Information Density: Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) – Signal Evidence & AI Readability

Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
28 Impact Weight: 30 / 100
93% Reputation

Information density is exceptionally high, with almost zero heading fluff. H3 headings are used for specific technical deliverables like ‘Uganda Multidimensional Poverty Index 2026’ and ‘Proposing a Gross Well-Being Index: Evidence from Chad, Comoros and Iraq’ rather than power words. The body text provides specific methodological grounding in the Alkire-Foster method and Amartya Sen’s Capability Approach, resulting in a substance-heavy ratio.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

📝 The Narrative — clean text per page (the substance-vs-filler signal)

Advancing the framework for multidimensional poverty reduction

The Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI) develops national and global measures for multidimensional poverty and wellbeing based on the Alkire-Foster method. This is a statistical method grounded in Amartya Sen’s Capability Approach that creates a counting-based index which can be broken down into an information platform telling us more about the nature of people’s lives.
