Information Density — The Lens

Classify each sentence as substantive or hollow. Grounding markers — numbers, currencies, dates, technical units, named entities — outweigh marketing adjectives. When fluff sits right next to hard evidence, the fluff is forgiven.

Info Density Power-words vs. Substance ratio.
19 Impact Weight: 30 / 100
63% Reputation

Information density is diluted by generic headings such as [H1] Caring vets in Edinburgh and [H3] Services. While body text provides specific geographic locations (Raeburn Place, Gilmerton, Portobello High Street), it relies heavily on power words like ‘top-notch care’ and ‘trademark trusting and empathetic’ without defining these standards clinically. The ‘Pet Health Plan’ value proposition is repeated across multiple pages with minimal variation in depth, leading to a high concept-to-content repetition ratio.

Information Density is read straight from the body copy: how much of the text carries grounded, checkable substance versus hollow filler. Below is the clean text the engine analyzed, then the industry’s known generic-claim patterns to weigh it against.

[H2] Our Pet Health Plan: The best option for you and your pet

Keeping your pets as happy and healthy as possible is the most important thing for owners. But at the same time, veterinary care can become expensive.
That’s why we’ve devised our Pet Health Plan, the best way to support your pet’s health, plus you save money at the same time.
Routine treatments and vaccinations will always be a part of a healthy pet’s life, and we will meet your pet yearly to administer them. As a member of our Pet Health Plan, you will have the peace of mind of knowing that this care is covered.
Owners of dogs, cats and rabbits can access the plan, which breaks down the cost of routine veterinary services to a monthly direct debit. Included are annual vaccinations, flea and worm control and two annual health check-ups, as well as discounts on a range of services, and even pet food.
Get in touch with the team to find out more about how our Pet Health Plan can help you.

🧭 Industry Context — common generic-claim patterns in Pets, Veterinary & Animal Services to weigh the text against
Generic Claims: we treat your pets like family, compassionate care for every animal, your pet deserves the best, trusted by pet owners for years, state-of-the-art veterinary care, because pets are family…
Red Flags: no RCVS or veterinary board registration visible, guaranteed health outcomes for animals, alternative treatments presented as veterinary medicine, no named veterinarians with qualifications, pricing hidden entirely, stock photos of animals instead of real practice images…
Semantic Drift Patterns: homepage claims advanced care but services are basic wellness only, claims specialist expertise but no specialist qualifications listed, homepage shows high-tech equipment but facility photos show basic setup, claims 24/7 emergency but contact page shows limited hours…
Proof Expectations: RCVS registration for all veterinary surgeons, specific specialist qualifications beyond BVSc, real facility photographs, transparent fee estimates for common procedures, named veterinary team with qualifications, emergency and out-of-hours care arrangements…
