Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
23 Impact Weight: 30 / 100
77% Reputation

The information density is exceptionally high for a local clinic, featuring specific practitioner names like Mr. Ryan Khaira and Mr. Karundeep Singh Bal alongside their exact BSc and MCOptom qualifications. The site provides a transparent pricing table for Eye Exams (e.g., Enhanced NHS £29.95 / Private £64.95), which is a significant departure from typical industry fluff. Substance is slightly diluted by minor concept repetition, specifically the ‘Buy one get one FREE’ offer which appears in multiple sections of the homepage and the dedicated Offers page without additional detail.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

Client Testimonials

[H3] Katie M.

After having a fall and breaking my prescription sunglasses I needed a very dark lens in the new pair. Jaysons went above and beyond to please me. I’m delighted with them and even received a case to match the frame colour. Excellent service as always.

[H3] Nick B.

I am a very satisfied customer. I have had thorough examinations in the past, one of which led to an appropriate hospital referral. I have been pleased with my glasses, and on two occasions have needed repairs due to my own clumsiness, these were done quickly with no charge. The staff are all very friendly and professional. I highly recommend.

[H3] Ajay M.

Had my eye test done here at the start of the year after a long time as I wasn’t sure if my prescription had changed. The test was very thorough and the results explained clearly. I was told my prescription hadn’t changed and didn’t feel under any pressure to buy new frames. Very professional, will go back again and definitely recommend as there’s a great range of frames at a reasonable price.

About

[H1]

Jaysons Opticians was founded in 1985 by Mr Kamlesh Lakhani who provided high-quality clinical personal eye care to over four generations of the local population until his well-deserved retirement in March 2022.
The practice is now headed by Mr Ryan Khaira BSc MCOptom Prof Cert Glauc and Mr Karundeep Singh Bal BSc MCOptom Prof Cert Glauc, who since graduating from Aston University together they have amassed a wealth of experience at a range of large high street opticians and smaller independent practices. Our current resident optometrist is Joseph Darby McOptom, and he is supported by pre-reg optometrist Priya Kaur Tanda.
At the start of 2023, we carried out a refit to bring the practice up to date and make it a more comfortable environment for our patients. We aim to continue the fantastic work that Mr Lakhani has done over the years by providing complete eyecare alongside additional hearing care services to our patients. With the latest eye examination equipment such as an OCT scanner and automated testing equipment, we have everything the big chains have, but as an independent, we are in a position to give a more personal service, taking more time to meet your individual needs.
You can bring the whole family to us at Jaysons for eyecare, with services ranging from low vision assessments for older patients to visual stress assessments and myopia control options for children. We also offer Eyeplan packages, where patients pay a monthly fee that covers a range of services including a comprehensive eye exam and OCT scans when needed, plus 10% off glasses.
On the hearing care side of things, our services range from a simple hearing health check to comprehensive hearing assessment, private hearing aids, and microsuction ear wax removal.
Along with caring for your vision and hearing, we offer a wide range of eyewear brands. All frames are carefully chosen by our knowledgeable team with our patients’ needs in mind, and we’ll be happy to help you choose the most suitable frames for your vision needs and lifestyle.

Enhanced Eye Exams

[H1]

Regular eye examinations are an important part of looking after your vision. We offer enhanced eye exams to private patients, which include a comprehensive range of tests to assess your vision and eye health.
[H2] What to expect from your eye exam
Adult eye exams generally take around 40 minutes. We take our time to ensure you are always comfortable and explain each test as we go so you can understand what is happening with your eyes. We, of course, do a visual acuity test, to check if you need a prescription for glasses or contacts to correct your vision, but we also do a number of other important tests.
Your depth perception, the way your eyes work together, and the movement of your eyes will all be checked. We also take a good look at your retina at the back of your eye using fundus photography. This allows the optometrist to examine your retina closely, which can reveal a lot about your eye health.
We also recommend including an OCT scan as part of your regular eye exam. This advanced scan is one of the best ways to check your eyes for minute signs of eye diseases including age-related macular degeneration, diabetes and glaucoma.

[H2] The importance of regular eye exams
While some changes in your eye health can have noticeable symptoms, such as finding it harder to focus on close detail, there may be more concerning changes to your eyes that have no obvious symptoms. Many eye conditions can cause irreversible damage to your vision if left untreated so detecting and diagnosing in the early stages gives you a better chance of successful treatment and management.
We recommend most adults over 16 and under 60 have their eyes examined every 2 years. Anyone older or younger, and anyone with diabetes or who is over 40 with a family history of glaucoma, should have an eye exam every year. Your optometrist will advise you if they think you should have more regular eye exams.
If you are eligible for standard NHS eye tests, we offer you the option of upgrading to our enhanced eye examination for extra peace of mind.
You have the option of joining our Eyeplan scheme, which spreads the cost of your eye examination and includes additional benefits such as OCT scans whenever you need them and a discount on glasses.

Contact Lenses

[H1]

There are hundreds of contact lenses on the market and the choice of what to go for can seem daunting but we will carry out a full assessment and consultation with the patient. We will discuss the various types and establish what the best option is for the individual’s lifestyle requirements.
Contact lenses don’t have to be worn full time and are a great alternative to glasses for sports, social occasions and holidays.
We have a great track record in fitting previously unsuccessful wearers of contact lenses.
[H3] Daily Disposable
Great for both occasional and full time wearers, daily disposables are quickly becoming the best modality in contact lens wear! By using a brand new lens every day, your eye is much less likely to develop microbial infections (compared with traditional re-usable lenses) and whereas original daily disposables may have been dry or unsuitable for long days, modern materials such as Alcon's water gradient technology in 'Dailies Total 1' enable comfortable & health lens wear all day every day.
Available for:Short sight, Far sight, Astigmatism, Presbyopia (Varifocal).
[H3] 2 Weekly - Monthly
Great for full time wearers, reusable contact lenses have been around for many years and come in a variety of shapes, sizes and materials. These rely on greater care, as a single lens sometimes has to last up to 3 months, but can be more cost effective when worn full time. The wide range of reusable lenses means that they can be better for people with stronger prescriptions (which may not be available in a daily disposable). Modern reusable lenses tend to be made of silicon hydrogel materials, which enable more oxygen to the front of your eye, thereby allowing a longer wear time and even overnight wear - imagine waking up with clear vision!
Available for:Short sight, Far sight, Astigmatism, Presbyopia (Varifocal).
[H3] Toric (for Astigmatism)
Whilst the more common short & long sighted prescriptions can be corrected with standard "spherical" contact lenses, Astigmatic prescriptions require a "toric" lens. These more specialised lenses allow better accuracy at correcting the distortion that's seen at all distances with an astigmatic or "rugby-ball shaped" eye. Toric lenses are now available in more and more varieties, including daily disposable, monthly reusable, traditional hydrogel, or breathable silicon hydrogel materials.
Available for:Short sight, Far sight, Astigmatism, Presbyopia (Varifocal).
[H3] Varifocal (for Presbyopia)
As our eyes age, the crystalline lens inside becomes harder and can no longer change shape to vary its focus. This means that after the age of 45-50, we all find that we need extra help adjusting our focus from distance to near. These varifocal contact lens options provide a stronger prescription for near, allowing you to read more comfortably without glasses, whilst maintaining great distance vision at the same time!
