The difference is that this kit teaches you how to knit a scarf “flat” with straight knitting needles, and the Cowl kit teaches you to knit a tube with circular knitting needles. Scarf or cowl, you can start out as a true beginner with either kit and both are life-changing gifts for anyone with a hankering to learn how to knit!
