[H2] Common questions before booking.

Why do you publish prices when most studios don't?
Pricing is information. Hiding it makes buyers do more work and weeds out good-fit clients who don't want to sit through a discovery call before they know if they can afford you. Publishing the tiers lets people self-qualify.

What if my project doesn't fit a tier?
That's what Custom is for. Multi-language, e-commerce, integrations, unusual content systems — fixed-price quote after a 30-minute call, scoped before signing. The tier prices are floors, not ceilings; we'll tell you upfront if your scope sits above the Custom floor.

Do you charge extra for hosting?
First year of hosting is included in every tier. Year-2 hosting is €25/month, or you can move the site anywhere — we'll hand you the files and the DNS.

What's actually in the care plan?
Hosting, daily backups, security and software updates, monthly small content tweaks (up to 30 minutes total per month — bigger changes get scoped separately), and a monthly SEO health check with a short written summary. Cancel any month.

Can we do branding without a site build?
Yes. Branding runs as a standalone project — typically four to six weeks. Pricing is bespoke; rough range €1,500 to €5,000 depending on scope.

Do you do SEO without a site build?
Yes — but only if your existing site has the technical bones to make it worthwhile. We'll tell you in the free audit whether SEO retainer money is worth spending or whether the build needs to come first.

What do you NOT do?
WordPress / Wix / Squarespace builds, themed templates, unlimited revisions, video production, app development, social media management as a standalone service. We're a focused studio. We refer the rest out.

Where are you based and where do you work?
We work with Irish businesses, nationally. The studio is Ireland-registered and Ireland-based. Most engagements run remotely with one or two in-person sessions if useful.

Brief: Cork-based home-services SME with a starter site that wasn't delivering enquiries. Wanted "more leads" without an obvious budget for ads. Existing site was a drag-and-drop builder, slow on mobile, no schema, weak local-SEO signals.
What we did: Rebuilt on a Growth tier — five service pages with intent-mapped headings, a quote form with conditional questions to qualify lead temperature, full local-business schema, GMB cleanup. Wired Matomo, Search Console, and a single conversion page.
Outcome (six months post-launch): Form submissions moved from intermittent to a reliable weekly cadence. Organic traffic for the core service-area queries doubled. The owner stopped buying paid clicks for the head terms — organic was carrying them.

Brief: Specialist consultancy bidding on a six-figure public-sector RFP. Their existing site looked DIY, didn't tell their story, and was costing them at the credibility stage of evaluation. Three weeks to respond.
What we did: A focused Custom build under a tight deadline — case studies, methodology pages, team bios, accreditation badges, downloadable capability statement. We mirrored the language buyers used in similar RFPs, not the language the consultancy used internally.
Outcome: They progressed to the shortlist (we don't know the final award outcome). The RFP feedback specifically called out the website as evidence of "delivery maturity". The site has since underpinned three further pitches.

Brief: B2B SaaS that had outgrown its founder-era brand. Logo and palette were doing the company a disservice in late-stage sales conversations. They wanted the brand and site to match the technical maturity of the product.
What we did: Full branding project — discovery, identity system, voice guide, full guidelines PDF — followed by a Custom-tier site rebuild. Migrated their case studies, integrated their existing pricing API, redesigned the dashboard login surface for consistency.
Outcome: The new brand shipped first; the site followed three weeks later. The team reported a noticeable lift in deck-stage conversion in the next quarter; their head of marketing told us the cleaner brand "stopped being something we had to apologise for".

Brief: Specialist retailer with a credible existing site but flat organic growth. They were spending heavily on Google Ads and wanted to lean less on paid. Six-month engagement to design and run an SEO content engine.
What we did: Keyword map, twelve briefs over six months, on-page optimisation pass on the existing 40 pages, internal-linking refactor, schema completeness audit. Honest monthly reporting — what moved, what didn't, what we were trying next.
Outcome: Organic sessions on the targeted page set roughly doubled by month four. The retainer paid for itself in saved ad spend by month four; they kept it on month-by-month and trimmed paid budget by a meaningful share.

[H2] Audit FAQ.

How long does it take to get the audit?
Five working days, usually three. We'll confirm receipt within one working day so you know it's in the queue.

Will you try to sell me a rebuild?
No. The audit goes to your inbox as a document. If you read it and want to talk about a rebuild, you reply to that email. If you read it and don't, we don't follow up. We won't add you to a newsletter or push you into a "discovery call".

What if my site is brand new and I don't have one yet?
Then this audit isn't right for you — but we can audit your competitor set instead, which is often more useful pre-build. Mention that in the goal field and we'll redirect.

Is there a catch?
No catch. We do this because most of the people who hire us first met us via an audit. It's the strongest top-of-funnel we run, and it's earned by being substantive — not by being a sales call in a costume.

Can you audit a Squarespace / Wix / Shopify site?
Yes. The audit is platform-agnostic. We'll mention if the platform itself is constraining the fixes we'd recommend, but we won't reflexively tell you to leave it.

The studio
[H2] What Raven Design is.
Raven Design is a small, senior, Irish-based web design and digital marketing studio. We design and build websites, identity systems, SEO foundations and marketing campaigns for Irish businesses — and we've been doing it for over a decade.
We are deliberately small. The work is done by senior practitioners, not handed down to junior account managers and project managed back up. The trade-off is that we take on fewer clients than a bigger agency would. The benefit, for the clients we do take on, is that the people answering your emails are the same people writing your code and your copy.

[H3] The studio's principles
1. Information beats theatre. Most agency websites read like a riddle: vague claims, no prices, no specifics, a "let's talk" button at every turn. We think the buyer deserves more. So we publish prices, name our process, write our case studies in real numbers, and tell you what the audit covers before you fill in the form.
2. The site is a commercial asset. A website is not a brochure, a portfolio piece, or a design ornament. It is a piece of operational infrastructure that should pay for itself in a defined window. Every Raven build starts with that premise.
3. Honest reporting. When something works, we say so. When something doesn't move, we say that too. Marketing dashboards full of green ticks are theatre. We'd rather show a flat line and a clear hypothesis for what to try next than dress up no-progress in a vanity metric.
4. Build for who's actually buying. Most of our clients sell to other Irish businesses, or to Irish consumers with specific local needs. We design for that market: the language, the trust signals, the credentials, the pricing expectations. We don't import a Bay-Area template and pretend it suits a Cork SME.
5. We refer out everything we don't do well. WordPress builds, themed templates, video production, app development, social media management as a standalone service — all things other studios do better than we would. We'll tell you who.
