Information Density: University College Dublin – Signal Evidence & AI Readability

Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
25 Impact Weight: 30 / 100
83% Reputation

UCD displays a high substance-to-fluff ratio, with the body text heavily populated by specific nouns and figures such as €969.5M in external funding and 480 partner institutions. Minor fluff is restricted to top-level hero headings like ‘It’s your future. Master it.’ and ‘Making their mark’. The News and Opinion section provides a dense stream of verifiable entity-based content, including named professors and specific funding amounts (€8 million, €130k).

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

📝 The Narrative — clean text per page (the substance-vs-filler signal)
