you advice and support.SecurityWe have a bio metric (fingerprint) entry and exit system which works by using a numeric code of staff finger prints, therefore the door will only open for a member of staff. We also have CCTV throughout the premises. Staff must keep all personal property in lockers and mobile phones are not permitted in the rooms. We also ask that parents refrain from using their mobile phones unless really necessary.Safe Recruitment of Staff
Lots of our staff have been with us many years (some over 20 years!) but when we are recruiting for new team members we ensure to find the very best people! Prior to joining our team staff are required to successfully complete our recruitment process including obtaining an enhanced DBS and accredited references. Upon employment all new members of the staff team complete our Kinderland induction, sharing the value of our Kinderland ethos and our vision. The induction process also includes a rigorous training programme. We aim for our entire team to be certified Paediatric First Aiders.

FeesHalf-day session (7:30-1:00 or 1:00-6:30) : £64.40Full day 7:30am-6:30pm: £104.96Full day including funding cost: £73.34 (explained below)Additional services charge: £8.94** (For funded sessions only)                                                               FundingAt Kinderland Day Nursery, we want to ensure we are supporting our parents in every way possible! This includes financially!  We offer all the government support* such as the universal funding, the extended funding and the tax free childcare scheme. It can all get a bit complicated so we have detailed below how we offer the funding but please don't hesitate to get in touch or to come by for a visit to learn more on how this works.To check your eligibility please visit https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/Funding at KinderlandThe 15 or 30 hours are term time only and as we are open all year round, we stretch the funding so it becomes 11 hours or 22 hours per week throughout the entire year.What does this mean?For 15 hours universal funding you could be eligible for 2x funded sessions per week. This means you only pay £8.94 per funded session for additional services. This is £17.88 per week (excluding any extra sessions).For 30 hours it is the same as above but doubled.Our sessions are 7:30am-1:00pm or 1:00pm-6:30pm, you can have a mixture of AMs and PMs however, there is a limit of 1x funded session per day.What is the additional services charge?Our additional services charge is £8.94 per funded session (Food - £5.61, Extra Curricular - £1.95, Consumables - £0.94) which enables us to continue to provide a high quality of care for all children during their funded hours. As widely publicised the government funding does not match what we spend. This charge covers nappies, wipes and any other aspects of hygiene needs. The charge also enables us to provide healthy meals that the children can enjoy and share together. It also means we never charge any extra for our visitors & trips. For example, our Christmas fun, the animal visits, leaps and bounds etc. We offer African drumming lessons, twice weekly French lessons, football coaching and trips to the woods and so many others throughout the year! We take the children on outings too, to the London Transport Museum, local libraries & many other places. We also have inhouse musicians and we have our lovely Music & Movement lead who does sessions with every room!We never charge any more for any of this as the service charge helps us covers it.Please do take a look at our
